Large well lit parking lot, lot's of spots right by the entrance. The lobby area has 24 hr coffee available (always a perk ) The room was nice, it had everything we needed. Comfy clean bed, large tv and a fridge. Also a microwave and a small coffee maker. The bathroom was average size too, again clean. Towels were not the softest but as long as they were clean I was fine with that. Room was on the first floor, that made things a lot easier after a long day on the road. They have a complementary breakfast available with lot's of different options. Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, oatmeal. I loved the hot iced cinnamon rolls. Normal drink options, coffee, juice and milk. There is also a machine that makes hot fresh pancakes.

I didn't know quite what to expect with the new restrictions, but the hotel staff were all incredibly pleasant during check-in and other questions. They showed tremendous patience and composure when dealing with a difficult customer, and I know how hard it can be to not lose it on some people! I really appreciated that. The room was very clean, and the biggest changes I noticed during my stay were 1) they aren't cleaning you room daily, or at all during your stay unless it's long and you ask for it, and 2) breakfast is not self serve buffet and there was no seating. The room thing didn't bother me- I rarely feel like my room needs cleaning during a hotel stay that's less than a week. I had plenty of linens, coffee, cups, and they even had a few paper plates and plastic utensils in the cabinet if needed. Such a nice addition when most food is take out only. The breakfast consisted of gluten free bagels, a grab and go bag (fruit cup, granola bar, muffin, utensils), your choose of prepackaged but warmed biscuits, cereal packages, milk, OJ, yogurt, really almost everything they normally have you just have to ask the attendant to get it for you. I was impressed and relieved that they didn't just toss a plain granola bar at me as I left early in the morning. Overall a wonderful stay at this hotel and enjoyable despite so many limitations with the pandemic.

As sometimes can be the case, finding a place to stay can be tough. This time it was impossible with a swim meet and weddings in town. I stumbled across The Stained Glass Inn while searching the web. Reserved a 3 night stay and hoped for the best. It was perfect. This old historic home is beautiful and decorated with gorgeous antiques. The architecture and history of this town is fascinating. Our host, Chuck, was so accommodating and added to the charm of this endearing small town Americana experience. Sunbury has an actual downtown area with a beautiful park and springtime flowers were everywhere. Dinner at the Chestnut Street Inn was an unexpected surprise. We were welcomed like locals to this casual eatery that served up a downright gourmet meal for $12. The lobster & shrimp cakes dinner was out of this world. What The Stained Glass Inn is not? A fancy, stuffy B&B with everything new and sparkling. It is not large, only 3 rooms. It is not a sleepy town, the train goes through and logging trucks pass by on trips to the mill. It is not a town of quaint little shops to spend too much money on touristy trinkets. It appears to be a town with a struggling economy filled with hard working good people. In a nutshell, we loved it. We will go back in the future. No more hotels for us. Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing. Chuck takes orders for & prepares individual breakfast menus. Who does that at a typical B&B?! Pam & Neil Indialantic, FL

The accommodations couldn't have been any better if I had made reservations. While I retrieved my bags from the car (I had suspected that I might not be able to make it home that day), Chuck, one of the owners, tidied up my room. Chuck then gave me a tour of the second floor where I would be staying. The decor had a homey but modern sensibility. My room was well-appointed and included a gas fireplace, plenty of towels and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast the following morning was filling and delicious. On leaving, Chuck carried my suitcase to my car. I had to walk across the street to make an appointment and he actually stayed to clean the snow off my car and brought the keys to me when he was done...above and beyond the call of duty! I highly recommend the Stained Glass Inn and plan on staying there more often.

The grounds are well kept with every imaginable pest you can think of. Your check in experience will be completely remote and you will have to wait 30-50 minutes for the manager to arrive to actually give you the key. Once inside of many of the luxurious suites you can expect some very questionable features. But this is just because of how exquisite this motel is. Seemingly endless possibilities of new and exciting things that can come up as a surprise when you least expect it. The condition of your room is not that of a typical motel but a little more classy feel. The stains on every surface just add that little touch needed that regular places miss out on. The cleanliness level is on par with that of a public restroom in many fast food restaurants. Your checkout experience will be similar to your check in procedure but when you try to check out early you will not be able to do so and get your refund back. This is simply due to the fact that this motel is highly sought after and is under a tight schedule of bookings and reservations. THIS A NON REFU DABLE RATE. The manager will also ghost your calls if you try and complain about this.
