Well what a terrible experience that has turned out to be. We tried twice over a very rain filled weekend with no luck because of their electronic system not working. We tried to explain that we just wanted to exchange for live ones but the employee would not help because the system was down. OK I get that you have inventory but why not just write the information down and enter it into the system when it starts working again?! What did you do before you had an electronic system? The plants had expired & we gambled and attempted to return them 10 days past the warranty. The young lady took the plants back and assisted us and advised us in terms of our options moving forward. I additionally contacted the owner Jo in reference to some landscaping work and he advised me that he is booked until next month. By booked he meant unavailable to give an estimate until next month. If there is a knock against Heaven's Garden their plants will be a little smaller than you'd fine in a "Non" Organic Nursery. Last year when they were less busy, Jo walked us around and gave us useful tips on how to plant our brush. The young lady this time explained that even when you do everything right factors like wind, soil acidity, mulching, and fertilizer deficiency can play a part in failure.

Running short on time, it was suggested I try Heavens Garden, as it was much closer to home. I called, and was given directions and told the lady what I needed, i.e. compost, gloves, and most importantly on this trip, Peonies!! I told her i would be right down. When I arrived I was met at my truck by this very friendly woman, who said, "you must be the Peonie lady!" lol! As she was walking me to the "Peonies" I was looking around..very well kept grounds, and all areas of interest were clearly marked with signs telling you what type of plants could be found there. They even had areas marked, "Sun Loving", "Shade Loving" ect.. I was particularly impressed with the ornamental trees...all trees, and plants were extremely healthy and robust. I was told they grow all their wares on the farm just next door, and that it was a family operation. I was really happy with the knowledge, and the attention to customer satisfaction given to me. I do not like to write negative reviews. Wentworth's did not stand behind what they sold me. I…read morefind myself at the end of all attempts to have Wentworth's fix a problem they created. I purchased what was supposed to be a sugar maple. Planted it, it leafed and it turned out to be a Norway Maple. An invasive species in some states. Reached out to them in person, rep could not help, took my name and number and no call back. I called. No call back. Asked my landscaper to reach out to them since he does a lot of business with them. The landscaper did, and got nothing but pushback and denial, "we have not sold that type of Maple in 20 years" Obviously, the grower made a mistake, but still, Wentworth's did not stand behind any part of this. That is unfortunate. So now I am out $179 + tax + a fee to get it planted. Wentworth's will be last on my list of nurseries that I will do any business with in the future.
