My youngest is in the Water Babies class and has so much fun with all the songs and activities. It's the perfect way for little ones to get introduced and accustomed to being in the water. My oldest started off in another instructor's Aquatots class and things did not really go smoothly for him in the first class. We were considering pulling him out, but he got switched into a class with Miss Niki and we wanted to see if things would go differently. Within his first class with her he got more comfortable being in the water. She was very attentive to his needs and did not push him too hard at the start. Since then, we have seen improvements with each class he has with her. She engages him in things he is interested in which helps he tremendously. He is getting more and more comfortable in the water and the fear is slowly fading away. This is only possible because of the effort and care Miss Niki and the staff at Emler Katy show. Also shout out to Miss Addi, she taught the first class my youngest attended and was very informative and caring.

We had Coach Sydney maybe once and she was so sweet and kind! We've had Coach Helena every time after that! She's been going to ballet far longer than swim lessons, yet she is much more comfortable with swim and much more comfortable with Coach Helena than with any other adult (that's not immediate family). My 9 years old girl said she was okay with swimming in small pool, not big pool I talked to her instructor a couple time; they said no, she could swim. And yet, we took her to public swimming pool for 5ft deep; she got scared. Not sure what she has been learning there; so we decided to move her to a different school. We gave them 30 days notice, I spoke with the staff whether we could still do make-up classes after that day. They said fine, those are your classes, you can still take them. The reason I asked for make-up classes because we have like 12 classes when she was out due to medical and vacation. Today I checked to schedule her make up classes and can't. Called and talked to the staff, they said I had to pay $20 to take make up classes. I was like the staff I spoke last time didn't say that; she said I must have talked to a TRAINEE, and that person gave wrong info. OMG! I didn't mean to write a review about my daughter's progress; because every kid is different. But to pay taking make-up classes make no sense to me. We paid when we were out, they promised to honor make-up classes. Then they don't.

Purchased three groupons for my sister birthday the day of her birthday. We were late due to…read moretraffic, rain and not being from the Katy area. Michelle our instructor was understanding in these matters and she jugged both the students who were their on time, who were 15 mins into their paintings and my family who were settling in. Michelle got us up to speed within 10 mins of our arrival. The example painting was very intimidating for first timers, but Michelle dissected each section of the example painting with efficiency but realistic tips and tricks. She was super helpful in aiding us with aspects that were to scary to attempt on our own. Their was a 5 minute break were you could sip and snack, but we mostly kept painting because it fun and relaxing. Top 40 hits was playing in the background which allow me to relax even more, and sing lowly the lyrics. Overall we had a blast. Recommendations: wear clothes you can get paint on, you have an apron, but things happen. Have a small bag with you, big hand bags take up space under the table. If you have a Groupon deal, print it before you come. Bring a small sitting pillow, the old backside gets numb when you sit for 2 hours on small plastic stool. Its a unisex restroom, go easy on the liquids. Have a protective cloth and space in your car for transport of your masterpiece after. All in all we had a grand time.
