Bottom line, this is a great restaurant and you would be lucky to get a table here. For being a Americanized Chinese food restaurant, our experience was very delightful. The service was super friendly, very attentive, and very welcoming, and definitely made us feel Welcome. The food was very good, we had the chow mein, fried rice, the general south chicken, and the wonton soup which are all stereo typical Chinese food items that any restaurant in that field should hit on the Mark. This place did just that and went above and beyond. I have to give special shout out to General Sal chicken, because even though I'm not a fan,I really liked it because it was very lightly breaded very well seasoned and a lot of chicken was inside the pieces. On our way from Vancouver to Mission Hill Winery, we needed to stop to have lunch. Saw this Chinese restaurant on Yelp and decided to try it out. This place is surprisingly GOOD. We tried yang chow fried rice, and one veggie with beef In conclusion: - Excellent service!! But I was quite pleasantly surprised by Golden Chopsticks take-out ! Food tasted fresh, crisp, not overly sweet, and you can distinguish all the different flavors. Much, much better than the rest ! Food was just plain BAD and no sauce.Phoned in was told that the sauce was put in and the chef went into great detail on what the container looked like ??? I explained how poor the food was and that it would not be eaten and asked for a credit for the next order. She chose the 1 star reviews over the politely asked for credit , I was astonished ! For a fun, casual experience I love this place. The service is friendly and fast, the food tastes great and there is always enough for me to take home for another meal or two. While the food from this establishment is always great, I have never been happy with their service. The delivery driver I've had both times is terrible and the woman that answers the phone is incredibly rude. I was significantly overcharged for my delivery and received nothing but excuses and arguments when I called to discuss the situation with the restaurant. Despite the service, the food is still amazing so I will be going back - but ordering in person and taking it home myself. read more

I have been going to Golden Chopsticks for years. This weekend I ordered take out and when I got home and tried to eat it, the almond chicken was hard and stringy and I couldn't bite into it. I phoned the restaurant and spoke to the owner/chef. To my surprise, instead of apologizing and offering to replace, she argued with me, even going so far as to tell me to cut the chicken into small pieces so I could eat it. I was so angry, I packaged up the food and returned it to the restaurant. I spoke with the same owner/chef and she continued to argue, even when I showed her the hard inedible chicken. She rifled through and found a piece in the middle that was softer and told me I could have eaten that piece. At no time did she ever say she was sorry. I asked for my money back, which she gave me, and I left the restaurant amazed not only at the lack of empathy but the failure to try and satisfy a long time customer. read more
