After only three weeks of classes with her instructor, Jayln, she was jumping in and out of the pool, rolling onto her back to float, diving for toys, and swimming around confidently without struggling. We went on vacation right after her third session, and we were amazed to see her confidently swimming and moving around even in the ocean! Jayln was an amazing instructor, so attentive, patient, encouraging, and great with our daughter. She made the lessons fun while helping her build real skills and confidence in such a short amount of time. We absolutely loved her and are so grateful for the foundation she gave our daughter. We couldn't recommend Goldfish Swim School and Jayln more! Going from not being able to swim at all to having this level of confidence in just three weeks was beyond what we expected.

If you miss a class you receive a make up token but you can't actually use that on the day of your enrolled class, it has to be another day. So you will basically be charged for every class at the beginning of each month, regardless of how many make up tokens you have - which doesn't really make sense to me. Instead of problem solving the person I spoke to on the phone talked over me and just unenrolled my toddler from the class. She said we will be switched to "a pay as you go" instead. A few minutes after the call I checked my account and all the make up tokens were gone because she used those as credit for the month. I didn't even get the chance to verify how many make up tokens I had left. We have a pool at home and loved these classes to teach my son the skills needed to swim. My plan was to keep my son enrolled because he just started really enjoying the lessons but we will just carry on with the lessons learn from his swim coach Delisa.

Assuming it's to give time for the transition between classes, but that comes at a cost for the paying customers. I know it's only 3 minutes, but a 30min class is already so short. Wish there were more dryers because there's always a line for it.

Aside from the swimming, I love it as a parent. Their portal is easy to use, booking and makeups are all online, and no set sessions to deal with for scheduling. My only feedback is that they need to have better yoga and cycling teachers. This means that the teachers should be engaging and supporting; at the very least, smiling at each member and making them feel like they belong in the class. Also, the music can be too loud in the workout floors and in the locker rooms at night. Everyone has earbuds in anyways, so why blast the music?? Looking forward to the improvements.

Nice Equipment 2. Generally nice floor staff 3. Pretty clean 4. Good class selection. The not so good: 1. It is SO expensive and they keep increasing the price, even on existing members. There are also certain things that I assumed were included in the exorbitant membership only to find that they had exorbitant fees of their own. For example: I was wrong to think I could bring a guest to the pool, that would be an additional $50. Unless you use it daily and make use of the amenities (which I did for most of my time) it is very hard to justify. 2. I was initially really excited to belong to Lifetime but had some interactions with staff that left a really bad taste in my mouth. For example: I invited a friend to join me in my workout and was confronted and told training people was not allowed when I demonstrated how to do an exercise. The confrontation was hostile enough that my friend said outright that he would not consider joining the gym to work out with me. 3. It has become very overcrowded to the point that during peak hours it is hard to get floor space, which is a reality for a lot of gyms but still worth noting. For people that really want to workout, you can expect to change your workout to account for a lack of equipment availability. On occasion the only version of a machine has been out of operation for months at a time. 4. There are a lot of ways that the gym feels corporate and focused on a mission of making the most money possible at the expense of member's experience. The 30 day cancellation policy is a final example of opportunistically gouging you because they can rather than just letting you go before the next billing period. In hindsight I regret giving roughly $3800 to Globo Gym when I have had better experiences elsewhere for so much less. I really would not have bothered to write this if they would just let me go but the last ~$180 (prorated) monthly fee is worth it for them. You will meet some nice people at this gym but that is in spite of not because of LifeTime.
