I took my RYOBI mower here for a warranty repair and they were great. I live 4 and a half hours away, but there were no closer authorized places that could take my mower, luckily I had a concert 45 minutes away. I had planned on dropping it off and having it shipped back to me, but when the very friendly and helpful gentleman that helped me found out how far away I lived he was able to get it worked on immediately and had it fixed in half an hour. I was definitely not expecting this and it was very nice to not have to worry about my mower getting damaged in shipping and be able to have my mower back and working so quickly. Had an old school Paramount corded electric trimmer, the bump head spring broke(came flying off). measured it to be 1/4" w x 1-1/4" h, brought in the head, and pic on my phone. The younger guy didn't spend too much time helping me, felt like a lost cause, "just buy a new one". But older dude, looked in back and "special" case, and even gave me places to look up online. But his lead at nearby McFadden & Dale was spot on. Had exactly what I needed, turned out to be 7/32" x 1-1/4". Cost me 80 cent for part, bought two! And I was almost resigned to,go get a new trimmer at Home Depot for $100+. read more

I would give this shop 0 stars, but I guess one star will have to do! We took our Firman generator for repair under our warranty, it's been there for 2 months with nothing done to it. When I called for updates they were rude and condescending. They blamed Firman for not sending them the parts to repair it, when I checked with Firman, nothing had been ordered. Firman has agreed to provide us with a new generator excuse of the horrible service we received. I would strongly advise not using this shop for any needed repairs, they are terrible people to deal with! read more

Extremely disappointed. I brought my generator here in hopes to get a tune up and replace the pull string. The next morning I went and used it for work and noticed it seemed off....it was only running at 1/2 of the speed and I almost wasn't able to operate my business because of This issue. Coincidentally they had told me I had to ajust the "valves" which would be $100 and I declined the service because the generator was $200 brand new and I was already $40 deep with the tune-up. So I take it back to them after the issue occurs and they decline any knowledge of why it would be happening besides the "valves" that needed to be switched. Besides that they weren't able to explain why. Generator went in working came out broken with nobody able answer as to why.....over a tune up.....very disappointing. Can't rate their work but I can rate their customer service. I have a Ryobi String Trimmer that needs repair under warranty. Lee's is the closest to my home. I went to their website and used their contact form but it didn't work. Strike one. Called them and the guy impatiently answered the phone, "LAWNMOWER!" I asked about Ryobi warranty service and he said, "Yes, with receipt!" then hung up on me (it wasn't an accident). What the heck? I had a couple of other questions. Called Anaheim Lawnmower shop and the guy who answered was exactly the opposite. Friendly, helpful and informative. Even though it is twice as far from my home, I'm off to Anaheim. read more

Lee Lawn Mowers is a mower, gardening power tool and repair shop. It is located across from Goodwill and Radioshack on Bristol just north of Warner. There are three parts to this place. The main shop is packed, so packed if you are a big person, you will get stuck. There is the repair shop which is on the side of the building. There is a back part where a bunch of gardener/ day labors were hanging out. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful. I was looking to reenact a scene from "American Psycho" so I had to get my chain saw up and running. The guy in the repair shop got my McCullough chain saw up in no time. They recommended some oil for it, too. It seems that you can haggle on price, so be aware. Overall, I thought this place was better than South Coast Mowers. read more

Called ahead asking for help buying a chain saw. When I arrived, I asked for help with the chain saws, he pointed and said "they're over there." No one helped me so I walked out. I then went to Goldenwest Lawnmower and got great service, explanation, etc. so I spent $400 on a chainsaw, gas and oil. They threw in a few extra items and the extended warranty! Took off one star because repair took a week and a half longer than originally quoted (wasn't a parts issue this work was all labor), and I had to keep following up to know when it was ready. Lee's Lawnmower is an organizational disaster. 1. The place is a mess when you walk in, clearly a fire hazard. 2. Customer service is terrible. They get to you when they want. 3. I never received a phone call from them when my item was ready for pickup. I continually had to call them. 4. I had to make two trips to pick up my chain saw after repair. The first time it was supposedly ready, they couldn't get it started so I had to come back a second time. 5. The only redeeming quality I can think of is their prices seem to be fair. I have been into Lee's Lawnmower repair a couple times. Both times they have had the parts I needed to fix my mower. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly. I recommend doing your research and knowing the part # for the item you need. There is a bit of a language barrier, which could be tough if you didn't know what you needed. The store is a bit disorganized, but just ask for help, and they will get what you need. There were numerous gardener trucks in there picking up and dropping off their equipment . I would give them a 5 star, but the store is a bit messy and disorganized.... But if you need a part, who cares if it is messy , as long as they have it in stock! read more

I took my slightly over one month old lawnmower I bought from Sears to Alan Lawnmower because this place is affiliated with Sears under warranty lawnmower. Because it was not a manufacture defect, I will need to pay for the fix myself. It was my fault that I did not fill engine oil on my new lawn mower properly. Alan Lawnmower repaired department was rude and told me my entire engine needed to be replaced and that it would cost me $265 which is about the same cost that I purchased from Sears. I only used my new mower for the first time and after about 15 minutes it just died on me. Instead of throwing my new lawnmower away, I went straight to Lee Lawnmower. I spoke to Steve. He was a straight forward knowledgeable guy. He filled some oil in then pulled the string to start the engine. Immediately, he said the connecting rod that holds the piston need to be replaced. it would cost me parts and labor for a total of $95. I asked, "not the whole engine?". He laughed. He told me to come back next week to pick up my fixed lawn mower. I picked up my lawn mower today and I brought my non-working gas blower for him to take a look as well. From now on, I can confidently say this is the place where I will bring all my gardening equipment for repair and maintenance. read more

We took our Craftsman lawn mover and Ryobi string trimmer in as neither were running correctly. We were told we would be called the next day with the diagnostics and price for repair. After two days we called, were put on hold for literally 20 minutes and then told that both needed the carburetor rebuilt. The lawn mover is 13 months old and the trimmer 18 months.... The cost for the lawn mover would be $40, the cost for the trimmer $55. We said yes to the mover and no to the trimmer. We were then told the mover would be ready in 2 hours. We picked the mover and trimmer the next day. The mover is working fine, however when I went to look at the carburetor for the trimmer I discovered that several pieces were missing: filter, throttle switch and spark plug. Needless to say this did not make me happy. We are now discussing if these parts were on the trimmer when we brought them in....they were. If you rate a business by the condition of the store and lot then Lee's get a big 0. I think they could not put these parts back on the trimmer as they could not find them in the absolute mess they work in. Until the missing pieces are returned we have stopped payment with our credit card. I suggest anyone needing lawn mover service look else where. read more
