We hired Epic Construction & Renovations last January for a kitchen remodel. It was originally a…read moresmaller project that turned into a much larger project, not because of epic construction. However, we paid the new estimate over time and the owner of the company ran himself out of money, even though we paid for most of the materials ourselves. His estimate was materials included which routinely wasted. He did not finish paying the electrician nor the plumber, therefore, we had to pay them ourselves. Basically, we paid twice for the service. He had personal issues that caused him to not come to work at our house regularly. (we were very accommodating and even transported him when he needed it.) When he and his crew did come, they were very messy rarely cleaned up after themselves. Many things were used of ours that were ruined. We lost sawhorses and a wheelbarrow. They broke a knob off of our grill because they were careless with their demolition. In the end, he just never showed up again. We had to hire Drywall finishers to come back and fix all of the finishing work that he did We had to hire someone for flooring and tile work. We had to hire a whole new crew to finish the house. We were without a kitchen for eight months. Some of that was due to rain which set us back. However, priority was not given to the fact that we had a kitchen set up in our foyer for that long. There was no urgency to get us back to normal. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. We really wanted to give him a chance because he's a small business, but he really let us down. So very disappointing and extremely costly since we had to pay someone else to finish his work and even correct some of it.
