I reached out to three. Jeff Rager was the first to respond and was very nice. (Mind you, I typically steer very clear of attorneys.) The second firm replied, but after a couple emails they referred me to Rager Law, because of who my employer was. The third never responded to my note. I worked for Kaiser Permanente and had some trouble. I only reached out to get legal advice, after spending a year trying to get some sort of meaningful dialogue. Being pointed to different people, who then referred me to other people, and relying on policies that had good intentions, but were not followed, I was exasperated and stressed. I knew how a pinball felt, getting bounced around only to fall into a hole and start over again. I loved my work, my patients, and my co-workers. I knew that I could not lower my stress with overly aggressive and mean representation. I needed integrity and nice people. When the other side was late getting something to our team, Jeff would alway give them the benefit of a doubt. Jeff and his team remained firm and professional, without the bad behavior. When things needed a stronger tone or action, Jeff and his team were right there, and stayed respectful. They were with me for the long haul and were confident in their abilities. They know their law and lean on the right way to do things. I felt safe with a legal team with such integrity and polite ways. There were boat loads of records, and they went through everything. When it came down to it, we agreed to settle. I didn't want to spend the next years with this stress hanging onto me. I wanted to get on with my life. I heard the pro's and con's of my decision, and while we had a very very strong case, I decided to move on. Going to court would have yielded more money, but it wasn't about that - to me. I felt good about the settlement, which was enough to get attention on how not to treat people and do the right thing, and also catch me up with savings. Employers only change behavior if it's expensive to continue the bad behavior. I hope I helped start some kind of meaningful change. Finally, the fee schedule. I appreciated that the fee schedule changed the more the case progressed. At first I was, "that's a lot," and it was. Other firms were a tad higher. In the end, I feel like Rager Law more than earned their share. Their support had comfort, confidence, and was an absolute value. Now that everything is done, I feel like I have a distant friend in the legal world. They are really that nice. I can't say enough good about Rager Employment Lawyers. I offer you this, it's best to reach out early and not become exasperated with worry and stress.

My spouse gave her my documents without my knowledge. I informed the attorney that my spouse does not live with me. After I informed the attorney of the immigration fraud she did not immediately demand to have my spouse and myself come to the office. She withdraw from the I330 case on Jan 23rd after my spouse filed a fraud Vawa case. The fake domestic violence restraining order case was dismissed because I was not home and had proof. I also have a email chain that Marie sent me after my demand letter that shows she knowingly assisted in my spouses immagration fraud scheme. Marie emailed me a email chain that my spouses aunt sent her on Oct 20th. It had no subject line. The email had my spouses aunts taxes. My spouse then forwarded that email to Marie with the subject filled in with her name and " Spouses 2024 tax returns". I received this email after i sent a demand lettet Feb 2026. I also asked Marie why is there no follow up email correcting this fraud. I recieve no response. I also have the proof of unethical legal practices. There are only adjustment of status recipients from the lawyers office. On Oct 22 2025 my spouse signed a agreement with her that said she needed my spouses 2 passports, her aunts passport, her son's birth certificate, my taxes and my documents. She signed the immigration packet under perjury that the petitioner provided the documents to her office. That is a lie. She sent me 2 emails after I sent the office a demand letter stating that my spouse had my documents and that the documents were returned to my spouse. I have never been in the same room with Marie. I never payed Marie. I have asked what is the scope of her alleged representation with me. We'll all i get is that I cannot help you. But she had no problem knowing submitting fabricated and false documents to USCIS. My spouse has her hand written notes from her meeting with Marie. I have them as evidence. I just don't understand what's taking USCIS so long. Anyone out there if your looking for a attorney to represent you the run away from this office. This is 100% accurate and I welcome any reply or lawsuits so I can keep ringing the bell for fraud attorneys.

I'm a lawyer and occasional collaborator with David Mallen. Sometimes lawyers act in ways that seem like they want to earn all of the bad jokes and insults slung their way. David Mallen is not one of those lawyers. In my experience, he is always above board, clear, and honest in his dealings with co-counsel, opposing counsel, and most of all, his clients. A word about his clients: They tend to be folks on the lower rungs of the economic ladder, so when they are cheated out of their wages, it's especially painful. So for an attorney to take on their cases, take on their cheating bosses, and get results is more than just a "win," it's a moral victory. I really like and respect David Mallen. When the terms of your settlement agreement doesn't have your best interests in mind, and you ask…read morethem about it, they tell you to talk to a tax attorney to answer your questions, and that they can not offer you any advice or any explanation, because they're not tax attorneys, completely leaving you in the dark. This is the point where I went from feeling like a had an attorney that was alright, to completely unsure and regretting picking them to represent me. It sucks because if ever there is a time to want to feel confident and assured in the people representing you, it's then. They pressure you to settle. "We advise you accept this settlement" " yeah but I don't know what my acceptance of this settlement means for me come tax season, could you please explain it?" "No, but we advise you accept this settlement." The only communication you'll get with your attorney come settlement time is the forms you need to sign. It's supposed to be a 45/55 split. You get 55. But they split the initial amount then they charge you fees which they deduct from your portion. Shouldn't what you're charging me in fees be included in your portion of the settlement? Isn't that what your portion is for? What is your portion for then? So now it's a 45/55 split, with THEM being the 55. And you still haven't paid taxes on that settlement. They'll remind you that this is what you agreed to as if any normal person understands what any of that shit means when they sign it, not to mention you signed that agreement four years ago, and they'll make you feel stupid for even asking. That's what I get for expecting a bunch of lawyers not to be a bunch of shiesty swindlers. Also I had to show up in person to my deposition in the opposing attorneys office while my attorney was on zoom. I don't think they understand how uncomfortable it is for a former employee to be present and alone in the law office of the attorney for their former employer. It's like imagine being robbed, and now you got to go make a statement to the authorities, giant camera pointed right in your face, in the office of the defense attorney representing the criminal.
