My daughter absolutely LOVED her first class! We did the free trial for the Mini 2 class and she did really great. The instructor was Ashlynn and she was very helpful with our daughter. She is very nervous around new people but was comfortable being in the pool as there was constant stimulation and play. The facility does a great job with cleanliness standards as well as welcoming newcomers. We ended up signing up for a membership right after! We wanted to love this swim school and initially our 4 year old was doing great. She moved from level 1 to level 2 pretty quickly. But for some reason she was stuck on level 2 for months. Each week she had a different instructor so it was hard for her to get comfortable with her instructor.They told us the same thing each week but no one tried different ways to teach her nor did they pull her to re-access her. After awhile it was clear that our daughter was getting bored. We paid for the entire year but ended up withdrawing her and forfeiting the rest of our money. read more

This place is great for learning swim and giving kids focus and confidence in the water. A few times my niece would need individual attention for one specific stoke or technique that she might be struggling with. When this happens, another instructor would easily jump in her lane and give her individual attention and work with her on technique until she gets it. It's really cool seeing her grow and get more confident! I'd recommend this place to anyone, I love the facilities and the folks teaching are the very heart of this place. I just wish it was a bit closer to home but can't fault them for that! read more

My two year old son has been attending swim lessons here for over two months now. Despite being afraid of getting into the water, he is very good at participating the class activities since they make it engaging with balls, puppets, songs, other toys, etc. Our instructor, Victoria, has been great about tailoring lessons to keep him participating but at his level of comfort - like using a cup to splash water on him and moving to a collender with tons of holes to get his head wet instead of dipping him under water. The managers and the owner are also very responsive to emails, comments, or any concerns you might have. The facility itself is wonderful as well. They have changing rooms, showers (both public and private ones), a large viewing area in the air conditioning, a heated pool and the pool is separated into a different room that is warmer as well. Goldfish swim also offers a free trial swim for you to see if you like their services. You have the option to change days/times of your lessons on their online parent portal, schedule make ups and let them know if your are going to miss a day. They have family swim times throughout the week where you can go for free (12-1 Tues-thurs) or pay per person swim (Friday and Saturday, $5 per person, caps at $15) which is a great deal as many neighborhood pools are closed in the summer. With some subscription packages, the family swim times are included or discounted, I believe. read more

Teachers are patient and try to make it fun and playful for little ones. Progress is slow but steady! My little one loves to get ribbons for her accomplishments. Only wish it was 2 per class as they don't get much time when all 4 kids are present (30 mins), but it seems that is standard in other places. read more

We signed up with Goldfish as early bird when they were still building the school. We couldn't be any happier, there is so much to write home about. The staff, the facility, the heated pool, the way lessons are organized, the flexibility for schedule, make up classes, the changing room, heated water showers, the hair dryer station. My kids were going to Katy Aquatics who uses Tompkins HS pool which was cold. The staff there was good but they couldn't put organization to the lessons and obnoxious parents who would stand in the walkway causing a jam for the students, no more! After moving my kids to Goldfish, they learned more in a month than they did in a year in Katy Aquatics. Bottom line: We love Goldfish. read more

He asked us to come back for another jump start class with a new teacher. We have had a much better experience! This is a place that truly cares about your child and going above and beyond to help them learn to swim. My 5-year-old daughter just started lessons at Goldfish and was extremely anxious about getting into the water without a life jacket or floaties. Her first lesson went great. Second lesson was very tough for her because of her anxiety. One of the instructors stayed with her after her second lesson, supported her, and even agreed to work with her during open swim time - outside of the schedule. Now, that's what I'm talkin' about. Love this place! I take my 16 month old here and they are so sweet, organized and understanding. I've had to reschedule a couple of our lessons and they are so nice about it. They are also very helpful! Anyway I definitely recommend this! Oh and did I mention my little one is not afraid of the water and has learn to come out on the pool's edge! Love it! read more

Covid-19 conscious! Goldfish re-opened their doors on Monday (May 18) with new Covid guidelines in both the pool & in the waiting area --they exceeded my expectations. Before there would be 8 to 10 lanes of swimmers now there are only four. The teachers are using modified holds to train swimmers. And I love the modified celebrations (no contact hi5s). Don't hesitate to bring your kids. read more

My 8 year old son takes classes here, and we both love this swim school! The staff and teachers are wonderful, and the pool has great amenities. He has a lot of fun, and enjoys being able to pay $0.25 for a treat after class. They give out ribbons to motivate students, and celebrate their achievements. Goldfish Swim School has exceeded all of our expectations. Our 3 year old son started in their "jump start" clinics only three weeks ago. Before going to Goldfish he had never been swimming without his puddle jumper. I won't lie, the first 3 or 4 days were rough.. but Coach Blake gently encouraged Gus every day and by the 5th lesson Gus was swimming on his own! I couldn't believe it so we signed up for another jump start clinic (same teacher, same time, 5 days a week) and specifically asked for Coach Blake because how great he was. By the end of the second week my son was a FISH. He begged to go see "mister Blake" every day. Coach Blake gets all my praise in the world.. I'm sure all the other instructors are just as great, but we have a very special place in our hearts for him now! We love the level system and Gus is very determined to keep earning ribbons and moving up! We plan on continuing lessons twice a week now and will probably do one more jump start clinic with Blake (crossing fingers) before the summer is over!
