I was repeatedly contacted nearly two weeks before my scheduled appointment to confirm, which felt excessive and unnecessary--especially considering their own policy only requires 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Despite confirming and asking for the calls to stop, the repeated contact continued and became intrusive. I specifically requested--twice--that the dentist call me directly so I could discuss the situation. I never received a call back, yet the confirmation calls from staff continued. That lack of communication and respect for my request was disappointing. In the end, I canceled my appointment within their 48-hour policy and have decided not to return. Patients deserve to feel respected, not pressured or harassed over an appointment that is still weeks away. I hope the office takes a closer look at how they handle patient communication moving forward.

I was a patient for about a month. Six months after I had completed my therapy I received a large…read morebill. When I starting going they said that I was good to go with my insurance. I know that I should have confirmed this but when their office staff said that my PT was covered, I took their word for it. I came to find out that they had not applied for preauthorization; this was THEIR responsibility and the insurance company needed the doctor's referral, initial evaluation, their information (NPI/tax ID numbers). They had never bothered to do so. After I called and spoke with the insurance company, they went back, contacted Back in Motion and did their best to correct the error. But ultimately, I got stuck with a large portion of the huge bill because of THEIR office error. Any PT clinic worth their salt would find out what your PT benefits are and confirm them with you--they'd suggest that you call to verify--but it is their job to initally find them out. Even if they weren't going to, they shouldn't have said that I was "good to go." They should have told me to contact my insurance before beginning therapy. In their defense, I think that they were getting new office staff, but they still should have said that there would be the possibility of insurance or office errors. I would not go back because of all this. I had to pay a lot money which was awful because I don't make a lot. This was frustrating, especially when my insurance would have paid 100%! (As far as staff-Sara and Andy are great!)
