My "usual" is a facial followed by a pedicure. First visit for a facial, you'll spend some time discussing your skin care routine, any issues &/or problems you have and what outcome you'd like. Services are discussed with you and what is done is your decision (so no hidden add-ons like other places). I've used the same esthetician so she has become familiar with my skin & its changes through the seasons. There is no "hard sell" for purchases here & no "blaming" you for not spending $100's on products they have available. This speaks very highly the Staff understand not everyone that walks in will need any or all their products. (I do use their Hydropeptide cleanser.) Pedicures there are a dream for me: no "razor egg" files (like at Mall & Walmart), just warm foot soak, light acid treatment (I have tough corns on my feet), lotion massaged into feet, ankles & calves, followed by base, 2 coats polish & topcoat for pedicure. Very rarely does polish rub/wear off even after three weeks. I have never had a bad or unpleasant experience at Dermistique's in my many visits. I think if you'll try any of their services, you'll come back: they're not as "cheap" as the quick places (broken out skin &/or pedicures that come off in a week), but I have received many compliments on how great my skin looks. Went the end of last week from out of state for a friend's wedding. The facility and staff were…read morenice, but I was so disappointed with the services!!! Especially for the price! $83 for a mani/pedi!!! My pedi felt great, but she didn't do the best job shaping my nails and one was chipped before I left. The mani is bad, sad face-it was my first one!! The lady who did my gel mani didn't get all of my old polish off, didn't trim my nails down, she didn't even look at my nails as she was filing! I actually picked up the file and fixed the rough edges of a couple that were really bad, but my nails are still all different lengths and shapes. The paint ended up red instead of purple (which it looked on the sample), and she didn't offer to change it when I mentioned the color being weird. I realized later that it didn't even cover my whole nail and the accent dip nail was done incorrectly, so it chipped the same day. I had an updo the following day, looked nice but not worth $60...I can get my hair cut and colored for just a bit more than that back home and an updo would probably cost HALF of that. At least the stylist fixed the chipped nail then for me. Again, nice facility and staff, but very little attention to detail as far as I can tell. And absolutely ridiculous prices for that lack of attention. The group of us who went are all disappointed. I'm already looking to get my fingernails redone and it hasn't even been a week.
