Anthony's Pizza & Subs is a great little find if you are looking for good pizza in Eastern Tennessee. The staff is friendly and as I have said, the pizza is good. Throw in good pricing and you have a pretty winning combination. Coming from New Jersey (born and raised), I used to take it for granted that good pizza could be found on almost every corner. After moving down to the southeastern United States I discovered that good pizza was not on every corner. In fact, good pizza was pretty hard to find. That's why finding places like Anthony's Pizza & Subs is such a treat. Pizza is truly a wondrous culinary delight. The pizza was overly greasy for one. The lady that answered the phone was really short and temperamental with me. They gave me the wrong price. i ordered 2 large pizzas one being a supreme and a meat lovers. they told me $28 plus tax, then called back and said $30 plus tax, And when i picked it up it was $42.55. She said she added the price wrong. for what i paid here i could get 4 of the same size pizzas from papa johns. read more

I don't recommend anything from Anthony's Pizza and subs! We went out of our way to support this small business, only to walk out of the building with a burnt pizza. When I got to the car, I smelled the burnt pizza I open the box took a look at it turned around, went back in side. The building where I was greeted by a really nasty lady who proceeded to tell me brick oven pizzas all look this way. Which was a out lie. There were other people who just got their pizza sitting at the tables and there's did not look like this. She boldly lied. This is an untouched photograph. I don't care who you are. This is burnt pizza, and the bottom is burned is not gonna taste good at all. They did not offer to make me another. They did not offer my money back and they did not even offer to dispose of their pizza. I folded the box up and I put it in their trashcan. It was their garbage they can deal with getting rid of it I was very upset after this encounter with the lady, but after a lot of discussion with several people in the area apparently they are noted for their horrible food that is burnt food and their gruff attitudes. I would not recommend this pizza joint, not their food, not their employees. In fact, they should just close up and go out of business. You don't treat patrons the way I was treated. In fact, you don't treat anybody that way, especially if you're in a business apparently they haven't heard that the client is always right, and I have pictures to prove What I am saying, they took my money, and I never got edible food. I feel that is fraud. I was very unhappy. If anybody wants to have a class action lawsuit against them I'll be happy to join them. The pizza is good but the owner's wife who is typically the cashier isn't very friendly... She makes you feel like an inconvenience. I don't think it's difficult to say "Hello" to your customers/guests that enter your place of business... But for her it seems to be a chore... The 1st time I went in I thought maybe she was having a bad day perhaps. But it just seems to be a constant with her. It's not that hard to smile... I personally think it takes more of an effort to be rude to your customers. Or maybe she doesn't her customers to return. I'm not sure if she understands your customers are the reason you come to work everyday. And previously they took Debit/ Credit Cards... But they have a piece of paper that reads CASH ONLY... Not everyone carries cash... In fact I don't know many people who typically carry cash. Like I mentioned the pizza reminds me of NY Pizza where my Wife is from but I'm not sure if we will return one because of her unfriendly attitude and now they don't or won't take Debit/ Credit cards. read more

My husband misses New York from time to time. Not the crowded streets or crazy expensive housing. Not the influx of tourists or the ridiculous price to park your own car. He misses the pizza and excellent Italian food from small eateries all over the five boroughs. So imagine our sheer delight when this (and I say this with glee) hole in the wall was recommended to us as a great place for pizza and Italian dishes and unlike so many where it's cardboard with cheese and frozen pasta with jarred sauce...the recommendation turned out to be wholly accurate. DELIGHTFULLY so! The interior is not fancy. And they are not trying to be. The menu has the staples you'd expect...marsala, parmesan, piccata and of course...pizza! You can sign up for text specials and every Monday/Tuesday a 14" cheese pizza is 5.00 carry out. You can get an 18" 2 topping for 10 carry out on Thursday. They offer other specials from time to time as well and the food is consistently fabulous with an owner who is very hands on in both locations (there is another in New Market!) and a great staff! We are new to Morristown, Tn and have been trying to find a good pizza place, so far we have tried 3 places and none are worth going back to. We tried Anthony's because of the good reviews. We ordered a Hawaiin Pizza and it was tasteless. There were barely any toppings. You were lucky to get maybe 1 piece of pineapple in each bite. I worked in a wonderful pizza place in California and we always put lots of toppings. We'll keep trying places. Our favorites are in Knoxville and Pigeon Forge, Tn. read more

Everything was great!! If you're hungry, the small calzone is enough for two people. It is huge. The garlic knots are a great choice for aappetizer at a great deal of 6 for $2. They have a check-in a the register for your number to receive extra promotions. I receive some awesome deals for checking in. I love it is family owned. I've never posted a bad review before, but I left the restaurant very upset when the worker told me I was copping an attitude because they refused to honor a coupon that I had bought from restaurant.com that plainly said DOESN'T EXPIRE. She said they hadn't honored that coupon for a year and a half. I can understand that they don't do business with restaurant.com now, but they did when the $10 coupon was purchased and they should honor the customer. $10 was to be used only on at least a $20 purchase and couldn't be used with any other discount. I was ordering enough to make $20 by adding more toppings and getting a drink when I normally would drink water and order the special menu pricing. This place sucks! Pizza was delivered cold. I made a special call to remind them to bring utensils for the antipasta salad. I was assured they would be right out with them. Still waiting after 45 minutes. Have you ever tried eating a salad with your fingers? Fortunately the meat was sliced lunch meat, but the shredded lettuce proved difficult. Best pizza in Morristown! I love Anthony's! Food is good and plenty of it. Calzones are gigantic and the salads are not wimpy and so good! Tiny place and not fancy. Gives it ambiance because you're there to eat. Took friends there for dinner a couple of times and they loved it. Can't dine in, they have delivery and take out. I live out of town, wanted pizza that wasnt a chain. Guy I was working with at Meritor in town said it was good. I will have to agree, cheese pizza was delicious, slightly undercooked but i love pizza a bit doughy so I was fine with it. Service felt a bit weird, I was asked if i wanted to leave a tip, but it was so inexpensive I cut slack cause I spent more time enjoying the food than I didnt enjoy service: (no place to sit, no greetings when i entered, okay inside seating area) again I will say, generous portions at a deal. Good pizza best in town but after being very loyal customer for over a year and getting good service most of the time , dining in we were snubbed and nobody offered to wait on us . We sat at table for 15 minutes and never was even acknowledged.. we left the restaurant. Never happened like that before but kind of turned us against eating there again . The young staff member was extremely rude. I was informed I should leave her a tip for my take out pizza order because the owner only pays her $2.00 hour. Over priced and disgusting. One Chicken Francese, A small ,bland anemic, tasteless ,rubber for chicken piece . A butter sauce maybe ? Tasted more like oilly lemon dish water with pepper. My family and has ordered Anthony's almost every Saturday since they opened. Tonight was the 1st night our order has ever been wrong, we have gotten burnt food more than once and I have never felt like it was bad enough to leave a review. Anthony was absolutely my FAVORITE pizza restaurant in Morristown, now I'll never eat there again unfortunately. The way they talked to my parents was absolutely ridiculous. Saturday's text message comes in for 18" pizza with 2 toppings, we get 2 pizzas almost every Saturday and it is the same order every weekend, 2 18" pizza double pepperoni. They delivered 2 18" cheese pizzas, so naturally you'll call to let them know the order was wrong. I'm not sure who said it but the person on the phone told my parents that "the pizza was CORRECT, it was just MISSING PEPPERONI"!!!!! I am pretty sure that if it is missing the ONLY toppings we ordered on it then the pizza is wrong. Keep in mind, when we ordered the pizza we were told it would be about a 45 minute wait. We waited an hour and half. The driver who finally brought our money back (after many hours) told us not to order their pizza anymore.? That's fine we will not be eating there ever again! All of them were so rude! I'm not sure if they were just having a bad night or not but it is no reason to talk like that to a customer. I have worked fast food since I was 18, never have I ever seen anyone get treated the way we were treated tonight, it is truly SHAMEFUL on Anthony's part.
