Plus, the owner really took his time to make sure that I got what I wanted, and he put a lot of personal touches into it. It was definitely worth every penny. The pre-made bouquets of sunflowers are gorgeous here but do NOT buy roses from Golden Stem! For Valentines Day, I received 4 dozen long stem roses. To say I made the office girls envious is an understatement! They smelled amazing and the colors popped. I received 3 dozen red and 1 dozen baby pink roses. After 24 hours I noticed a few had drooped. I thought 3-4 dead roses out of 48 was a normal number. After 48 hours, 3 dozen had drooped heads and lost petals. 72 hours and they were all dead. I was heartbroken. I called the shop and the woman I talked to could care less. She said it was my fault the flowers died because I didn't take care of them. I love fresh flowers and know how to take care of them! I have received roses from Publix that last over a week but 3 days for 4 dozen long stem roses that had to cost big bucks is ridiculous!! If you must use this florist, stick with their wild flower variety and steer clear of the roses. read more

I searched for a local florist on line near the Johns Creek area because I wanted to surprise my sister at work on her birthday. I ordered the flowers two weeks in advance and I received a call the morning of her birthday confirming that they would be delivered that day. My sister was ecstatically happy and the flowers were even more beautiful in person than they appeared on the website. Fresh, colorful and arranged impeccably. The price was comparable to pricing from national floral chains that I've used in the past; but I prefer to use local, small businesses whenever possible, and this florist did not disappoint! I work at a law firm, so our go to method is to use one of those 1-800 numbers to order flowers. However, being in the bay area, we are accustomed to certain florist shops being better than others. After much debating, I decided to give them a try. I know, on a whim at that! I was very nervous. One of my favorite attorney out of our Atlanta office was making a career change and was leaving the firm. I found out a day before her last day, and had to move fast. Oh, did I mention that I am in California, and they are in GA (obv.), which means they are 3 hours ahead?! GASP SO, I yelped the s*it out of the florists around the area, and called. AND CALLED. AND CALLED... I know, I was uncertain of this place because of the reviews from 2012, but then the 2014 review assured me a bit, so I took a chance and ordered some flowers from them. Because I was so exhausted, I didn't even give them a good description. I told them that I wanted to spend no more than $100 (delivery included), and get it to her ASAP. Needless to say, I got some MAJOR kudos from the attorney from her personal email, thanking me for the lovely flowers. I wish she had sent me a pic of the flowers so I know what they look like, and so I can also share them with you guys, but she did tell me that my floral arrangement was far better looking than what her hubby sent via 1-800. I am guessing that we can't live without the 1-800 companies, sure. HOWEVER, I AM SO GLAD that my attorney got the flowers on time, and it looked gorgeous, and that the hail mary pass that I threw to Golden Stem was a sheer touch down with my attorney. BOOM. Friends of my mothers' ordered flowers for her birthday using one of the global florist networks. Although ordered three days in advance, the flowers arrived the day after the requested date. Additionally, they were neither fresh nor arranged in any way that could be pleasing to anybody. Do not use these florists, any supermarket pre made bouquet would be better. read more

My son sent me flowers for Mothers Day which arrived on the Saturday. By Tuesday all seven roses were limp and dying. A replacement arrangement, not the same, was sent out that evening but by yesterday, Friday, most of the flowers were dying. Flowers from the grocery stores last longer. read more

I could not be happier with my experience here! The shop owners are so kind. I called and needed an arrangement made because there was a sudden death of a friend's mother. Not only was it ready within 24 hours, she did over what I asked for. The shop is so nice it makes you want to stay in and buy more flowers! Upon leaving her husband put the arrangement in my car and put boxes in it so it wouldn't move around! He also told me to make sure to not leave my white roses in the sun long because they turn and I had no idea! In today's busy world I find it harder and harder to get customer service like this, so I wanted to share my experience! I will definitely be coming back to this establishment!! read more

I ordered the Fields of Europe to be sent to my daughter at her work(1-800Flowers) and Golden Stem was the florist. The picture my daughter sent me did NOT resemble the picture. Most of it was greenery and not flowers. I paid for flowers not greenery. I called 1-800Flowers and told them. They apologized and said she would receive another flower arrangement. Some guy showed up and rudely took her flowers away and said the sender had cancelled. I called the 1-800Flowers again and they were shocked someone showed up and took the flowers. Another florist brought my daughter another floral arrangement that was perfect. I hope 1-800Flowers never uses Golden Stem again! read more

I recently used Golden Stem Flowers for my Wedding at Founders Hall in Roswell. When possible I prefer to use locally owned business (They are a mom and pop shop). They did a beautiful job with the ceremony arbor and gazebo swag as well as flower arrangements for the reception. They delivered to the venue early the day of and spent over an hour installing and making sure everything looked right. We received many compliments on how beautiful everything looked from our guests and they look great in the pictures. You can tell that they spent a lot of time on the arrangements and there were so many details to make it special. They are very nice older couple, and I will use them again in the future. read more

I got flowers for my mom recently. I wanted to get her unique flowers and stopped by this shop on my way home from work. They made flowers on the spot quickly and the arrangement was beautiful. They used a lot of tropical flowers with bright colors. My mom loved them and enjoyed them for a while! read more

I received flowers from a family member while I was in the hospital and they did a wonderful job. Very creative.

If I could give them a zero I would. They delivered an arrangement when I was out of town. I was at a function where I could not have my phone so I did not get their text or voice mail until after 6:00. When I called they said they were closed and there was nothing they could do. They told me to get my neighbor to get the arrangement. When I got home I called and told them that while I was able to get in touch with a neighbor to bring it inside no one watered it for 4 days. The owner said it was my fault because I should have called them back sooner even though I had no phone. Ridiculous. I would never use this florist and feel badly as the people that sent it to me paid $64 plus tax and delivery charge for basically a dead arrangement. read more

I wish to give less than zero star for this company. I ordered a birthday flower bouquet for my mother-in-law last week through Flowershopping.com. Golden Stem took my order and delivered the flower. The flower I ordered didn't meet up my expectation compared to the web site photo I saw and I complained to flowershopping.com. That company gave me a discount from my order for 30%. Then, Golden Stem came back to my mother-in-law's house Sat night to take the flower back. I guess there was some dispute on the payment with the middle company but how could they take the birthday flower back. I wish they contacted me as I wish I could stopped them from taking the flower. I find it completely outrageous. This company has no shame. read more
