I am a general contractor and contacted Mark at Utmost Renovations to give me a quote for the stucco portion of my project. First of all during that call, he made a very crude joke. I just let that slide but thought that was very unprofessional especially since he doesn't even know me. Long story short, I accepted their bid and communicated that I had several subcontractors that I needed to schedule but that they were the first domino in the line up and therefore I couldn't schedule the others until I knew when the stucco portion would be done. I explained that we were in a hurry due to winter coming. So I asked if they could get started within a week. Mark said that he would get back to me with a start date. Several days later I still hadn't heard from him so I contacted him again and said if there is someone else I can talk to to get this scheduled just let me know. He gave me the phone number for Bruce and said call him. I called, left a message and after 4 days when I still had not heard back from Bruce, I called Mark again and said in a very calm voice, "Mark, it's been over a week and I haven't even received a start date, and Bruce hasn't returned my calls either. I really need to get this job going." Mark responded immediately in a belligerent tone saying, "We are very busy so we don't really give a SH*T if we do this job or not because we have all the work we need. SO, do you want us to do this job or not?" I said "With that reply, no I don't." He said "fine!" and hung up. I never write reviews. And as a general contractor who has dealt with hundreds of subcontractors, I am very aware of the unreliability of contractors. But the level of rudeness and unprofessional behavior shown here is the reason I wrote this review, just to say that if you want to deal with professionals, you might want to look elsewhere. read more

We recently used Utmost for some masonry work, and they did a fantastic job. It was a joint project with electric work and they did a fantastic job coordinating with the electricians. Work is incredible quality, and Mark was prompt and responsive and made a much appreciated effort to get to our house quickly.
