Very good, portions were large which i appreciated especially given the pricing. Definitely a place to go to if you are looking to buy food in larger portions. I got it to go and the service was so kind, sweet and welcoming, even a refill on my to go drink. I can hardly wait to get home and enjoy! My husband and I are still fairly new to the area so we are still exploring restaurants around here. Today we happened to come upon Golden Ginger and we are so glad we did! What caught my eye was the crispy spicy beef and from there we ended up ordering the walnut shrimp, house special lo mein, pork fried rice, chicken wontons, various other appetizers, Kung pao chicken and a Thai tea. They probably thought we were feeding a whole family. The food was AMAZING! My favorite was the walnut shrimp. It was crunchy, the sauce was delicious, we couldn't get enough. Whenever we feel like having a feast, this will now be our spot. To top it off, when my husband went to go pick up the food he said they were really friendly which is always a plus. Most of the restaurants in town are diners, which isn't bad unless you want something different than diner food. Golden Ginger has delicious food, kind wait staff and special little touches that make the meal memorable. Tried for the first time tonight. I was hesitant since I have never spent so much on Chinese food. Tonight my whole family was just so exhausted and to lazy to to even move. So I spent quite a bit more to order delivery that wasn't pizza. I will say this place will definitely be a place I'll splurge on a few times a year if I find myself in this type of mood again (not often). The food was delicious and I ordered way to much food. My family and I went to Golden Ginger tonight for my sister's birthday. It was such a fantastic experience! Walked in and was seated right away. The inside was very clean and comfortable. Our waiter was very quick and polite. We did not have to wait long at all for our food. The quality and portions of the food were impressive. I ordered the Lo Mein noodle dish with pork. It was very filling. My only complaint is that there was not very much pork; however, the noodles were delicious and had a rich flavor. After our meals, our waiter presented my sister with the most adorable little bowl of green tea ice cream for her birthday. She shared it with me. I do not like green tea, but it was good in this ice cream. He also brought our table a plate of fortune cookies with artistically cut orange slices. We have been going to Golden Ginger since we moved here 7 years ago. It's been our "go-to" Chinese restaurant for dine-in. After lockdown prevented us from going for the last 14 months, we finally decided to go last night for dinner now that things have loosened up. Well, things have changed. It was obvious that their priority has changed to pick up and delivery service, as there were a lot of people running around getting deliveries together and stacking the food on tables. We were finally seated after a fairly short wait. We ordered our drinks and food and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally the first food came out. But no utensils. Took a while to get anyone's attention, so my wife finally went over to ask for some. Then we waited. Finally got them. Then waited again. Finally the soup came out. Then we waited. And waited. Then our food came out. But one of the orders was wrong. No offer to fix it. Just a "sorry about that". The food, which we always loved, was bland and tasteless. My advice to Mngmt: If you're going to focus on to-go orders, don't offer dine-in if you don't have enough staff. And what happen to your food? It used to be really good. Tried this tonight and got it delivered. We ordered the house special for two and everything was correct except we got white rice rather than fried rice as it advertises. Overall, the meal was underwhelming. Broccoli beef was okay, Kung pao chicken had no flavor at all (not hot, not spicy, nada), and the egg flower soup tasted like simple chicken broth with corn and eggs. Updated review: I had this establishment rated at a four stars. However, after tonight's rude behavior I have lowered it drastically to a one star. My husband and I wanted to order online, however their family dinner portion of the menu was very confusing at least to us. We decided to call in to get help with the menu and the lady who answered was beyond rude. She was snippy the whole time, did not speak English well and was very unkind. At one point my husband asked, how many entrees come with this family meal. She replied in a very rude almost yelling voice. "Well I don't know how many do you want!" This is how our entire conversation was, we would ask questions she would not answer them and do it in a very rude manor. In the end we decided to hang up and that this lady was definitely not worth our business. 4 star review: I really enjoy this place, this is the only place I go here in Hemet for Chinese food. Mom ordered the Walnut Shrimp, the shrimp were over cooked and the sauce was not the original sauce served. I'm very divided . The food is great but when you order to go during the pandemic food gets soggy. For example I ordered crispy beef , when I get home it's no longer crispy because the styrofoam creates steam and fogs up the food. The noodles aren't good every one makes them different but I go to the cheap please down the street get my noodles there then get my meat here . I just ordered food from here and got the wrong order, when I called rather than fixing it they said to take it up with someone else and hung up on me. This place has not only the worst customer service rushing my wife out when she picked up the food but, failed to exchange or assist with what what the customer originally wanted.
