The exam and prescription appear to be okay BUT the issue starts when you are lead like sheep to the frame showroom after your appointment with the doctor. Sat down with the salesperson and found out that the cheapest glasses I could get for my prescription and lens requirements was $477. All of their frames are at least $199. Went to Sam's Club and was able to get 2 pairs of glasses with the same lenses for $344. There are several online alternatives which offer much better prices than NEA. Do some research and shop around before you buy anything here.

His careful attention to my problem has gone above and beyond what you might expect with doctors these days. I have advanced glaucoma, and he makes sure with every visit that I am thoroughly checked. As someone who's last eye exam was more than a decade ago and has never needed any type of glasses…read moreor vision correction, the appointment was quick, efficient, and the staff was friendly. Post appointment, after having my eyes dilated, I was told that I needed some glasses and that the Optometrist would hand my prescription over to the eyeglasses team for processing. Being new to needing glasses, I had no idea I could take my prescription elsewhere. (Sorta shady) Also, with no assistance or guidance, I picked out frames while my eyes were still dilated. Took them to the counter and glasses were paid for and order. I was told that the glasses would be in after 5-7 days and it was double that. During the mean time, there was no communication letting me know the timeline for the glasses would change. My wife had to call multiple times to check. I'll probably cancel my follow-up and go elsewhere.
