I would give zero if I could. This was the first time I went here. I started off by putting $5 in quarters. My mistake! There was not any soap left, just a tiny bit coming out of the brush, but I tried to work with it. Unfortunately, the brush scratched up the paint on my car cuz lack of soap. I tried using the soap spray but it didn't really clean my car at all. I ended up going to a different one. I felt pretty much ripped off when I left this place and there's no way to get ahold of anyone for a refund. read more

This place did a great job on my Subaru Outback today. Met with the owner, very nice guy. $19.99 for a car wash, inside and out which included vaccuming and tire dressing etc. This place is way better than any other car wash I have found in Grass Valley / Nevada City area. I went there today just to vacuum my car. I opened all my doors, took out all the mats and got ready to put in my quarters. In small faded writing it said out of order. I looked at the other 3 stations and 3 out of 4 said out of order in the same faded print. So I put all the mats back in and drove around to the 4th station. I took all the mats out again, opened all my doors and I put the quarters in to find the sound went on but there was ZERO suction! WOW! What a pain! Car still needs vacuuming. read more

My husband had a body shop for fifteen years, so we are pretty picky. Actually no one has ever cleaned our cars as well as my husband and he always complains. Not so with Gold rush!! have tried two other auto detailers in grass valley and they were just ok. I actually had to take the car back for a few things that got missed at one shop which was more expensive than Gold Rush, too. I took my dog dirty car in yesterday and Steven made it look better than new. Really! All the dog hair is gone, the engine compartment is immaculate, carpets like new. I asked him to get the car ready to sell and was very satisfied with the work. I literally upped my asking price and car condition level by $1000 after I got the car back. Communication was excellent. I won't use another detail shop after this. read more

I like these kinda of self wash places, the wash station is just like all the others. But for some reason every time I go, I have to move my car at least once to find a vacuum that is working or I find a vacuum that likes to eat my quarters. I go here when I don't feel like driving across town. read more

Came here to vacuum out my Jeep Liberty. Four vacuums, four trash barrels, no waiting. Put four quarters in the slot and had enough time to vacuum all four seating areas. No problems at all. read more

Frankly, this doesn't even deserve 1 star. This place is utterly unreliable: My wife dropped in for an inside/outside wash after calling to affirm availability. Oddly, she was told on the phone that if she didn't see anyone to knock on the equipment room door. Upon arrival, nobody. So she knocked on the aforementioned door. No answer. Then a man who was loitering in his truck beside the car wash yelled out his window, "he's asleep." My wife turns ands says, excuse me? And walks closer. "He's asleep upstairs," the man repeated. She is so stunned, she asks again, what?? He repeats himself, and then adds, "He had a hard day yesterday." (?!!?!?) She left. ( can't speak to detailing by appt or the self-service wash.) read more
