Dr. DuPont is clearly very smart and adept at making quick diagnoses... but not so quick that you wonder if he really even looked at your feet. Before going g to Dr DuPont, I saw another podiatrist here in Sonoma to treat Achilles tendonitis. Eight months later I could barely walk at all - it kept getting worse. I was a patient for more than a year and things were going well. One time I went in to have my toenail fungus treated and asked him to look at the bottom of my foot as I was having pain. He rather rudely said that was not what i was there for and I would have to schedule another appointment. So I scheduled another appointment for that and an ingrown toenail. Went back again and he told me I was only there for the ingrown toenail and I needed to come back. Needless to say I threw a bit of a fit so he looked at it briefly and said I had arthritis. Went to Dr. Schumaker instead and he said I bet it is Mortons Neuroma. Did a quick ultra sound and that is what it was. read more

Dr. DuPont made the best orthotics I've ever had. I've had two different podiatrists make orthotics for me but they were never quite right. Dr. DuPont's were so great, I bought a 2nd pair. Recently I had to have another visit as the arthritis in my "good" ankle flared up. He is very knowledgeable and I feel very fortunate to have found him as I now have 2 bad ankles. read more

He recommended a minor surgery called an Austin-bunionectomy, that I would "walk out of the surgery room" and that it was "no big deal". All incorrect. He blamed me for my longer than quoted recovery, saying that I was "babying my foot too much" and just needed to take more pain medication. My PT was shocked at what the doctor had said in terms of aftercare, stating this is a major surgery that takes 6-9 months to heal. I am 6 months out & still have issues.Plus, his office said I would only have to pay my $500 deductible- Day of surgery I was required to pay an additional $600 for the pin in my foot, then got an another $400 bill weeks later for unknown reasons. The whole thing has been a nightmare - I would not have done it knowing what I know now. I trusted him because he is a doctor and appeared so confident about this surgery being so minor, but I should have done more research outside of what he said. I see he responds to negative reviews and doesn't take any accountability. read more

I had been suffering from a painful imbedded toenail for nearly ten months. I made an appointment with Dr. Brett Dupont at Golden Gate Foot and Ankle in Sonoma. I was escorted into the exam room right away, and did not have to wait two minutes before Dr. Dupont came in. He talked to me for at least ten minutes before the exam began. He is very personable and easy to relate to. After the exam he explained to me the problem, and told me in detail how he would be able to correct the issue and prevent it from happening again. The worst part of it was the injection for numbing the toe. I was expecting it to be much worse than what it was. It hardly hurt at all. And then when he actually performed the procedure, I didn't feel a thing. If I had known that this procedure would be as painless as it was, I would have gone into see Dr. Dupont months ago. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Dupont for anyone seeking relief from foot pain. His care is superb. read more

I went here on a referral from my medical group. My first visit there, Dr. Banerjee probably talked to me for a total of 3 minutes and told me to get an x-ray and return. I did as I was instructed and they were "surprised I was back so soon". I believe that is what tou told me to do...., made appt for the next day, saw the Dr. Banergee for maybe 5 minutes. He never asked me about myself, tried to find out my needs, etc. He asked me " when would you like to have this done next year??" Should of been my red flag. Talked to office staff and was informed that they had openings for surgery on this day at a certain time or the following week. I told them ASAP. If you couldn't do this before end of the year, you should have told me the first time we met. Was given the run around and was told his partner could do it at a hospital that wasn't in my network, etc. BOTTOM LINE, THIS PRACTICE IS A SHIT SHOW. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more
