I called them 3 times during my stay and did not get a taxi either time. I even pre booked 1 hr ahead. They called at the arrive timing saying they were on their way, then the actual driver called saying he would be 10-15 mins as he just got the request when I called the company back they said "maybe the drivers car isn't working". So, I hate to be /that/ person, but the cab companies in this town really need to get it together. This is specifically about Teco Taxi. At around 8 o'clock at my job, I figure I need to call to pre-book a cab for when I'm off work at 9:30. I call them, I say for 9:35 pm, they say no problem, take down place, destination, even my name. I thought, okay great, this should work just fine. At 9:30ish, I'm heading outside of my work with the rest of my coworkers, and I don't see a cab. Okay, fine. At 9:35 I call and ask about my pre-booked cab. They said that the drivers were busy! I asked why it wasn't pre-booked, they said that they became busy or something. Okay, not really another option at the moment, how long? They said 5-15 minutes! I'm standing outside in only a sweater, because I didn't think I'd have to wait outside for my ride, when I pre-booked a cab. Fine. So 15 minutes go by, as I'm getting cold and fingers freezing and I'm texting people looking for a ride. I realize the time and call again. Again, a little ticked about the pre-booked part. He says they'll be ANOTHER 10 minutes. I say fine, and he hangs up. This is the point my mom gets fed up and gets herself ready and warms up the car to just come and get me. The driver himself calls me 5 minutes later saying he'll be on his way soon, 5-7 minutes, and I tell him not to bother because I found another ride that's ACTUALLY going to show up when they say they will. I'm not sure if pre-booking was the problem, but if they say okay, they should probably show up on time. Thankfully, I got home safe and am now warming up. Luckily it wasn't too cold outside or there'd be a lot more of a problem than it already is. Just to add here, when they have showed up to get me, the drivers tend to drive a little fast and slightly... Scary. Just to add to the list of things wrong. So just a warning I guess, don't bother with Teco Taxi IF you can even avoid it, I know there's not a lot of cab companies in town, but this is ridiculous. I had ordered a early taxi to the airport, taxi was almost 30 minutes late and I eventually had to drive my own vehicle to avoid missing my flight, I was still almost not able to check my bag. So stressful, not a reliable company. read more

The only company which consistently under estimate the length of your wait for a cab. And if you dare try to complain they ignore your calls. They justify shitty service by always claiming that the dispatcher is new. Truth of the matter is they have no competition so they dont care about you the customer. read more

Driver had no idea where the address was & racked up the meter. Should of been a 9$ fare, was just under 18$

I work near Fort St John and frequently use Teco Taxi to take me to the airport when I fly home. The ONLY good thing I can say is that they are usually quite prompt. With the exception of one time, all of the drivers have tried taking the long route to the airport. (From the same location to the airport fares have varied by as much as $10) the last time I took a cab the driver was doing 40 km in an 80 km speed limit! The taxis are all old and dirty.
