The building was beautiful, but it did feel that it's still early in the process to revitalize the market. Many stands didn't appear open or taken, but there were a few vendors open when I walked through. I stopped by a stand (operated by very friendly Amish staff) and got a hot soft pretzel, which was a great snack. The market house has clean bathrooms and plenty of seating. And the air conditioning just about saved my life. Not a bad place to stop by for a snack, but I wouldn't say it's a must stop during your time in Columbia.
