What meant the most to me as someone starting their very first garden is that no one made me feel silly for being a beginner. They were patient, encouraging, and genuinely helpful. They're also incredibly informative and helpful. I recently purchased some herbs from Ed's and their team meets you at the entrance to try to guide and assist you. It's a nice touch. Once you move on to the area where the herbs are, other folks will assist you there as well. Additionally, the selection of herbs is superior and more varied than what you'd find in the nearby home stores. Ed's also carries a ton of flowers - fortunately they are around to answer questions because the selection can be overwhelming. Bottom line: there is no better place in the area for landscape that beats Ed's. Even for Christmas trees or herbs.

We attempted to remove some ourselves but were quickly overwhelmed by the task. I researched native plant landscapers and came across Swamp Rose Co-op. After reaching out, Jeff, one of the owners, came to do a site visit. He was thorough in his presentation of plans and this February we had them come and do bamboo removal and plant some native trees and shrubs to act as a privacy screen. The Swamp Rose team was amazing! They pulled out over 2 tons of bamboo and roots! They planted native trees and shrubs which are thriving. Our backyard woodland meadow dreams are coming true. We have the team coming back in a few weeks to rip out the standard plants seen in the Silver Spring area (liriope, lilies, weeds) to replace with a native garden and we can't wait. One of my favorite aspects of this company is it is a co-op. The employees can be owners, and those who aren't are still paid a living wage as calculated by the MIT living wage calculator. They do excellent work! It is hard to find a native landscaper but this team is fantastic.

I chose second option they presented and could not be more pleased with the service I received. The work I had requested was a two part job-they first came to spray the weeds (and I was pleased to see that they were actually using a non toxic herbicide because I have young kids and pets) and returned the following week to complete the actual landscaping part of the job. They arrived on time and stayed until dark to finish the job. The two other landscaping companies quoted me a price that was almost double what Alpha Omega ended up charging me. (Possibly the other companies were charging more because of my location in Potomac?) They followed up with me the following week to make sure I was keeping up with the watering and to see if I had any other questions. I didn't have any questions but did hire them to come out to do a small lawn renovation and to re seed another area of my yard-and I am proud to say that my lawn is now beautiful and green! The landscaping they provided around the pool and entertaining area is still going strong two years later. I seldom write reviews but as I was sitting out on my deck overlooking the landscaping, I decided to write one today to let everyone know how pleased I am with Alpha Omega!
