Well, turns out her skin was having a reaction that made her grow MORE facial hair! She finally stopped going despite them telling her to keep buying more laser. On top of it all.....she didn't even refund my friend for making the hair on her face 10 times worse than it was prior to the treatments. She's had to shave daily for the past 20 years and all because this hack convinced her that the reaction was normal, when really she was having a reaction the dr should've recognized since it's literally a potential side effect of the laser hair removal.

I am beyond thrilled with my results. My procedures included an extended tummy tuck, breast lift with auto-augmentation, and liposuction. Dr. Thorburn's surgical skill is truly exceptional. My incisions are incredibly thin, precise, and already healing beautifully -- a true testament to her meticulous technique and attention to detail. She created natural, feminine results that exceeded my expectations. She gave me the body I always hoped for, and I honestly couldn't be happier. From my very first consultation, I knew she was the right choice. She took the time to truly listen to my goals, thoroughly explained every step of the process, and openly discussed potential risks -- along with exactly how she minimizes them. I felt educated, prepared, and completely confident in her expertise. Her professionalism, warmth, and calm demeanor made me feel supported at every stage. I never once felt rushed or pressured, especially when discussing finances, which was something I experienced at other offices. The day of surgery went smoothly, and her entire team was kind, attentive, and incredibly reassuring. The care I received from start to finish was outstanding. I asked his opinion of what might be best for my face and he suggested a brow lift and a facelift which included my neck. The thought of the brow lift initially scared me so I was reticent and thought perhaps I shouldn't do it. What I loved was that Dr. Lavey did not push me into the brow lift it at all. After another consult I decided to proceed with the brow lift in addition to my facelift and I'm so glad I did. What a huge difference. I was given a prescription for a strong pain medication to use after the procedure if I wanted, but I never needed anything other than over the counter Tylenol. All that worrying was for not because there was no pain with my procedures! It's more of a weird feeling because things are tight and numb. Incredible! Thank you thank you to Dr. Lavey and his staff for making me feel pretty again.

I needed a blepharoplasty for my heavy eyelids and found Dr. Ransom on Yelp listed as an excellent, kind, friendly doctor. The consultation was great, Dr. Ransom listened to exactly what I wanted, assured me that not too much would be removed and was very kind. I felt like I was going to be in good hands. A woman at the office took me into another room, showed me some before and after pictures, (though I'm not sure she made note of which ones I liked), and I asked how long is the recovery time, she said "Oh just a week, you can have your procedure Monday and stitches removed Friday." Great, I took a week off. Monday, the day of procedure, before the procedure, we were in a room and Dr. Ransom was getting things together in a rush. I was surprised he didn't confirm what we talked about or go over what he about to do. So I said, "just a little off eyelids and subtle right?" He just said "right" as he was assembling things. I asked "can you please go over the procedure?" and he did. At the beginning of the procedure, his Assistant placed a slightly adhesive pad on the side of my belly, (to monitor my vitals during the procedure). He injected anesthetic around my right eye, then my left eye, (though I noted that he didn't inject/spend as much time injecting my left eye). The procedure was going well, I felt no pain as he starting on my right eye, (though it was unsettling that Dr. Ransom and his Assistant were having casual conversation while working on my eyes-I know he must have done this procedure hundreds of times before, but still - this is my face). Towards the end, Dr. Ransom spent a good amount of time with the stitches on my right eye, but when he started on my left eye, I really felt pain, said it really hurts and "Ow." I realized he must have run out of anesthetic in his syringe when he got to my left eye and just didn't bother to get another syringe. Instead of stopping to give me more anesthetic, he just kept saying, "we're almost done, we're almost done." After reeling from that, his Assistant proceeded to slowly tear off the adhesive pad on my belly, (which is slightly hairy), and I yelped "Ouch!" I was too caught off guard to tell him to just rip the pad off like a bandaid and the Assistant kept saying "sorry, sorry" as he continued to slowly tear off the pad. After I continued to say "ouch, ouch!", Dr. Ransom said, "Oh your little hairs." So in addition to being in pain, I'm now belittled. Feeling terrible from this, I got dressed, shuffled to the Receptionist and scheduled stitches to removed that Friday. Close to Friday, the Receptionist called me to say my appointment was moved to Monday. I said but I took this week off and have to go back to work Monday. She said the doctor said I would get better results if I waited a couple more days to have the stitches removed. It seemed like a lie because why did they have schedule the appt for Friday originally? Silence from her, implying there is nothing I can do about it. Following the appointment, to minimize scars, I was to have 3 small laser zaps at the ends of each eye, administered by the Assistant. I have deep horizontal creases at the ends of my eyes, (had them for a long time), and I asked the Assistant if there was a procedure to address those. He said maybe some filler can help with the "canyons." I had to laugh at the exaggeration and cruelty of the term. I looked at him when he said it and I honestly believe he wasn't trying to be mean, that really was the word that came to his mind. Although ultimately results of the blepharoplasty were perfect, due to the experiences above, I just can not bring myself to go back to that office. I do believe Dr. Ransom is kind, it just may be another situation of having too many clients lined up back-to-back.

He has a great eye for delivering natural results and is incredibly knowledgeable. His staff is always warm and welcoming, and he has such a calm, attentive bedside manner. He really takes the time to listen and understand your concerns. One of the biggest benefits has been the relief from my headaches. The Botox has significantly reduced my pain and has made a noticeable difference in my day to day life. I didn't realize how much it was affecting me until I finally experienced consistent relief. I tend to downplay my own health issues, so I especially appreciate how thorough and thoughtful he's been. Without ever being pushy, he helped identify things I had brushed off for years, like a deviated septum and valve concerns etc. I had normalized my breathing difficulties, but thanks to his approach, I'm finally taking charge of my health and moving forward with the right specialist care. I was going to make it something I did when I visited my family in Washington State, however, the doctor I tried just kind of looked at me with a shocked look when she read my chart and found out I was in my early 20s and had already had cancer removed. That is not the only troubling thing I have run into since I had cancer. Some of the more religious Christians I have met in my life, have told me that immunity to cancer it simple, just hope one does not get it. If hope were immune, I would not have gotten cancer in the first place. Fortunately, Dr. Camilla McCalmont is a doctor who accepts reality and that while skin cancer may be fought off once it can return. I lived in Albany when I visited Dr. McCalmont and I loved the location of her office. The building had its own parking area, it was conveniently located not too far from the El Cerrito Shopping Plaza, and I did not encounter traffic on the short drive to the office. She and her workers were professional and helpful in setting up the appointment and getting the paperwork figured out. She emphasized the importance of annual check-ups and self exams, urging not being afraid to inspect oneself and help catch potentially cancerous spots early on. Nothing came up of concern on my visit, which was a huge relief. I have since returned to living in Washington State, but was happy with my experience with Dr. Camilla McCalmont and her office.
