I love how the grapes are layed out on the table. We get pastries from Star Bakery, and tea is great at Chafolio. We also like the dumplings at the dumpling stall. The market is also pretty clean, with plenty of walking space. Not overaly crowded (atlest as we have seen) compared to some I have been to. There are plenty other stalls here, please check it out if you are in the area.

There was a nice variety of food, vegetables, meats,and other local makers. I think that the weather had a affect on the vibe of the market. It was really quiet and subdued. It was also only 50 degrees out. Most of the vendors were bundled up trying to stay warm. So not a lot of communication or interaction. I don't blame them as it was pretty cold. But what it lacks in space or having a seemingly small area, it makes up for in density. Walking through once I got in, I was pleasantly surprised with just how much beautiful produce was everywhere. There's also a section for prepared foods and products. There's also some live music. This place is a truly fun place to visit. I was here with fam and we were picking up ingredients to use all in the dinner that evening. We ended up getting lamb chops, eggplant for baba ganoush, some potatoes, and some ingredients for a light salad. Luckily, I had family to help because I'm not the best at being able to cook and use all the ingredients that I pick up from the market that day and the dinner was really delicious. I also picked up some tamales, which were really amazing when I had them for next week (I froze them). For an early day snack we also picked up some food from the yakitori stand, which is run by a chef who actually has a restaurant at the city center. All in all, just really good selection, delicious food, great vendors, and just a general great time with great vibes

They even had a crossing guard to make sure no one got hit by cars. There were so many vendors at this one. From fruits and vegetables to food trucks and so much more. The produce here was very fresh and so much of it. The people were so nice to. The prices were from great to Bay area prices. So a little of both. They divided the stalls in a little order so it made sense. It was easy to shop there. A lot of dog friendly places to. It's a great one to go to if you can.

I wasn't able to make it to my usual Saturday market so I went to Alamo's on Sunday. Here's what I liked about it: - Ample parking - Not crowded - Solid vendors, some I recognize, some small-timers - One of the veggie vendors has everything in packages so I can just throw it into the fridge when I get home (I know, how privileged/lazy am I) Here's what I didn't like: - Obviously, it is significantly smaller than SR, Campbell, Oakland, etc. - The choices for ready-to-eat/food vendors are very slim and I am uncertain but the one time I went, the prices for the one food vendor seemed signifcantly higher than normal Overall, it ain't a bad farmer's market. Ambiance? Ambiance was what you'd expect from Alamo. A little sleepy, a little slow, and friendly enough. I'd go again but only if I didn't make it to some of the nearby weekly markets. 3.5 rounded to 4/5 is about right!

Next time I'll be there when they open. There were still a good amount of vendors and music out at that time. But a lot of them were closing up and had all the samples gone. I got the juiciest Cara Cara oranges, fresh flowers, and a crotchet kit for my daughter from Saltwater Books & Gifts. The walking space is a little narrow and it was annoying (on my part) to drag my wagon through the aisle. So if you plan on bringing that, or a stroller, just be prepared. I truly can't wait to go back.

Even in January I found some really fresh fruits and vegetables, and I thought the prices were comparable to supermarket prices but way fresher. This is a good option if you want a low-key version of the San Ramon market.

Next time or eventually I might get some fruit or veggies if it catches my eye and the prices seem to be decent overall but since there's no competition, I'll admit to think their prices can be a tad high here or there. As for the shawarma and filipino stall, the prices for their meals was pretty good when compared to other food stalls in general. The girls at the stall were very friendly and the food itself was very good overall. The bread stall was pretty good too, I did enjoy their loaf of jalapeño cheese loaf a lot, forgot to mention they sliced it for me and most of their baked goods looked very appetizing and delicious albeit alittle expensive. Overall, being a tad off the beaten path and in a somewhat busy hospital parking lot/main entrance, the open air market is a very nice place to stop by on a Tuesday morning and to walk around and stretch your legs if you want to do something that's a tad different.

Bought a flat of strawberries for $20 only to find that underneath the nice-looking visible layer were a number of very moldy ones. Had to throw away 2 of the 6 containers as well. If this isn't intentional as a way to get paid for inedible fruit, then they aren't getting the message that their handling methods are causing a major problem with the lower layer of berries.
