Great Facility, Instructors and Pricing…read more My nine year old daughter just had her first lesson with PGA Pro Jeff Gallagher. She's just learning how to golf and we wanted to get her lessons before she picked up any bad habits. She had a great time, learned a great deal and left the course excited at the prospect of the next lesson. The course is fairly close to our home and plays relatively open and forgiving. The club house is very pretty and has dining with a good view of several holes. The practice facility was located at the far end of the driving range in a stand alone building. The building has two indoor instruction areas set up with video to record your swing, Jeff also had an Ipad which he used to record parts of the lesson and provide visual feedback. This was a really helpful part of the lesson. I'm not sure if this is something that's common in lessons now as I took my few lessons long before there were cameras on phones and recording your swing was a big add on cost for a lesson. One wall of the room opens onto the driving range so you're actually hitting indoors out onto the range. It was in the mid-40's during my daughter's lesson so the indoor instruction was welcome but Jeff indicated that they provide lessons outside as well. Towards the end of the lesson Jeff conducted part of the lesson on the putting green which is also part of the practice facility. Though we didn't use them as my daughter is so new to the game the facility also has a chipping area and sand trap. We're both looking forward to future lessons. I'm planning on updating the review in a couple of weeks.

Today I got a lesson from PGA Pro Darrell Taylor…read more Sand can be somewhat intimidating to "golfers" like me. To begin with, I'm not a good golfer, 22 handicap. But I love it! What can I say? Before this lesson I often had to use my "hand wedge" after a couple of lost strokes to get out of the sand. I've been told by a number of players, not pro teachers, how to make a/the shot. Somehow their suggestions didn't work for me. Now I know why they didn't work! Darrell gave me clear visual explanations which made, after some practice, getting out of the trap pretty simple. I just need more practice, more practice and more practice. I'll see tomorrow if I can take this lesson to the course. Finally, I'll be back to see Darrell as I develop new and unusual ways of hitting errant golf balls.

There are multiple instructors here so it's easy to find one that clicks. He takes one private lesson and one group lesson a week. It's not cheap here but prices are comparable to other courses. I love that they have a separate lesson facility away from the public driving range and it's own small training clubhouse. The only negative is there isn't a lot of shade here so get your lessons early in the day especially during summer

I am so incredibly happy with the progress that I have made since working together and this is reflected in the results that I have seen in my own game. I thoroughly enjoy each and every lesson and always feel like I am continuing to improve both my technique and strategy, while actively implementing the work we do in practice during my matchplay. From the start, I told Adrin I was willing to put in the time and work, so we would routinely do 3 hour non-stop lessons and he would absolutely push me all the way. Since we have been working together, I have won 3 leagues and 1 tournament at the 3.5-4.0 level, and it has only been a little over 2 years since I first started playing.

Tom at Las Vegas Golf Adventures messed up and I would never use them again! He gets no stars but would give him 5 middle fingers.

Got very honest answers, and he obviously went out of his way and took extra time to ensure I understood the ins and outs and expectations I should have about the product and sport. Eventually decided to drive across the valley again on the same day to support a business that deserves it. I'll be driving across the valley forever, anytime I need something skate-related. This place is an invaluable resource, especially for people new to the sport(s). I initially did a private lesson with someone, whose name I can't remember, at Coronado Golf Course many years ago and I had a bit of a bad experience. I left feeling more frustrated than I was when I first started because I was unable to hit the ball, even once, after following the techniques that I was taught. I was instructed to keep my arms as close to my body as possible and in doing that, I was unable to swing through because NEWSFLASH! I have rather large breasts blocking that pathway... HELLO!!!! I kept trying to tell the guy but I don't think he could relate, LOL, and surprisingly told me to stay the course with the "keeping my arms close" nonsense. After my first lesson lesson, I became convinced that I would never be able to golf because I have boobs and gave up the sport entirely, chalking it up to be something that was not for me. Fast forward to now, I decided to give it another go. I met with Shane and he broke everything down in a very simplistic way and what d'ya know!? I was able to hit the ball right away. What a difference having a great instructor makes! I would highly recommend hiring Shane for a private lesson. He turned something that was frustrating and seemed impossible to learn, into a sport that I look forward to learning more about. He is a great teacher! Can't wait to take more lessons from him soon and start kicking ass at golf!
