The wait time was really short. There was 4 people and we only waited 15 minutes on a Friday night. Our servers was a college student and she kept our drinks full and had our food out very quickly, and the food was amazing. We shared pizza and had some spaghetti. Wow, the food here is delicious! The food and service was excellent. A bit pricey but worth it because you won't be leaving unsatisfied. My wife and I ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer. Absolutely one of the best orders we've ever had. You get 6 to an order and after splitting them, we actually filled up and took our meal, which was a Stromboli, home. Desserts are good for frozen. Pasta is overcooked and slimy. Pasta sauce is flavorless. Mushrooms on pizza were canned and slimy. Pizza dough undercooked and moist, not crispy. NOT AUTHENTIC ITALIAN! Nothing homemade. read more

With not many restaurants in Jefferson City, this is one of my favorites. Sometimes I get a craving for some Shrimp Alfredo Pasta or hand-tossed authentic pizza. The other day we went and I had the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta. I had them add in Spinach and Mushrooms. It was a large bowl of it coming to the table and I'm finishing the rest today for lunch. very good. Thick, plump shrimp cooked just right. When you walk in, you walk past a glass case with delicious looking desserts. Desserts come out and it's 3 or 4 servings. Huge servings! Their chocolate cake is very rich tasting. Every meal is served with hot breadsticks and hot sauce. They have the typical amenities at the table, parmasagna and red pepper, which I enjoy both. The drinks are usually always filled promptly and the servers are usually the local Carsen-Newman College or Jefferson County High School kids making an extra buck. They are always friendly and well-attentive. If we split a pizza it's usually under $10 a piece, but last time I got pasta and my share came to $20 + with all the extras and drink. Depends on what you get on what price range you get into. Parking is not bad. Sometimes tight and people park on the sides making it tight to get through during busy times. Overall a very good restaurant and we'll be going back again! read more

Visiting friends that live here and went to Gondolier for lunch yesterday. Great pizza ! Our waiter was so nice ! He accommodated the food allergies at my table very well. There was a small mistake and he bent over backwards to make it right. It was really that next level of customer service you always wish for. Our waiter set a high bar for the local food competition... I can't imagine any other place more willing to make sure a customer leaves satisfied. See you next time I'm in town, Gondolier! read more

Disgusting "Italian" food. The Alfredo was bleh. My husband got ravioli and said the sauce tasted like it came out of canned ravioli (Chef Boyardee kind) and it looked like it too. If you want really good Italian, go to Piezanos in Dandridge. They have really good food and really amazing staff. My favorites are the Pizza and the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad. First time at a Gondolier , & I was very happy with the food we received . Ordered on line ( which was kind of a pain in the butt, I got an email afterword & had to play some phone tag to get it straightened out) But they did a great job of putting some good food together for us . Ordered 3 large Pizza's & 2 large Antipasto Salads for pick up . The Antipasto's were Great , & all 3 Pizza's were very good . A little more pricey than the Chain pizza in town , but well worth it . Having grown up in NY with a pizza joint on nearly every corner , I am not easy to please , & this food was much better than I expected , There was plenty to feed 4 teen agers & 3 adults , with leftovers !! Gondolier is my favorite restaurant whenever I visit family in Jefferson City. Everything I have tasted there has been great, especially the pizza, but the atmosphere also really sets it apart. I would have given it three and a half starts to be exact, haha. Service was fine, breadsticks and marinara were good, and the chicken alfredo I ordered was average. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything necessarily mind-blowing. Overall, it's a nice, cozy place to have an Italian meal and it's a place worth trying. read more

In Jefferson City, Gondolier is one of the top places to eat. In a town with a lack of sit down restaurants, it cruises to the top of the pack. I would love to say all the food there is fantastic, but every time I go, I seem to end up with the chicken parmesan and spaghetti. It is delicious. My family and i eat at this restaurant every chance we get. As a matter of fact we celebrated my eighteenth birthday there a couple years back. Everything is cooked perfectly. Servers and hosts are as friendly as they come. My favorite thing from there is the cheesesteak. I always have them add mushrooms. It has many menu items for the entire family and we have two very picky people in our family and we all love it. read more

The cups the adults drinks came in were nasty. Had either soap residue or some sort of film on them one of the bread stick plates had food still on it. I ended up having a hair in my food. I haven't been there in years but I can honestly say I will not be back. The server was good and apologized for the hair in my food. But over all very disappointed in my experience there. And to make things better they didn't offer to discount or refund the food that had a hair in it. I have worked and do work in the food industry so I know the rules and regulations.
