Plus, he used to be a chef so his knowledge around health goes beyond just working out. I live in West Philly so it's great to be able to walk to class in the mornings. I also love that I'm supporting a local, small business in my neighborhood. You can really be at any fitness level (or age!) to join. Michael is conscious about working different parts of the body each class and encourages participants to modify the activity so it works for their body and their needs. My 2 kids have been attending Kiddie Academy for 4 months now and I am so happy with my decision to…read moresend them here. They were in an in home childcare prior & briefly at the YMCA but Kiddie academy is such a blessing in our lives! From the first day to now they rave about all of the fun activities they do there. I receive ample updates and can tell the teachers REALLY care about my girls. Meals are included making it easier on me as a mom as well. This summer they had many guests come in - zoo animals, a magician, theatre shows, kona ice, scientist, art bus and more. My 2 year old has started talking way more and my 3 year old is now able to write her name and starting to sound out words. My dream was always to homeschool but life had different plans - however I can not stress enough how happy I am that I know they are loved and learning everyday here. Additionally, I love the fact that they go outside often as in previous childcare locations this was so limited. I have toured many of the childcares in the area and I just want to say that this one is truly a gem and I would highly recommend to anyone. The kids here seem happy every time I come in - not just mine but almost all. Daycare is expensive no matter where you send kids but with lunch included this is still cheaper than many neighboring. I have so much good to say and my only complaint- which is not really a complaint- would be the hope to meet other parents more often as my kids go on and on about their friends at school and I wish I could arrange playdates for them at some point.

I moved to the area and wanted to find a gym as I have always been active on my own. I went in for…read morestrength training and transitioned to adding Olympic lifting to my programming at the insistence of the trainer assigned to me. After months of training here I DO NOT recommend them to anyone. I was originally told I would be paired with a trainer who best suited my needs and goals as it was clear during the sit down that the woman selling me on a training membership would not be the right fit. that did not happen, after months I was not seeing any results and she began pushing me to try the lifting side of the training facility, I had always wanted to try it so figured why not-maybe I will see results from that instead. Come to find out she didn't even have the certifications to be doing personal training and only had her Olympic lifting ones. While she was away I worked with a different coach and saw an immediate difference in my training (also helped that apparently that trainer had a lot of background training both lifting and personal training). Well now when I asked an employee if I could switch to that trainer not only was I made to feel like a horrible person for doing so but I was told she no longer works there. I then asked who has the same training as her WITH the certifications she had(lifting, PT, etc.) they looked at me like I was crazy and couldn't answer. They have no employees with the proper training and it shows if you pay attention. To add to it when you look around you are paying for personal training and programming and everyone is doing the same thing. I went out of convenience and will now be finding someplace new in the area.
