Gomez Stone LLC. completed the reconstruction of the patio area in a competent professional manner. The workmanship was excellent.

Worst paving company in Columbus. They fought me on replacing the driveway that wasn't installed…read morecorrectly even after I filed a BBB complaint. The crew that came to replace it wasn't very professional about it either. One was caught wandering around to the rear of my house, one let the roller sit too long in one spot at the end of the driveway, and they left without placed tape across the end of the driveway. I heard one of the guys say something about it and one of the others said, F@#k him. Let's go." Would not recommend if they were the only paving company in the area.

While attempting to get out both entrances of the apartment complex, I was blocked in by both. So I go to the front entrance, and one of the paving trucks is blocking both the left and the right turn lane. I wait for five minutes, nobody moves so I honk at the guy to signal that I'm back here and I need to be let through. He looks up at me, and goes back down, looking at his phone. I go around him and almost get sideswiped by a car because I could not see properly. Would not recommend this company. They were told not only by a maintenance man but also by the property manager that they could not be blocking anybody in. If something were to happen, or a car get hit, this company is absolutely liable. They've been told multiple times, and still cannot just have basic respect for people trying to get to and from work

My family just moved into our new house in Grandview Heights and were getting some work done in the…read morebasement (new paint, new flooring, etc.). The painters noticed some mold and water damage near a few of the walls. I called Ohio Basement Authority and Jordan came out the next day. Having a finished basement makes figuring out if there is water coming in tough, but he walked me through the possibilities, and how we could remedy each one. Not being used to having a basement (I historically lived in *much* drier climates!), I really appreciated the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that he showed in walking me through the different situations. I decided to go with the interior waterproofing. I was scheduled to have my new flooring installed a day later, so the speediness that Jordan came out literally saved me thousands of dollars (and the time of having another floor installed!). Thanks OBA!

This is an update to my 6/18/2026 review of Ohio Basement Authority…read more "Wendy L. (Business Owner)" quickly responded to my posting, saying they would be reaching out to me and requested an email with more information. As requested, I sent an email to them on 6/22/2026. I know they received my email, as I got an email back from them on the same day, again saying they would be reaching out shortly. Well, it's now 24 days later and no contact -- I was simply ignored again! My 6/22/2026 email (slightly redacted) follows: Received the following response to my Yelp review: [Here, I included the email from Wendy L.] Not much I can add to what was written in the review (repeated below), except my identity (which you should have had enough clues to figure out anyway) and the tech's identity. The tech is [tech's name]. I am [my name, address and phone number]. If you want to attempt to make amends, at this point it's not enough to have someone come out and "take a look and see if it's warranted". The only thing I would want to hear is "here is what we'll do to better level the sidewalk". My main issue is not whether it is/isn't covered by warranty, it is the shameful lack of responsiveness -- I was ignored 5-6 times. Wow!!! Additionally: * Do not have [tech] contact me -- I will not talk to her. * I need to be told what [the tech's] take is -- does she agree that what I documented is correct, or does she have "another story"? * I need to be told if her manager was involved. I have no way of knowing, but I suspect he/she was and I further suspect he/she told her to just ignore me (as he/she apparently ignored me). * I need to be told if any any internal reprimands were issued. If you can't accept those conditions, don't bother to contact me. [My name]............. Original Yelp Review - 6/18/2026 I had Ohio Basement Authority do some sidewalk leveling, which included a one year warranty. It would appear that not only do they not honor their warranty, they simply ignore their customer's inquiries and complaints, hoping that the customer simply gives up and goes away. OBA has utterly horrible responsiveness to customer issues. Here is the timeline and details: 3/25/2026: OBA did the leveling - the results were very good. I paid $1,600 for the leveling which took one guy less than 2 hours to do, so they obviously made a large profit. They indicated that they would do a follow up inspection at one year and if there was more than a ¼" shift, they would make a no charge correction. 4/1/2026: OBA did the one year inspection. The tech found there was a more than ¼" shift. She said she would review the original paperwork at the office and call me tomorrow - that never happened. 4/15/2026: I sent the tech an email asking for the status - she never got back to me. ?/??/2026: I believe I sent a second email, but I can't find it in my files. 5/14/2026: I called the tech and she answered. She said she wasn't sure if it was from sinking (covered under warranty) or roots pushing the walk up (not covered). I said that it appeared to me that there was some sinking that would benefit from a repair and suggested that if she wasn't sure, OBA should err on the customer's side and make a correction. She said she would talk to her manager and get back to me tomorrow - that never happened. 5/19/2026: I called the tech and left a voice mail - never got a response. 5/21/2026: I called the central office and talked to an agent. I explained my situation and asked to have a manager call me and discuss it. She said she would have a manager call me - that never happened and now it's mid-June.
