I initially contacted another lemon law firm around my area, and their advice was to go and get another repair attempt at the Toyota service center (even though I knew nothing would get done). I contacted David just to see what he thought of my case and he felt it would be worth my while to pursue since I had already went through arbitration through NCDS and they denied me buyback due to "client unable to demonstrate problem with vehicle" even though my car still had the same issue (fuel tank not filling all the way in rav4 hybrid). David was very professional and articulate on the phone, and I appreciated that he understood the field well and explained to me all the details in pretty much every step (he also had worked in the past as an attorney for car manufacturer so he has experience on both sides). He kept me up to date on his communications with the other side and his thoughts and I always felt informed on the process. Every case is different so we wanted to share our experience with the vehicle, what lead us to pick GoldSmith West and their expedient amazing results. Several years ago we purchased a new vehicle and before it reached 15,000 miles it started to have issues. Since the vehicle was under manufacture warranty we were not concerned plus we had purchased the extended warranty, and thank our lucky stars we did! During the several years we owned the vehicle we had the reoccurring issue and other issues that were mostly likely caused by the original issue. After about 4 or 5 years after owning the vehicle we started to receive letters from various attorneys informing us that our vehicle was identified as a "lemon" and that there could be a legal remedy. I was about to sell my old car, which had 93,000 miles on it, when I received a lemon-law mailer from Goldsmith. Although the car was in great shape and running fine, I had the transmission replaced twice at 70,000 miles and 76,000 miles. But the manufacturer had replaced both transmissions free and even paid for my rental car while mine was in the shop. And this was all done well after the 60,000-mile drive-train warranty had expired. I thought my chances of getting any settlement money were dim. On a lark, I called David and asked him a lot of questions. He assured me I had a strong case and that I would never have any legal bills regardless of the outcome. His confidence in the case, as well as the stellar reviews on Yelp, convinced me to give it a shot. He expected a settlement in three to fourth months. In reality, it ended up taking around six months before the manufacturer bought the car back and I was paid. That was the only slightly negative experience about the whole process.
