Extremely disappointed. Referred a very close friend to him and he blew it. The lack of care and respect is baffling. This is not a way to treat a patient or anybody for that matter, I'm sorry to say. My friend is still in pain despite 3 separate appointments that did nothing to help. The last appointment, the doctor didn't even show. He had a strange doctor covering for him without letting the patient know??? Wrong. Very wrong. I would give ZERO if I could as this has been very upsetting. Retired and the cost of an orthotic is not insignificant. I had not changed orthotics and due to a callus on the bottom of my foot I went to this practice. He was not there and the substitute did not fully explain anything about the pad on my foot nor why he was not there (surgery). The orthotic is PAINFUL and does not fit in even WIDE shoes. Refuses to meet with me and wants me continue to try it when I am in pain and have do deal with balance and not falling with osteoporosis . He knew I was leaving the country for months and will not be able to follow up I have been wearing orthotics since i was 12 and NEVER had more than awkward adjustment for a day It did not fit in his office I went home to try with older shoes. All my shoes are already wide and there is no room in the toe box. Orthotics do not neeed weeks to be worn properly. He screwed up and takes no accountability. I wish I had read Yelp first and thank goodness never asked for anything surgical . read more

Dr. Redo was awesome. I am 5 weeks post op right now for bunions in my left foot. Dr. Redko was so patient and kind in answering my million questions before the procedure. I was very anxious but he made this whole process smooth and I'm really glad I got it done with him. The foot looks great it's like the bunions were never there. I walked right out of the operating room too! I was supposed to have this surgery done elsewhere but it got delayed because of covid. I'm glad it did because I found out that Dr. Redko does this procedure with the minimal incision technique. The minimal incision technique made it so that I don't have to have big ugly scars on my foot. I am glad I found a great podiatrist! Looking forward to getting the other foot done with him. Visiting my friend sean in California a couple of months ago I aggravated a chronic injury. My navicular bone ,Terrible ! My friend recommend Dr. Pete He knew exactly what to do after a quick exam he made small adjustment on a custom brace on my foot and ankle. Magic!! It took a few days to kick in I'm almost pain free . I was able to enjoy The little time I had there with basically no pain .Thank you doctor Pete. read more

My wife had surgery on her foot recently by Dr. Redko. He did a great job. Her foot has been healing very well, and he is very thorough and professional and has a good attitude, with his patients, which makes the visits very enjoyable. Dr. Redko was my doctor for 7 years. I only stopped going to him when my insurance changed. I saw him for a very serious case of plantar fasciitis in right foot. He diagnosed it properly, had me do x-rays (convenient as they have x ray machine in office) and an MRI before any decisions were made. Finally, after a year of prescribed physical therapy and one round platelet injections, I healed. Dr. Redko provided me with all possible well-informed options before I made any decision. Run on your damaged foot before going to this Dr. Redko operated on my foot and I had to go to the ER twice with infections. He doesn't bandage properly and God forbid you let him try and straighten any crooked toes. Redko put a 3" pin in my pinky toe- which stuck out leaving it vulnerable to anything banging into the foot and thus driving the pin further into my foot. My feet (bunion operation) are now even wider than pre-op. Terrible doctor. To add insult to injury, I was in the area at a store wearing my post op boot and a woman randomly asked me who my doctor was. I replied Redko and she recoiled, her niece had lost her toe under Redko's care. Disaster. read more

Dr Redko performed surgeries on both of my feet. I suffered from severe bunions, to a point that I could not find well fitting shoes. Each foot was repaired separatelly. This was extensive surgery, with multiple toes straightened and multiple screws used. The outcome has been good, I am pain free and able to wear regular shoes. I found Dr. Redko professional, his staff curteous and efficient. The operations were performed at his surgery center. I recommend him to whoever has a complex foot problem. read more

I will not be going back to this office. I have been to other podiatrists in the past and only went here a few months back because I was in a pinch and couldn't get in sooner with my regular one. All this guy wants to do is push surgery and orthotics. I have orthotics already which work fine for me. I went back to my regular podiatrist today he said no way did I need surgery. Cortisone injection and a little PT should do the trick. Glad I followed my gut and didn't keep going there. As much as the drive on the 101 sucks it is worth it to avoid this doc. read more

Many YELP reviewers either love or hate a doctor because of his/her staff; that's not a thoughtful standard, though it is understandable. Happily, Peter Redko wins on any standard. I'd ripped a toe nail mostly off, and he explained the alternatives and his recommendation, which he then carried out as well as it can be carried out. Most impressive, when I had subsequent questions, he replied very quickly by email, and when I didn't like how it looked, I sent him a picture and again he replied quickly and helpfully. If you need help with foot/ankle issues in Sonoma or Petaluma, he's your guy. P.S. His staff folks are all great and friendly as well. read more

ZERO Stars!!! I wish I could post a picture of my foot today, two years plus after the last of five operations, two of them corrective secondary operations to the first. I did not seek legal remedies because of the antiquated max $ recovery enjoyed by Redko's liability policy, even went back and discussed my feet recently, he said he would get back to me, have not heard from him. Now i have all these metal splints in my toes, which makes correcting probably impossible. So if you want lots of operations, big toe to point upward in the air, put a band aid on every day to pull up your 2nd toe so you are not wearing out the end, 3rd and 4th toe laying over on their sides, and little toe pointed out and up, scars and darkened area around area where operated, this is the place to go. And this is only my left foot, picture available for your review)))))) read more

Bad experience with this guy. I went in with a sore toe and he treated me for athlete's foot which I knew was not the problem. As I was walking out he handed me the ointment and spray he had used. Soon after I got a bill for $70 just for the athlete's foot meds. I immediately cancelled my upcoming appt and went saw a competitior who correctly diagnosed my problem within minutes. read more

Update to my previous review by Dr. Redko's office and billing practices. After not receiving a credit to my credit card after my insurance made payment to his office, I called and spoke with Margaret. Her excuse was they didn't have my credit card number. Interestingly, they had it when they charged me. I gave it again and was told the credit would go through that day. 10 days later, I had to call again, at which time, it finally went through. And... As for his billing practices being commonplace? I think not. I've never ever encountered it before and I'm not a rare visitor of doctors' offices, particularly specialists. read more

Beware. Dr. Redko is overconfident of what he can do to fix a problem. He performed surgery on me a few years ago for a bunion and neuroma and I have had chronic foot pain ever since. Please do get a 2nd opinion before allowing him to perform surgery. Better yet, see an ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON who specializes in FEET. read more

I had an injury to a toe and because of diabetic neuropathy and terrible circulation, I was going to the wound care nurse at Sonoma Valley Hospital three times a week for care. Dr. Redko advised me to stop going to the wound care nurse and instead to come and see him twice a week. I had recently had chemotherapy and was not thinking very clearly, so I followed his instructions without question. He did little more than change the bandaid on my toe each visit. My sister became concerned about a dime-sized black spot on the bottom of my foot and insisted on coming with me to my next visit. When Dr Redko completed that visit without commenting on the spot (though he was sitting facing the bottom of my foot!) my sis said "wait a minute, can you tell us what that black spot is?" He finally noticed it, blanched, and referred me to a vascular surgeon. I had gangrene, and ended up having to have half my foot amputated (by a different podiatrist). Given my bad circulation, this might have happened even if I had been going to the wound care nurse regularly... But i am sure she would have noticed the problem sooner, just as my sister did. A podiatrist should notice gangrene on a diabetic's foot! Would advise staying away from Dr. Redko. read more
