One of the only remaining stores in Virginia for papercrafting, this shop with very limited hours in tiny Clifton, Va 20 minutes from Dulles Airport is a rare gem. The owner is a lovely lady who keeps limited hours making it worth your while to schedule an outing here. She offers a number of frankly unprecedented shopper discounts and loyalty perks. The store itself is off the main street and not in a place for walkin patronage. Rather it is a little gem tucked in with seemingly a very loyal clientele. My friend and I made a special trip here and regular customers were stopping in throughout our visit. The store is full of wonderful paper products from all over the world. I purchased papers from Germany, Japan and Hungary to name a few of the lovely, artistic and unusual papers . The shop carries many current and popular brands usually available only on line. The shop also carries many items for altered art projects and paper crafting , metal dies, stamps, inks, and mixed media. There is a small well stocked classroom where classes in various techniques are generally held on alternate Saturdays. OMG!!! If you haven't been to this shop you are missing out! I'm in Winchester Va. and other than the crappy big box stores this is the only "mom and pop" store left close to me. Everyone I met...employees, customers and even the owner were so nice and friendly. If you are a paper craftier you need to check them out. Visited the store after hearing about it on the Washington Post. It is truly a gem! The owner has a strict policy of reservation-only shopping, with a limit of 4 customers in the store at all times. Masks obviously required. The selection of paper stacks, stamps, stickers, notebooks, inks, pens, etc. is completely different than what you would find at Michael's. I even discovered some new brands that I had not heard of before! Ronnie is so friendly and very welcoming. In fact, she has a very generous discount policy AND she will give you a loyalty punch card for next time. Will definitely return to this place and perhaps take a class. read more

My favorite place to go for paper crafting supplies. They have just about everything except Critcut items. Newbies get a reusable bag for their purchases, and each time you return and shop with it, you receive 10% off your total bill. Your most expensive non-sale item is automatically 40% off. Fill up your frequent buyer card (one punch per $5) and receive $20 in supplies. Monthly specials are awesome as well as the 75% off bins. Only open on Wednesdays and a few Saturdays a month. I generally shop online for my scrapbooking goodies but when I have the urge to browse new collections and pick up things in a store, Goldenshill Papercraft is the only scrapbook store in the area I visit. J.S. and Shelly gave a really good review of the prices and deals - the store's prices are fantastic. More than that though, I love the store's selection and the supportive, creative, fun vibe of the place. The selection can't be beat - if you like clean lines or fancier designs, there's always something in the store to fit everyone's needs. The store is also stocked with products that are great for scrappers interested in techniques - she always carries items you'd be hard pressed to find at the big box stores all in one place. As a crafter who has slowly expanded from cards to Project Life and mini travel book, I also love how kind and generous all Ronnie's customers are. When I started learning about stamping, one of the customers spent 20 minutes teaching me about shims and taught me how to get a really nice solid images in the crop area. I'm excited that the store moved to its current location in Clifton -- the location is much closer to my home and the class area is just fantastic. Ronnie's hours have also expanded - I'd check the website for details but generally, the store is now open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10-4 and two Saturdays a month. Lovely store, selection, owner and staff, located in Old Town Clifton. As someone else posted, your most expensive item is 40% off; I bought ten markers and the 40% was applied to all of them. As long as you bring your own bag (Goldenshill or another), an additional 10% is taken off. Ronnie (owner) and her entire staff make everyone feel so welcome; the friendliness is infectious. It's really a remarkable shop and community. The store is extremely well stocked, has easy parking, and neat restaurants nearby. Note the hours and plan accordingly. At this time they're Tuesday through Thursday and alternate Saturdays. For those on a diet, beware: Cupcaked is in the same building. My husband and I took a 30 minute drive the other day just to have lunch (crepes/sandwiches) at the Clifton Cafe and wander a bit. read more

Today was my first time visiting Goldenshill Papercraft, and it was a great experience! The store is located in the owners basement, which threw me off at first. I accidentally knocked on her front door because I missed the signs pointing towards the basement entry (oops!). So when you visit make sure you follow the path to back entrance! The owner, Ronnie, was so sweet. She chatted with my very social three year old for probably ten minutes. The selection was great! There is so much to choose from, and everything is well organized. This month (June) is the anniversary of the shop, so there were tons of discounts going on. I knew about the discounts when I went, but I had no idea I would get them ALL! I thought I would just get the highest one, but she gave me discount upon discount and then took my A.C. Moore coupon! She also had another promotion going on where you get a ticket for a prize drawing for every $10 you spend, plus a frequent buyer card that I got. Even before the discounts her prices are great, better than anything I had seen online! Great experience and I will definitely be going back! read more

This place is awesome! The owner Ronnie, is very accommodating and knows her crafts! The store always has the latest items that have just been released, unlike the big house craft stores. Her prices are more than fair not to mention the specials of the month, sales bins, and 40% off one item that is not on sale. The paper she carries is top quality and gorgeous! There are not that many scrapbooking stores around anymore, but I always shopped at Goldenshill, because they always have the latest and greatest supplies. We hold Saturday crops at the Clifton Town Hall and I can't tell you how thrilled we were to find out that Ronnie was moving Goldenshill Papercraft to Clifton! This is one amazing store It has beautiful paper, stamps and crafts. A huge selection of markers and paints. The thing that makes this store PERFECtT is they way they treat their customers!
