This place has not only the worst customer service rushing my wife out when she picked up the food but, failed to exchange or assist with what what the customer originally wanted. Great spot, the cuisine's always quality, fresh, and promptly served. My go-to is the shrimp fried rice, and man, is it divine. The main dishes they serve are also worth a shot, the Twinkle Walnut Shrimp provides a flavor so rich and filling; the same can be said for the rest of the Chef's Specials. Went there about a week ago and ordered kung pao shrimp with no water chestnuts, no peanuts to go. Of course I get him and there are peanuts in my food. Due to a peanut allergy to them, I couldn't even pick them out and eat it in fear that I might miss one and suffer consequences. I called them immediately and explained the wrong order, they tried to offer me 30percent off my next order. But why should I take a loss when they got my order wrong? Yelpers definitely let us down with this one. The only thing we were not too disappointed about was the service. We had a young man taking care of us last night who was very polite and tried his best to do right by us. We ordered the wonton soup (SALTY and fishy tasting) egg rolls (SALTY and greasier than most egg rolls) kung pao chicken (SALTY, starchy, gluey fungus like consistency)and chicken fried rice (SALTY times 50). If you LOVE salt and want to walk out of there feeling like a bloated mess, I would highly recommend this place. I for one love salt and can eat a whole bag of chips or bottomless french fries at any given time, but this place takes salt to a whole new level that no human being should ever encounter. I'm pretty sure my tongue has wilted off due to the level of sodium and probably MSG that they use here. Our server could tell we did not enjoy our food one bit, considering he kept having to refill our water because of the desert like dehydration we were experiencing because of the SALT. That and the fact that our food was minimally touched. We gave it a good effort by eating more than a few bites of each item, but my partner and I felt like our blood pressure was going up as we sat there and with each passing bite that we were getting closer to having a coronary, blocking an artery or developing multiple kidney stones. Props to our server for asking the manager if he could comp some of our food (without us asking him to do so, mind you) but a big booooooooooo to the manager for refusing to do so. We had every intention of paying for this sodium rich meal we were served but it is always a nice gesture and the RIGHT thing to do as a business owner to want to make your customers happy. Even if she would have taken just one item off of our bill I would at least have known that she cared about our feedback and it would have shown a good faith effort on her part. Thanks Yelp for alerting us to this place. We were in Hemet for one day and needed a good place for a celebratory dinner with family. We called ahead and they had a table ready for us right away and took care of us the entire night. The food was really good. It may not be the most amazing meal ever, but solid, delicious Chinese food. We ordered wontons, fried rice, cashew nut chicken, kung pao chicken, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and snowpeas. All were great - and I'm eating the leftovers right now! Interior is classy and not overdone like some tacky places. Came in for some Dinner the other night with the kids and Wife. Yelpers let us down on this one. I understand this may be "cuisine" by Hemet standards, but I've had Chinese take-out from a strip-mall with better quality. The place isn't horrible, but it surely isn't gourmet by any means. Its take-out quality in a sit-down atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, the atmosphere is inviting and even a bit soothing. Like an escape from what's just outside or Hemet in general. That's always a plus. You get Crispy Noodles w/ Sweet-and-Sour sauce to start. Standard. Me personally would like some Hot Mustard to go with it. Ordered some Edamame and Eggrolls as an appetizer. The Edamame was good, seasoned OK. Big portion on a big plate. But I would like some sort of sauce to dip it in. I made my own concoction out of Soy Sauce and the Hot Mustard that came with the Eggrolls. The Eggrolls were bland and flavorless. Even the sauce and Mustard couldn't save them. I ordered the Sesame Chicken special, and my Wife ordered the Orange Peel Chicken. I would critique them separately, but they are THE SAME DISH! One with Sesame seeds on it, the other with some cooked orangepeels and hot peppers thrown on it. They tasted OK, but I expected more from this place. Especially with the price. At least they came with a few pieces of Broccoli. (sarcasm) My special came with salad and Egg Drop Soup. The salad was just a few leaves of iceberg lettuce w/ crispy noodles and a vinaigrette that was vinairegrettable. It just rendered the crispy noodles into soggy noodles. Not that I wanted them there in the first place. The Egg Drop Soup was rather tasty, as I have yet so find a place that could botch this item up. My ordered extra soup for my kids, its their favorite soup. My Daughter likes it as is, my Son likes to add rice and , if possible, broccoli to his soup. Not bad. My iced tea was refreshing and tasty. The Lemon water was as well. Our waitress was friendly enough, and at the end of the meal, presented us with hot wet napkins to wipe ourselves off with. The origami oranges were a nice touch. The bathrooms were immaculate. Doubt I'll be coming back. Being our first visit, we stuck with our staples (Sweet & Sour Chicken and Chicken with Vegetables) as to be able to better compare their food to the other Chinese restaurants we frequent. Simply put, our main dishes were prepared perfectly. In addition, our soup was thick and warm and our fried rice was fresh and seasoned well. Our egg rolls and paper wrapped chicken were a bit too greasy for our liking, but still tasty. A bowl of fried wonton strips with sauce was complimentary upon sitting down. Service: We were greeted immediately and seated within one minute of our arrival. The service was top-notch. What impressed us most was that all the servers smiled and were very attentive. They were dressed nicely and generally cared about our experience. My water glass never ran dry and we were never left waiting for the next course or the final bill. Decor: The decor was tasteful and appropriate for a casual Chinese restaurant. I especially liked the gentle piano music (not live) and beige color pallet. The restaurant was clean and staffed well-enough to keep it clean while full of customers. Yay for yummy Chinese food! Called in to place an order for Delivery (yes!) and ordered Teriyaki Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, Pork Fried Rice (awesome) and Broccoli & Beef. They are kind of hard to understand over the phone and there was a little mix-up with our credit card but other than that everything was great! They came pretty fast and even though it wasn't as hot as I would have liked it to be, it was still good. My fave was the Pork Fried Rice. So tasty! They kinda skimped out on the Chicken Lo Mein with like 3 pieces of Chicken but we had the Teriyaki Chicken that made up for it. Prices are pretty average for a Chinese place. This place just opened, I actually forgot about it and was headed to the Taco Shop, which is next door, when I smelt something even more delicious. I thought to myself, 'I wonder if they Have Chicken Curry,' they sure did; it is one of my favorite dishes. Having taken it home too, the way they had packed the food in tinfoil kept it warm. I have to say I was a little hesitant at first because the Chicken Curry was not the normal way it looked like at Lemon Grass, the other place I get this, but after eating it I could not stopped and finished the whole dish. It was very delicious and the portion was a good size as well. I really Loved it. The Service was great, even though I was just a walk in the Hostess was very nice and courteous, and she took me in to make sure I was comfortable and had a seat while I waited. She even went over the menu with me and explained what a few things were. I had my heart set on chicken Curry though, and that was what I got. She even offered me a glass of Water while I was waiting, which I though was very polite because I was a take out order. The food came fast and I had to wait for no more than ten minutes. We keep checking out Chinese restaurants in our general area and came upon Golden Ginger with very good Yelp reviews. I agree, but holding back on a fifth star until we verify consistency. Stopped by on a Saturday, mid-afternoon: between lunch and dinner. There was a small, but steady flow of customers. We shared a "B" combo lunch: Wor Won Ton Soup, fried shrimp, egg roll, paper-wrapped chicken, fried rice, Orange Peel Chicken & Shrimp With Szechwan Garlic Sauce. Everything was very good, only complaint is that the chicken wrapped in foil is just too much trouble to get out, though the taste was excellent. The service was quick and efficient, though not overly friendly - sort of what we expect in a family-run Chinese restaurant. Major complaint: The Yelp listing indicates a full bar - this is not correct - they only serve beer and wine... oh well. Love Golden Ginger!! The servers are super sweet and friendly, and service is very fast and they are always on it! I love the sauces they use, apparently made in house by the owner! Compliments to the chefs (and owner) for sure! Their Mongolian beef is to die for, a must try! I have yet to try their delivery service, but they're just 8 minutes away so we drive here. I try to come here once a month. I also like that they offer their lunch specials daily, and not just Mon-Fri like a lot of other places do.
