I took my Stihl chainsaw in to get it tuned up and I was told it needed $400+ in repairs and that it was a saw in high demand and would I be willing to sell it. I told them it wasn't for sale and that I would pick it up. I sent one of my guys to pick it up and it came in pieces, the mechanics never reassembled it. I then called and was told they usually charge to put it back together but bring it in and they would take care of it. Why would you disassemble someone's machine and give it back in pieces in a bag? I have a Mantis roto tiller with several attachments. As customary with all 2 cycle engines my tiller would not start. Came in to purchase a pressure washer. I am a weekend warrior but I wanted to buy a good quality pressure washer for my home. My gardener had mentioned goldenwest lawn mowers to me. I called to check stock and availability and the owner was extremely helpful. He gave me a breakdown of all the makes and models and told me to come in for a demo. I went in the following day and met with the owner and he showed me all the pressure washers in stock. They had all the accessories that I needed. I could have gone anywhere to purchase a pressure washer but I am very happy I came to Golden West I was provided excellent customer service and they also showed me how to put gas and oil and how to maintain my new pressure washer. Unfriendly Overpriced Clueless Shoddy work Smacks of being a front for some kind of organized crime racket When you drive by you'll see scooters lined up outside. Walk in and there are decent enough looking supplies of generic scooter parts. You'll have to walk all the way in the back to find the guy with his nose in his precious lawnmowers. He won't know a thing about what the parts fit or how much they cost. When you finally do get someone to help it's almost as if they'd rather be selling cell phones in the mall or predatory lending mortgages. When he tells you how much a spark plug wire costs you'll begin to realize why all the buckets of brand new parts have dust on them. Service? A friend from church took her scooter there for an oil change, it took over a month, cost her $100 AND they left loose bolts that came out, her back wheel almost fell off while she was riding it! Called these guys 3 times before someone actually answered the phone. They answered with a word I could barely understand, with the final attempt I could make it out as 'Goldenwest'. He answered, I gave him my query, he said 'hang on'. He put the phone down for 9minutes while I heard tools rattling and people talking in the background. Then I finally hung up. Then he tells me he'll have it ready in just a few hours... What?!.. Sweet! I came back and picked it up in a few hours just like they promised. This was just a bad experience to start with. I bought my son an electric Razor which brook down after a week. I was told to bring ir here and they will fix it under warranty. I took it in almost 4 week ago. I got a bad feeling after 1 week when I called to see what is happening and I was told we were not even entered into the system. I gave my information again and this happened 2 more time in the next 2 weeks. Along these time, I was told several excusses that the employee is off, sick an on vacation. Then I was told it will be ready twice in "a few day". To top it off, last I called, I was told the part is on back order. This is the main battary on this top selling scooter. This place was recommended to me by Orange County electric scooters. I brought my Electric scooter here at Goldenwest lawn because I was told they could fix my rear flat tire and replace my front fender which was cracked. I was quoted $90. I dropped off the E bike and was told I would get a call when it would be ready. I received a phone call only to get there and find out that they Goldenwest lawn mowers cracked the "new" fender that was originally replaced by them. They were unprofessional and NEVER apologized for this inconvenience. Then I was told it would be another 3-4 weeks because part" front fender" was out of stock. Then finally Mgr FADI wanted to charge me full price $90 even though the E bike was not fully repaired!! If they did not want to fix E bike.. Why did they take the job to fix my Electric bike only to make things worse!! This business is unprofessional and I would NEVER go back!! read more

Really bad quality and service. Can't see how they keep customers. During the 3 weeks waiting to get my Stihl Trimmer tuned up (was told they'd call me in a few days when it was done) I called to check the following week and was told it needed a new carburetor and I told them to go ahead with it. A week later they called me to tell me it needed a new carburetor. I told them I had already told them to go ahead. A week later they said they'd call me when it was ready. They didn't. I called the following Saturday and they told me it was ready. I paid them, took it home, and it didn't run. I had to drive back in and watch the person helping me try and fail to get it to run, take it into the back area, leave it there, say nothing to me, and then stand around while they goofed off with their other visitors and each other. I'm still standing here wondering what's next, wishing to Hell I'd gone somewhere else, feeling like this ordeal isn't even half over. read more
