This morning, I was in a taxi (Cab No. 5925) with my baby, on the way to daycare. When we arrived at our destination, I was focused on getting my baby and our belongings out of the cab safely. During this time, the driver was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand him clearly due to his strong accent. I thought he was saying "car decline," which didn't make sense to me in the moment.
I stepped a couple of feet away from the car while holding my baby to place her on the sidewalk and was planning to go back to ask the driver what he meant. Before I could return, the driver suddenly yelled at me very rudely, saying "Hey, stop!" in a loud and aggressive tone -- this happened right in front of my child, which was very upsetting.
It turns out he was saying my card had declined, but his tone and behavior were completely inappropriate and made an already stressful morning worse. read more
