Red Onion Pizza has the best Pepperoni pizza for takeout. And their garlic and herb bread stick are made hot and fresh. My two son's and I really did enjoy the quality of their curbside services.

2 out of 8 pieces of our Colossal pizza made it home!

We were in the area and my husband suggested we find a pizza. We drove by Red Onion and noticed a 4-star rating on Yelp. I won't go anyplace under 4-stars, so Red Onion was a go. We checked out their website and they had a coupon special, but unfortunately, it was no longer active and the owner is unable to figure out how to remove it from his website. Hey, not everyone is computer literate, me included, so we understood. We decided to order a large Colossal. It basically had everything on it. Man, it was really good! The sauce was kind of sweet/tangy taste. The crust was perfect! It was tender, but chewy with a little crunch on the edges. The toppings were more than sufficient. Overall, the pizza had immense flavor! Considering two meals at a fast food restaurant costs a minimum of $16+, the $18.99 we paid was well worth the price! We got our pizza to go, and it almost didn't make it home!

This place is delicious! Love the hole in the wall feel, the guy running the place was so nice! I liked that there were pictures of the pizzas on the wall too when ordering. We got the colossal pizza, garlic cheesesticks, tandoori chicken, and baklava. I missed taking pictures of the cheesesticks because I legit ate half of them on the way home THEY ARE SO GOOD. The quality of the pizza is amazing, the toppings taste extremely fresh and not canned, and the tandoori was extremely good and even came with naan! Honestly I really liked this place. Would have loved to see an indian food pizza too.... anyways. A great place to spend my money supporting a local business

Hidden gem, food is so good and fresh!! Seating indoor & outdoor option. They wore Masks and cleaned.

Hidden gem , mom & pop shop Halaal food! Good food we had both Indian and American. Very clean, fresh, and welcoming with good food. Nihari, and chaplie kabob homemade and great taste. Naan so GOOD! We also had pizza and chicken tenders all good. Mom and pop shop, owners are Hard working honest from Pakistan They were, following Covid Protocols. Outdoor indoor seating options owners wear a mask. While we were there they had 8 to 10 different pick ups from all types of people give it a try if you're in the area!!

    Small Mighty Meaty

This place looks like a crap hole from the outside, but I finally decided to trust the reviews and give them a try. I ordered a small Mighty Meaty specialty pizza to go. It came with a small creamy / buttery style garlic dipping sauce when I picked it up. It smelled really good in the car, and looked even better when I opened it up in my office. It was obviously made to order, and tasted great. A couple of very small non-food related negatives - they charge $0.50 just to use a debit card, and they don't accept American Express at all which is my go to card, but I won't let that dissuade me from going back.

We decided to try this place and awe are so glad we did. Our whole crew joined us and there was not a sour face in the bunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Garlic knots were so tasty. We both got a different 8 inch pizza because we couldn't agree on one. We narrowed it down to the Hawaiian with pepperoni and the Rocky Balboa. The 8 inch would have fed the two of us just fine with four large slices per pie, but as I said they had so many flavor combinations that we wanted to try we could narrow it down to one pizza. The pie did not disappoint. The crust was cooked to perfection, the sauce had great flavor, there were plenty of toppings. The staff were so friendly. The food came out fast. I literally have no complaints! We will be back!

On several visits, we have specifically requested that our garlic cheese bread and salad arrive before the pizza so we can actually enjoy the appetizer and salad course first. Tonight, we again had a very clear conversation about this request, yet everything arrived in the exact opposite order. What was most frustrating was being told that "the pizza comes out when the pizza comes out," as though there is no ability for the front staff and kitchen to coordinate timing. In an open-concept restaurant where the order staff and kitchen are working side by side, it seems like simple communication could easily solve this issue. We truly enjoy the food and want this restaurant to succeed, but proper pacing of a meal is part of good dining service. Appetizers and salads should enhance the experience -- not arrive simultaneously with or after the main course. We hope management will take this constructively because the food deserves service that matches its quality

But just about every thing to do with our dinner was low quality The Maitre d (or host mgr) has poor customer service skills. He is the wrong person to be in that position. Sometimes I would suggest to have him train at one of better dinner houses in Knoxville, but his attitude is such I'm not sure he would understand his deficiencies. Overall, he does not treat guests as if they are the lifeline for a restaurant. He made no effort to make us feel he was glad we came to The Kennedy and when we left he made no attempt to thank us or ask how our experience was. If he is not replaced the restaurant will steadily lose customers. The food quality was poor. The salmon on top of Brussel sprouts tasted as if someone in the kitchen poured molasses on top of the Brussel Spouts. Then after it was sent back with the request to re-do the dinner without the sweetener it came back (after a very long delay) with a huge plate of Brussel Sprouts that were completely dried out. It seemed like the people in the kitchen attempted to make up for the poor taste by giving a helping size 3 X as normal. The crab on noodles was a "C" at best. The crab was stringy and the noodles were very bland. If people at coming for drinks and appetizers it probably is a good choice but if someone wants a quality dinner experience I was told by 2 locals who come downtown a lot to eat at Lonesome Dove Brass Pearl JC Holdway (the best chef) Oliver Royale ( we ate here and the food quality and service were exceptional) Osteria Stella Emelia

There isn't enough time for the pepperoni to cook and yield it's flavor to the slices. Two cheese slices 5.49. Two topping slices 9.89. Almost double the price. Make that make sense. The space is cozy with about 4, 4-tops, a few outdoor tables, and a bar along the wall with stools in case you come in for a slice and soda deal at lunch time. We ordered breadsticks, a salad, a thin crust with pepperoni, and a stuffed pizza with sausage. They told us that we couldn't order the thin crust with half no cheese (for our lactose intolerant kiddo who still loves sauce, crust and toppings), as a heads up to anyone with similar dietary restrictions. This is due to the cook time being inconsistent for the cheese versus no cheese sides of the pie. We were asked if we were dining in or ordering to go. We opted to eat there since we live a decent distance away. Our breadsticks and house salad came out first, packed for transport and no plates or silverware were provided. They seemed confused and a bit annoyed when we asked for some. The breadsticks tasted like butter and parm doused funnel cake fries and the salad was fine...served its purpose but nothing special. Our thin crust came out next and was fresh and fabulous. My husband felt like it was a bit more overcooked than when we previously got it. Tons of cheese, slightly sweet sauce and crispy pepperoni. It is cut into squares. Lastly, our stuffed pizza came out. Again, no pie server given and we needed one desperately for the thick and gooey pizza. We waited awhile to get our requested pie utensil and then struggled to cut the pieces with our thin plasticware. The pizza was extremely fresh and tasty, however! If you are wondering what the difference is between the deep dish and stuffed, the stuffed is almost like a pizza sandwich. One pizza crust on bottom, toppings, and then another thin crust on top of those before spreading a thin layer of sauce. The crust is thicker than on a deep dish, too. I am sure that we will get pizza here again at some point, but never ever will we dine in. The trash was overflowing, every table wobbly and in need of cleaning, and unfortunately very uninviting service. They seemed quite miserable.
