My room is spacious and large, super clean and has all kinds of extra little amenities. Free breakfast in the morning is a perk. They had cookies set out as well, which is always a nice welcome, along with free bottled water. I stayed in room 300 (digital key worked just fine). I prefer rooms at or near the end of hallways away from elevators. I ended up choosing the end of the hall that is closest to the main road so there was occasional street noise but it wasn't constant. The room is very clean - the bathroom looks like it was recently renovated...also very clean. They have all the amenities of a Hampton Inn - gym, free parking, free breakfast. It's my preferred chain for travel. This location has a pool as well so that's nice for families. I would definitely stay at this location again.

He used Absolut Peppar and added some more pepper and V-8 to the mix instead of regular tomato juice. One of the nicest things they had at the check-in was the timeline starting with the 1834 owners all the way up to the current owner who purchased in 2017. Decor is reminiscing of the Victorian era mainly. I had a delicious pork Osso buco meal at their pub and restaurant, watched the game and had great dinner. Location is wonderful, just a couple miles from Bucknell university- and walking to all the quaint locally owned shops and stores. The things I would request- new towels, some updates to the courtyard rooms, quicker check in service and I wasn't quite sure where to go to get to my room initially. Great team that works there.

No stopping it because it leaks when closed too. The bigger issue was the disgusting sheets and such. Black stains on the sheet. Mattress pad was a mess. Blood, urine stains were all over it. Then there were actually crumbs on the mattress pad. How they got there, no one knows. Front desk gave us new linens. They were upset about how bad the mattress pad was. Second pad was also stained but only one small one. They obviously have an issue with housekeeping and keeping their stuff clean. Management comped the room which was nice.

The building is clean and crisp throughout. Beautifully decorated. The room is spacious. And that jetted tub soothes away achy traveling muscles. An unexpected highlight was the TLC and attention to detail provided to the guest by the incomparable Jody. She's phenomenal. I had the immediate sense of her kindness and compassion. The hotel was rebuilt and had 14 fireplaces of which only 7 remain. Around the turn of the century, it was converted to one of the town's general stores. The town post office was located in the rear of the building starting in 1897 off and on through 1960. The Showers family operated a general store from the mid 40's until 1983 at which time it was leased to 3 successive storekeepers till 1994. At that time it was converted to the elegant Bed & Breakfast it is today. It hosts 4 beautifully appointed rooms, a 2 bedroom suite with galley kitchen and an antique & craft co-op shoppe located on the first floor.
