What a fun place to visit on a Saturday morning! I visited Central Market with my friend and her family last fall. The Market has 50+ vendors selling goods such as food, clothing, and art. Apparently, it used to be a farmer's market, but has shifted to a food hall concept. Central Market has an interesting mix of different cuisines which I personally loved. During our visit, I sampled jerky, a lobster roll, and some incredibly delicious doughnuts! I really wanted coffee, but couldn't find a coffee stall. I ended up going down the street to a local coffee shop. There's plenty of seating in the middle of the space. Parking is free in the garage across the street or you can do meter parking on the street. I'm planning to visit my friend later on this year and we will definitely be going back!

Came to visit here for the first time this past weekend and loved it! The market is huge and has a variety of shops including floral, eats, produce, bakery and much more! My favorite shop was the oil stand. They sell a variety of oils and vinegars and if any of the flavors sound intriguing, you can taste samples before buying! At each of the stalls we visited, the vendors were all so friendly. I also think at some markets, the cost is increased because the ambience that you are at a farmers market but I would say the value of these items were more than reasonable. For instance, we bought a bagel w/ cream cheese, and 2 HUGE slices of tomato pie for just around $10. Also got a latte for about 3.50 so not bad at all!

Pretty nice! Enjoyed the services offered from farmers market in York. I walked around and explored the many vendors. From the exotic ethnic foods to wineries, etc, it was great!

1st time at Central Market Place & I ended up at Gyros had the spicy chicken panini combo & the flavor was delicious.

A wonderful stop in York for lunch! We had cheesesteaks, hot dogs, and tater tots at Auggies's Joint and picked up some dog treats to go at the Doggie Bakery. The food was first rate and the staff was so nice. Great to support small shops and entrepreneurs! Some of the businesses are cash-only, but they have an ATM on site. The live music was a great touch, too.

Fun place to visit! Great food and vendors. Free parking on Saturdays. Something for everyone.

What a wonderful market! Central Market in downtown York PA has something to offer for everyone. Housing a robust collection of prepared food, produce and craft vendors, the market makes for the perfect Saturday morning activity. Food options are diverse, ranging from fresh made pizza and bagels to sushi to Brazilian cheese waffles (must try). On the produce/grocery side, you have a wide variety of locally grown veggies and sourced meats available. Highly suggest checking out the oil and vinegar stand located towards the right side of the market, as they have some unique infusions that will elevate any home chef's creations. Prices overall are very reasonable considering the quality and locally sourced nature of the goods. Parking is relatively easy, as there are 2 garages within a block of the market as well as meter street parking (both are free on Saturdays). If you ever find yourself in York, definitely make it a point to stop by Central Market for some shopping and lunch!

I've been to Central Market twice and it's the cutest, best place in all of York! Small and gorgeous on the outside, the inside has dozens of vendors from local wood carvers and grab and go BBQ to homemade and package jam and amazing crepes! I came here with a few friends which was perfect. We also have different dietary restrictions so we could pick where we wanted to get food and convene at some benches. The staff I interacted with were so nice and incredibly eager to share their products or make us their food! A must visit if you find yourself in the cute town of York, PA.

A friend and I decided to make a quick day trip to Dutch PA Country this past weekend, and the Central Market House in York was one of our stops. The market has been held in this same building for more than 125 years, and the building is pretty amazing! The vendors inside the market were more prepared foods, hot foods, and pantry goods than farmers, so it's definitely a great place to grab a meal. We didn't eat a meal, but we spent about an hour or two in the market. My friend bought some tea from a tea vendor and dog treats for her new puppy from a dog treats vendor. I got some freshly ground coffee and candied jalapenos from another vendor. And we got a couple of beers from Mudhook Brewing Company, which you can access from the back of the market. It was definitely crowded on a Saturday, which we noticed because we live in a city that still has an indoor mask mandate in February 2022 (which we assumed York did not as very few people were wearing masks in the market). The market is in a great area in historic downtown York, so you can definitely explore the area and other shops, restaurants, breweries, etc. after you finish up at the market. The market is open Tuesday and Thursday from 7am-2pm and Saturday 6am-2pm. (They do mention that they have First Fridays at the market, too, so if you're in the area on the first Friday of the month...) There were garages for parking in the area (free on weekends), but the spots were hard to come by on Saturday! We got lucky and someone was just pulling out of a spot! The market isn't a traditional Dutch PA market now (if you're looking for a Dutch PA experience on a trip), but it is definitely a fun market to explore or stop for breakfast or lunch if you're in the area!

4.5 This place has been as much a part of my growing up and growing old as any place in York. Visited as a child - checking out competitors to my father's truck farm. Alas! the farmers have all but gone, yet a few "newer" farms have taken their place with some beautiful fresh produce. Henry's ham sandwiches at lunch for a business where I was temporarily employed. Tender, sweet and excellent price! Visited at other times just to stroll through and relive fond memories that go far beyond the two instances cited here. Another regular - Bruners Exotic fruits have delicious drinks and (sometimes) out of the ordinary fruit. Two life-long friends and I came specifically to sample the crab and oysters at The Fish Market. We were not disappointed. Tender and succulent fried oysters and savory sweet crab cakes were a delight. And for $7 including chips and water...great price! Testing in the "common" area was easy to get although there are times when long wait is theorizer of business. Several other places like Conrad's Deli seem to have been here forever while a few odd-ball vendors don't fit the old image, but are simply a sign of the times. So while vendors may come and go, the sweet memories (too many to mention) remain.

If you like different from your everyday market This is a place for you. With a large array of places to eat and different ethnic food served you will enjoy this market. Also the other vendors are very artsy and cultural. Offering one of a kind crafts and some hard to find Italian oils and balsamic vinegars Custom cut meats and fresh veggies. The list goes on but stop in and spend some time after this pandemic passes. Stay safe and see you at marketplace Bari Orchard and Tap Room

My husband and I have been hunkered down since March with the occasional socially distanced/masked up essential outing, as well as a lot of daily walks sprinkled in there for our sanity. We woke up feeling restless yesterday, so we decided to make the short hour or so drive to York, PA to walk around Central Market House and pick-up lunch. I've been to this market on countless occasions, but I always notice new stores/stands every time, in addition to the regulars. We made sure to arrive in time to be able to take our time browsing. There was a mask policy being enforced, but I was definitely uncomfortable with the amount of people dining at the tables without their masks. I understand that it's nearly impossible to eat with a mask on, I think it was just bit jarring to see that people were opting to eat in the market, rather than take their food to go. We got quite a bit this time, from the lemon bars at Garden Gate Fine Foods, to the glazed donut rings from Pops Amish Pastries, as well as the beef jerky from Conrad's Deli. The lemon bar, donut ring, and beef jerky were all very good. The lemon bar had the perfect tart to sweet ratio and you could just taste the fresh ingredients. The donut ring was as soft as a cloud, and I appreciated that no corners were cut on the with the fresh eggs and butter that were used to make it. I opted for about 4 oz. of hot beef jerky, and 4 oz of country smoked beef jerky. I have a preference for the hot beef jerky and really enjoyed that it was not overly sweet or spicy. While we enjoyed our outing and getting out of the house, there was still some anxiousness about COVID, and given that the pandemic is still very much a current issue, we'll probably refrain from returning until after things are resolved.

My spring adventure schedule was packed, so I didn't make it out until the very last day--but I was determined to catch those blooms before they were gone! I purchased my ticket ahead of time through their website, which was quick, easy, and made me feel totally prepared for my first visit. My adventure buddy and I selected the 12:30pm time slot, and when we arrived right on time, there were a lot of cars--but everything was so well organized that parking was a breeze. It was clearly marked, easy to navigate, and because guests were arriving in staggered time slots, it never felt overwhelming. Before heading out to the fields, we popped into the farm market--and WOW! Super cute, surprisingly large, and packed with everything from baked goods to houseplants and gifts. Prices were reasonable, and it was definitely worth taking a few minutes to browse. Check-in for the tulip field was just as smooth. We walked up to the check-in hut, had our QR codes scanned, grabbed our wristbands, and were on our way within maybe two minutes. For 12:30pm on the final day of the event, I was honestly expecting a line--major kudos to Flinchbaugh's for keeping things moving so efficiently. And then... the tulip field. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! Now, it was the last day, and you could tell in the front sections where tulip cutting had been allowed--some blooms were missing, some areas looked a little trampled, and things were definitely a bit worn. But here's where Flinchbaugh's really impressed me: they had clearly marked sections further back as "PHOTOS ONLY - NO CUTTING," and those areas were stunning. Full, vibrant, untouched rows of tulips that made for incredible photos and a much more immersive experience. We spent about an hour wandering through the fields, taking photos, and enjoying all the thoughtfully placed photo prop stations. Another huge win--those props were spaced out perfectly. No long lines, no crowding, no awkward waiting around. You could just move from one spot to the next and actually enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or packed in. I've visited a few flower fields over the past year, and this was by far the most organized and least chaotic. Everything--from parking to check-in to field flow--felt intentional and well thought out. I'm personally more of a "leave the flowers where they grow" kind of person, so I loved being able to simply walk, admire, and take it all in. For me, this was the perfect way to kick off my 2026 flower field adventures--and it set the bar high! At $10 for admission, this was an incredibly reasonable way to spend a few hours soaking up sunshine, enjoying beautiful blooms, and making a little springtime magic on a Saturday afternoon. I'll absolutely be back next year--just maybe a little earlier in the season to catch even more of those blooms at their peak!

There were people selling stuff out of their vehicles scattered around the parking lot. No designated area just hap-hazard and very sketchy looking. We parked and walked inside and right away we noticed that it was dirty EVERYWHERE. There were multiple empty spots where there might have been a vendor at one time. The lighting was terrible, and the place smelled as well. Everything looked outdated and most of the food vendors looked like they hadn't seen a health inspection in months. After a quick walk around the first building we headed back to our vehicle and couldn't get out of the parking lot fast enough! We won't be going back.........EVER!

Parking is not an issue with plenty of spaces. In the back of the complex is the outdoor Flea Market area, which vendors vary on a daily basis. You'll find a little bit of everything, because it's essentially a giant yard sale. In the front of the complex are the sheds, which are literal sheds vendors can lease and sell from. The main complex is three connected buildings with various vendors. Morning Sun Marketplace, unlike some flea markets, has a wide array of dining options. Vendors included video game booths, toy booths, trading card booths, and many others. The selection was rather impressive. All of the buildings were clean and well kept. Our biggest surprise was the booth style collectible and antique center in the middle building. It was full of high-quality items including many retro toys and collectables. If Morning Sun Marketplace is your local flea market, it's a great place to stop in at regularly. We were here in the off season, so we can't speculate on how many produce vendors show up during the months with better weather. Overall, it was worth the visit and I would return.

If you only visit Lancaster for a few days this is one of the places you have to go. My favorite stands: 1) S. Clyde Weaver has insane specialty sandwiches and is one of my favorite delis. I typically get a large roast beef sandwich with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and the sweet bell peppers. The peppers are my favorite and I always ask for as many as they are legally allowed to give me. Caution: the large subs are ginormous so I usually eat half then save the rest for later. The bread holds up pretty well and doesn't get super soggy, but if you plan to eat it the next day, I would forgo the tomato which can get a bit slippery. 2) Kom Essa features the best breakfast sandwich around. Some of the booths were jam-packed, so watch your step and if you go, plan on giving yourself plenty of time to look around! There is definitely something for everyone here, you just need to look around! There was one booth where everything was $1, and several others that were running 20 or 25% off off so deals are to be found.
