I built a new house, so their termite traps were included. After the first year of ownership, it was up to me to continue services. I decided that I would continue service for termites, but add the home cleaning service for an extra $300. That's $700/year! I paid it. During this time, we had ants upstairs in my daughters room, and there has been no food in there. I had to specifically request to have an ant hill taken care of near my A/C unit because apparently it had been missed during the external inspections; even though it was visibly large. Since the spiders like to make my house their home, after a different service, I had to have them come back out to properly clean all of the spider nests that contained eggs. To top this all off, I had to have them come again to address an ant problem in my office. Listen, If I had been paying for this service, $700 a year, I expected to not have insect issues. Instead, I continuously had to follow up with them about not finishing service as paid for, and upon expiration of my account, I was called and asked to renew. I chose the option to not renew, but services continued anyways. I know it states that services will continue until cancelled in writing, but if I speak to a representative on the phone, who calls me to renew, shouldn't that count as well? Apparently not. So now, I sit with an increased charge for $100, after I've decided that I can plant my own ant baits and spray my own yard. This has been a waste of time, money, and effort. As a military member, I know what it means to get the job done, and get it done right. This was clearly not what I expected, and if I am the one customer that seems to have issue after issue, could that be you to? I've been nothing but nice and supportive, but now, I'd rather spend more money to fight over this latest charge than to give them another dime of my money for services that don't do ANYTHING. It's hard enough to do your due diligence and find pest control, but of the companies I've paid for since arriving in Florida 5 years ago, this one I would not recommend. Many others in my neighborhood have already cancelled, or will not renew. I'm sorry, I cannot recommend HomeTeam Pest Defense. By the way, I was driving home 3 days ago, and saw a worker walking up to another house. He was watching his phone while beginning service. I'm sure that's why my house was not properly cared for, because his cell phone was more important than the work he was being paid for. You may get a good technician, but the one I had is not recommended.
