My son attended GW from Dec 2022 - June 2025. Where to even begin. Choosing this school was by far one of the best parenting choices I ever made. My son had never been watched by anyone but his parents and 2 grandmothers so I didn't take choosing a school lightly. He was so loved, comforted when needed, so well taken care of! This isn't a drop off and kids do whatever they want all day. There is structure, teaching, learning of Jesus, so many activities, art work, etc. Communication is excellent, any issue is resolved in a timely matter and with reassurance. Photos are posted often to see what activities they're doing. "Ms Amy's school" is a true 10/10 and I'm so thankful to them for loving and caring for my son, it truly helped him transition to Kindergarten effortlessly. We will miss them dearly. read more

Our daughter started going to daycare here in February this year. Let me start by saying how impressed I am with Goldenwest preschool. It is always clean and the staff is always friendly. Our daughter wasn't really that vocal when she started and she was actually shy but now she is definitely speaking a lot more and isn't shy. I love that Goldenwest has weekly schedules for them especially during the summer. I would highly recommend Goldenwest to any family looking for a daycare/ school. I love the quality care. When I pick her up she's never crying she's always happy and eager to go to class the next day I think that speaks volumes for itself. My son started at Golden West right before he turned 2 (he is now 4.5 years old) and we couldn't be happier! Warm teachers, amazing outside play area and lots of activities to keep my toddler busy - what more can one ask for? I also appreciate the fact that they feed the kids breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks as it leaves a working parent less things to worry about! Finding a daycare, or "school" as my daughter calls it is tough. I am so glad we found Golden West. I can't recommend this Preschool enough. I was very worried/ anxious about leaving my only child in the hands of someone else that was not my husband or mine and I can say whole heartedly Ms. Amy and Ms. Jackie made that separation/ transition a lot easier. I was not used to leaving my son in the care of someone else but I felt supported and reassured he would be okay. My son cried for a week (so did I) but after that he would look forward to going to school. The staff at this school is incredibly welcoming and I really appreciate them offering pictures throughout the day to make sure I was comfortable with my son being away from me. Since starting school my child is a lot more verbal, a lot more creative and a lot more engaging. Aside from the care and education this school provides I appreciate how clean/organized this establishment is, even if it is a school full of kids. I looked around many MANY schools for my child but I can say 100% I made the bets choice bringing my son to Golden West Preschool. read more

I was at a complete lost when my babysitter gotten sick and they no longer could care for my son. I have a coworker that had her daughter enrolled at Goldenwest Preschool for over a year. I was searching around for different locations and she was the one to recommend me here. So of course for a first time mom doing new stuff with my son I was afraid to leave him alone in a new environment. I was able to set up an appt with Ms. Amy to do the tour and get the run down. This school is so amazing along with the staff there. One of my favorite things about them as a new parent enrolling my son was the app. They keep you in tuned for the day sending videos and pics of him doing schoolwork, activities and playtime. The hours they have for drop off and pickup is really good. I would recommend to all parents that wants a piece of mind while on the care of others. This is the place you would want to enroll your little ones. 10/10 read more

This place is AMAZING! If you are looking for a place where clean ,nurturing and loving , this is the place. I put my 2kids here before they go to Elementry school and I LOVED it. Teachers were so nice and the place was so clean. The place was very organized and serious in cleaning. I have never seen any dust or unorganized part in Golden West. This place is really CLEAN. They are very detail oriented people and I will never forget how they run this business like they mean it. One year, they celebrated Mother's Day with simple goodies like coffee and cake. It was a simple appreciation event, yet something very heart-warming event. And I will never forget how they treated people with their heart , not only to kids , but to their parents as well. I was so much touched. I recently visited this place to say hi since I was passing by the area with my 6 years old son now (he is in kinder) and I was so happy to see the teachers and surprisingly, newly remodeled place. Awesome preschool, the staff actually takes the time to get to know each child. The school itself is not too big and the tuition is reasonable. My husband and I have struggled on a few occasions to make the tuition and the staff worked with me. It was so bad that we had to actually pull him out of the school for a little while and Ms. Sandrine was a dream. She worked with me and I was able to catch up on payments and re-enroll my child once we had caught back up. Golden West is truly a gym. I am grateful for them and intend to enroll my other child once she is old enough. They already know her and have established a bond with her as well. I feel comfortable that my children will be taken care of and safe while they are there. read more

Even though this school doesn't believe in field trips off campus , they still bring the full experience to campus by having pet zoo days , pumpkin patch ect .. my daughter also now has a amazing Manors at home with prayer before breakfast , lunch & dinner read more

My child has been coming here for about a year. Through out the overall year, he has got sick about 5 times and contracted a horrible case of the flu here. Ive read surveys about them and the only thing is that they dont maintain cleanliness per protocol within the school. Another thing is my child has come home in dirty/ wet clothes about 3 times, which has me question why they ask us to bring extra clothes/ underwear...etc. other than the cleanliness....The school is GREAT. The teachers appear clean (no signs of drug use/ good clothes are worn), they are very friendly, nice, and professional at what they do. The head of the school Mrs. Sandrine, is also nice and explains all questions with no hesitation. The school keeps parents updated when there is a case of lice or hands/mouth/feet virus going on. They let us know when a new teacher was hired and even hold fund raisers for people in need in the school. They are located next to a church. On holloween they had a big "Trunk or Treat" event going on which we attended and our kids had so much fun! The price is pleasant compared to others near our home (Norwalk), and they have indoor field trips and many activities for the kids. My child almost has 5 pages of work after every school day that he comes. All in all....Above Average OKAY stars. ;) read more

The school environment is awesome... and at the beginning the staff seem great... but the classroom is so big 22 kids in one class slpit in two group... I feel like the teacher get overwhelmed and become impatient with the kids... my son was unhappy at this school... he stated the teacher yelled at him and pull him by the arms... I feel like if ur child have a lot of energy this school is not for your child... they will mistake ur child energy as having a behavior... they got written up twice by state before I took my son out... one of them was a complaint that they was telling at the kids... so pop up at the school sometime to see how ur child doing my mother popped up to witness a teacher grabbing my son by the arm... read more

My Grandson loves his preschool! He has attended golden west since he was 2, he is now 4 yrs old. ALL of the teachers and staff LOVE the children as if they were they're own. They go above and beyond for the PARENTS and CHILDREN. My Grandson is learning so much and is excelling in all areas. I know my Grandson is SAFE, LOVED, and his needs are met on a daily basis! What can I say about this gem of a school? As a full-time working professional and a single mom, I wanted the best place for my son. I had avoided giving this school a chance until family and friends encouraged me to enroll my son here. I am so grateful I did too... as this school has been around for years and years. My older brother and my older sister both attended Golden West Pre-School and it's neat to be able to send my own son there now too. My 2 1/2 year old son loves it here! He adjusted smoothly, no tears, no outbursts, and no resistance. The staff here are kind, easy to talk to, and feel like family. They treat you as family!! They provide daily updates if you ask questions, they place a boo-boo update in their blinder to keep you informed upon pick up if your child accidentally got hurt (my boy was running in class when he was not supposed to and fell down), they let you know when you're about to run out of supplies (ie. diapers, wipes, clothes), and so forth. They use the "red chair" for time-out time when your child does not follow the rules or misbehaves. In the few weeks that my son has been attending, their teacher has had many sensory activities that include shaving cream play, making and eating ice cream, active songs, story time, water play day outdoors with little kiddie pools and a slide, etc. They provide breakfast, lunch and snacks - but you can still bring your own snacks or meals in case your child is picky and they're okay with that. They provide a 2.5 hour nap time. They are open 6AM-6PM. I can ease off the academic piece a bit because my son knows his ABC's, counts to 30, knows his shapes and colors, etc... so a lot of the education is a review for him which a great... but I appreciate the important piece of socialization that my son receives here which is key for a successful future! They are very diverse with students of all ethnic background... Caucasian, Blacks, Hispanics, Asian, Pacific Islander, etc. Currently my son is doing letter learning by association to objects, expanding his knowledge. They take into account the weather, so there is indoor play when the weather is scorching hot like it has been, which I truly appreciate. The Director Ms. Sandrine Bellairs is awesome and approachable and she has great staff working alongside her. I can go on and on. I highly recommend this place for your child. It is safe, friendly, warm, and affordable (less than most pre-schools for what you receive in the area and surrounding area). What is most valued here is that this school is a ministry to the community and for that I am forever grateful! They reflect the kindness and love of Jesus Christ, and that is the most worthy aspect of this school for me. Thank you Golden West for what you do and for WHO you represent. read more

My son is now 4 and has been attending Golden West for over a year now. In that time we have had him participate in 2 petting zoo days, a kids gift buying session and more parent sponsored jumper days than we can count. All the teachers are patient and very nice. Most importantly they hug and soothe the kids when needed. (if my kid needs a hug, please hug him!) They are also quick to fill me in on my sons activities and general scope of the day; mood, peer to peer contact, student to teacher interaction. Each classroom has multiple teachers so they are exposed to different teaching styles and disciplining methods. My son is by no means a saint and tests his boundaries daily but I know he's in good hands when he comes home and talks about God, sings songs he's learned and proudly shows me his art projects. Don't let the sites pictures fool you. The school is very diverse culturally and they truly care for the students. read more
