    Oranges

I LOVE Windmill Farms. We drive to WF from Orinda because we like it so much. There are always several fruits or vegetables on special. Right now it is naval oranges and they are SO good! Really fresh, super sweet and way cheaper than the farmers market (but still locally sourced and fresh). Those are .57 cents a pound. And the golden nugget peelable oranges are 1.47 a pound. At the farmers market the exact same orange, which is currently in season, is 4 dollars a pound. I always buy the stuff on sale (this time it was organic celery - 1.47 each buy one get one free) When you are flexible on what to cook, if you buy what's on sale and what is in season you will eat so well for so cheap. This is how you stay healthy. I wish every city had a market as well-run as this one. My only regret is I didn't read the reviews before I started going several years ago because I finally did read them and found a few products I will have to try next time! Portuguese sweet bread? Yes please!

We were in the area and decided to pick up some fresh produce. A solid place to pick up fresh and in-season produce. You can find "some" good bargains here.

In autumn, I love this market even more than at any other time of year. The best pumpkin patch in the area, with adorable animals in the petting zoo, including a very curious black sheep. Everything else is as nice as always. I'm also glad to note that in recent months, vegetable prices here haven't been rising as sharply or as quickly as in other places. The people working at the market are very friendly and have helped me load my groceries into the car more than once.

I popped in for the first time this past weekend and I had no idea this hidden gem was here! They had super good deals on produce - 10 mini avocados for $1 A freezer full of pies, ice cream, and a back cooler section with lots of fun local cheese. They also had a whole wall of dried fruits, nuts, and I recommend trying the garlic chips if you haven't yet! It was a little busy but that would be expected on the weekend. Checkout was fast too, they take card without an extra fee if you spend over $10

    The perfect pumpkin.

Another October... another pilgrimage to Windmill Farms for a pumpkin haul! While the idea of strolling a pumpkin patch in 96°F temps was not putting me in the Halloween spirit, I fortunately discovered that the hot weather had seemingly scared away other shoppers, so I practically had the entire parking lot and pumpkin patch to myself. Windmill Farms once again had the best variety and quality I've seen in the East Bay, so while I initially came for ONE pumpkin, I could not resist filling my shopping cart. Of course I found another beautiful Pink Porcelain pumpkin, but I couldn't resist also stocking up on pumpkins that will be good eating into the new year: kabocha, sugar pumpkins, Japanese Black Futsu, and delicata squash. And because Windmill is also one of the best farm stands around, I grabbed all my fave root veggies, including the hard to find Japanese yams. Quite the haul, yet still didn't break the bank! And as always, the folks at Windmill are friendly and helpful. Thanks, Windmill, for kicking off another holiday seasonal veggies shopping spree!

Large selection of produce. Great prices. Also has a regurgitated area. Grapes were large, sweet and fresh. The produce was large and didn't have bruises on it. Just a great place to buy well priced fruit and veggies!

Nice local family produce market that has withstood the test of time. Produce is pretty reasonable & fresh. They also offer a wide selection of crackers, chips, pies & ice creams. They have a small parking lot & is across from In n'Out Burgers.

This is a great farmers market! Clean, outside vented with covered space. Excellent quality produce, veggies....& a few store staples. Also regularly stocks pies....fresh & frozen. GREAT...delicious treats always found here. Also, great reasonable pricing. You can get enough veggies for the wk...around $20-$25. Employees there unobtrusive, but everything regularly well stocked and clean. A treat to stop here... Close to freeway, but worth the diversion. They also do Christmas trees during Dec and other side sells for other holidays. Great business... Thank you, Sharine

Small place, but great selection of pumpkins at reasonable prices. Only one or two other small families there on a weekday morning. Easy parking and good signage promoting mask wearing. Hand wash station and a huge bottle of hand sanitizer was available. They have a few small animals like a goat, duck, and chickens. You can buy a small bag of feed at the register for $1. They had a mini maze, but we didn't check it out. This is the perfect size place for a young toddler! There is no admission fee, no long walk to the car. Perfect for a quick visit just to grab some pumpkins and take a few pictures. We bought a small striped pumpkin for $1.50 and a larger pumpkin for carving for $7. The produce selection was a lot larger than expected. Most of it was reasonably priced and looked good. They didn't have much organic produce. Would like to come back without the toddler to check this out more!

Local outdoor daily farmers market. Depends on the day what deals you can find here. Today they had local grapes that were beautiful and only $1.49 per pound. Usually potatoes and onions are very reasonable priced.

(Good problem to have). Family owned and operated, In the parking lot next to Burlington coat factory and where the old Toys R Us used to be just off of Dublin Blvd. We were greeted immediately by Jerry and Levi (grandfather and grandson?) who were so nice and attentive but no pushy salesman vibe at all. We had such a great experience we would recommend everyone in the Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore area to come check them out for their Christmas tree needs. They have tree stands, tree care solution, I think wreaths too etc. very well lit tree lot. Levi gave our tree some TLC with a fresh cut, carefully hauled it to our van and secured it very well, ensuring it was to our liking as we would be traveling on the highway back to home. But because I needed something to do in the area before my first Yelp Elite Experience nearby, I found this pumpkin patch! First off, there's a LOT for your kids to do and we just paid for the Fun Zone package which was like $24ish? It didn't include the gem mining which was honestly the only thing my kid really liked after I had to pay another $5 for it. The staff was super friendly though, but clearly for a weekday, they're not going to be fully staffed so the snack shack wasn't staffed. To caveat: my kid isn't a fan of bounce houses but I knew he would maybe enjoy the corn pit, the farm animals, the arcade and the pedal cars but 1) the corn pit was smaller than expected and was full of corn weevils (which ChatGPT helped me identify are harmless beetles but still gross), 2) there were only two goats and we didn't have coins to dispense the goat food but they were cute and bleated at us constantly after I managed to feed them some goat food off the floor (sorry!), 3) the arcade was "too loud" for my kid, 4) and the pedal cars wouldn't work. Womp womp. He did enjoy the gem mining and the Tetris Tumbler game and he did enjoy the corn pit until we discovered all the bugs. I would've given this 3 stars had the staff not been so kind and friendly and even gifted us a free ginormous pumpkin?!?!

The service was horrible like one of the reviews sad it's not the same group and the people was not friendly nor helpful. The prices were crazy this year but I still end up getting one paid $278 got it flocked. They told me two days to pick it up, end up being on thanksgiving drive there and the tree wasn't evenly flocked, half of it was heavily dome while spot and the other half barely touched. So I had them fix it and go back a day later to get it. End up being a two hour drive to get my tree. When I picked it up two set of people asked me if I was being helped yet when I told them i was picking up my tree the walked off and end up not helping me. I went searching for someone else he end up calling the two same two guys to help me with the tree. Got It bagged and put on top of my car. The strings were so loose the tree was easily moving. So I went back and asked the same guy that got the two guys too tie it down. Was a lot better but didn't last 5 mins the tree was hanging off my car, I had to pull over and stick the tree in my car to get it home. FYI my tree was 7 1/2 feet smh they are horrible service for the expensives ass prices they are charging now.
