My horse LOVES it here. They take great care of him. And Nicky is AMAZING! She is training my horse and he is learning so fast! It is a simple place and it is priced accordingly.!! If you want fancy, then this is not it, but if you want to board your horse and he be happy, this is it. Lots of space and turn out time. And the other review about being tied to a pole and being left there, that is good for the horse to learn patience, my horse often goes through this exercise and is learning how to wait and be a good boy, if he ever needs to be tied up somewhere else, he will know how to wait for me, duh. This person clearly doesn't know anything about horse and he's just talking nonsense. I'm sure he paid very affordable for those lessons. That's why it's done like that. If you want professional teaching his kid, he should definitely had gone somewhere else that would be a lot more expensive obviously. It's like he's paying cheap prices and expecting luxury kind of service. Besides, he doesn't know clearly anything about how horses are trained !! This place you get what you pay for. Affordable. I Do NOT recommend this stable!!! My daughter took lessons for a bit before we ended up switching barns because of how messy and sloppy and slow their business is/was. They just give you any instructor- no matter if your riding western or English it just depends who's working if I'm being honest. Western instructors literally teach English which in my eyes does not make sense?! Let's talk about the barn manager- rude- she would curse around my child (and around everyone at the barn) not even realizing there were kids there. They have the horses tied up all the time and I've even seen horses just left alone with no one near it while the horse would be tied to a post or a fence. In my opinion that is not a good thing especially for the horse- just sitting there being lonely with no one even near it or watching it?! I would not want that to happen if i were a horse. The instructors were also not professional at all- literal teenagers would be teaching that seemed like they knew nothing about riding or teaching, they would also be distracted very easily- the barn manager would also sometimes interrupt my daughter's lesson for a stupid reason like needing help or anything like that. Once again, i would not recommend this stable. BUT, i would recommend finding a different riding school/ stable that is not called "Gold Rush Farms." read more

This place won't knock your socks off in terms of the buildings. But who cares. The horses and trails are worth it. Don't go here if you want to learn English or dressage. Read the room. It's for western and trail riding. My daughter got very good at western and could even do some barrel racing. Nikki is a good instructor and some of the younger teachers for beginners are quite good as well. This is the largest tract of undeveloped land in Easton and thus great place for trail riding. Worth your time and don't forget to tip your trail guides well. read more

This was a great ride! The only concern I had was the manager's behavior. She was nice enough to accommodate an extra person in our group but was super passive aggressive about it. She also had a very rude tone to the guests (including my group) and employees. I would highly recommend riding with Aaron. He was an amazing trail guide and saved the day!! read more

I was invited to my granddaughter's show this past friday (July 25, 2019). She had just finished a week of horse camp. My impressions are as follows. The facilities are crumbling. I know it's a farm not a hotel, but please, this place is falling apart. Upon arrival day one there's on old man (90) sitting on a porch or what used to be a porch just staring ahead mumbling. A woman comes into view smoking a cigarette and saying, "I better get one last one in before the kiddies show up". Nice touch. Another employee is sucking down a "red bull". Nice touch also. We didn't expect a resort but a clean well run organized camp this place is not. Pit bulls roam the grounds sniffing everyone. One building that was also falling apart had many pit bulls in it just trying to get out. Again, nice touch. Swimming in the horse trough is also a nice touch. Hell a plastic pool would have been better. Again just lovely. Most of the hands were very nice and good towards the campers but one woman at the show was beyond rude towards the kids. She starts screaming in an angry scary voice to my granddaughter, "no your not doing it right", the horse she was on was not responding to commands. Instructions for the childs benefit are onr thing, how they are administered is another. Patience, understanding not sreaming like a drill instructor. She has riding experience and told us later that this horse was not gentle but the opposite. This same woman employee scolded several other girls to the point of tears. Final thoughts: Never again at this place. Filthy, run down, depressing, scary, disorganized, overpriced. I would pay triple for a good place and we'll find one. There are many in the area way better than Gold (what a joke) Rush Farms. In my opinion, spend your money elsewhere. We learned about Gold Rush the hard way. Very Dissapointed grandparent. Helpful, friendly, and very speedy staff, with an adorably eager dog on the premises! Call to make an appointment early in the day (around 9 or 9:30). They have rides going out btween 11:00 and 3pm (at least that was the case when we went in early winter). We rode for about a dollar a minute--$45 for 45 minutes. Well worth the price! Our group of four had a wonderful experience trail riding. The girls and instructors were patient, informative, and very professional. We did a lovely loop in the woods that would be absolutely gorgeous if you go during peak foliage. I had never ridden before coming here and felt very comfortable throughout the entire tour. please do yourself a favour & go elsewhere they are so disorganised always running late & we often got a different teenage girl to "teach" our children every week. and the western style they taught looked very sloppy to me we have since taken the children to learn English style/dressage & the difference is night & day. They ride so elegantly and competently & in 9 months have gone from complete beginners to cantering! the owner and teenage girls do not seem to treat each other very respectfully either We are glad we changed riding schools read more

My daughter rode here last summer through a Girl Scouts camp program, and this fall we took our entire GS Troop to earn our first badge of the year. Gentle, obviously loved, horses, nice human staff, wonderful trails through the woods; the girls all had a great experience. Absolutely the best time - took my two young nieces there today and it was the most memorable day. It was their first time so I was a bit nervous going into it but within 30 minutes they were able to steer, stop and start all on their own.The horses were so well trained and perfect for youngsters to learn on.
