This is world class! -Here are some of the amenities: a business center, a teen center, a children's center, a historical center, private rooms to reserve, a conference room, a quiet reading room, an area in the lobby you can eat and talk, and much, much more! -I've found the library ee's friendly and helpful. The overall vibe is good. Lots of families, students, and older folks--a hive of activity. Highly recommended!

I love our library! Despite being an older building, it is very well maintained and feels like a…read morenew structure. It offers a special teen section where anyone can peruse for a book, but only teens can sit and enjoy the dimmed and subdued atmosphere. This is quite the opposite for the bright and open children's section with a massive offering of books for the littles, ages 0 and up. Board books, picture books, short bed time stories, classic fairy tales, and the longer fare you might remember from elementary and middle school. Also with on this section, you will find a large meeting space for groups and readings, and a smaller play room you can book for play dates or just to get your gaggle of kids out of the house. They also sponsor the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program as a push to promote parent involvement in their kids' early literacy. I haven't used the facility's other meeting rooms and study carousels, but they have much to offer the community.

We could make a paw print on canvas or do "lick art " ..by having our dog lick peanut butter off a ziplock bag that had paint and canvas in it. We did both and it was a masterpiece!!! While the young female who assisted me was courteous enough, her female staffer seated next to her gave me the cold shoulder when I attempted to just share a memory of mine regarding bell bottom pants [ As she was wearing] she never replied to me, her lack of engagement was troubling as she gave me the impression that senior citizens are a 'problem' for her. Or that she's too good to briefly engage in a subtle manner with senior citizens.

This is the type of structure and experience you'd expect in NYC, London, and the likes. Absolute perfection. I love the way the book sections and categories are divided and set up on various floors. Each floor is crazy spacious with loads of comfortable reading areas, tables, areas for rest, etc. There are private meeting rooms, a cafe, gift shop, an art gallery, rooftop deck with crazy good views of the city and Ladybird Lake, a children's library called 'Wonderland', an events center and so much more. The librarians and staff are extremely helpful, friendly, and not bothered if you need assistance locating a book. They have almost everything you could possibly be looking for to read whether for research or fun. Access to laptops and computers. Lots of charging areas for media and phones. The library is a true marvel. It makes me happy to see and know that ALL are welcome, especially the unhoused who would otherwise not have a place to go in extreme temps. The bathrooms and entire library are spotless and meticulously clean. We're so very lucky to have this amazing library in our city.

They have a good sized children's books section which is highlighted by a very large doll collection. You can't miss it! Apparently the doll collection was donated to the library and features a lot over very interesting and different dolls. We were only there for the children's books on this trip, but the staff seemed very nice and helpful. I'm sure we'll be back again.

Lo and behold, I came back in 2025 and was pleased to see a completely new selection of books and tonssss of new arrivals of newly released books. Shoutout to the library staff! You can tell they're on top of it! Also, there are a lot of programs for adults with the maker labs and groups, and you can tell the staff really makes an effort here. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is, like any town with young families, there are a lot of little ones / screaming babies in the library. Many homeschooled groups meet here so it gets pretty noisy. I'm not sure if that's a solvable program or what, but it's definitely not quiet, even with headphones on, so be aware if you're there for some silent focused work. Think of it more like a plane or a coffee shop to cowork, haha.

It appears the shop may have a few cats that roam around during the weekdays and am dying to come back to say hello! Parking tickets, paid garage parking if you don't have time to take a bus across town to get to the campus and hike to class. When I was attending, the construction was so bad on the roads I popped a tire on a rock and was stranded for 4 hours. Professors are absolutely terrible. They are condescending and rude. The course work is absolutely ridiculous across majors, a lot of professors don't clearly define projects but then grade you as if they did. Healthcare Administration program professors mock students and spread misinformation, try to make students fearful of their future careers and financial courses are useless to the job, an old man talking about his "knowledge" about healthcare finances. Required reading: the book he wrote. Project management course, I worked on a commercial for the school, professor took off points because she didn't like the commercial and said it wasn't "relevant" to healthcare administration because I didn't include stock images of an administrative job. I had to call professors out regularly for their unethical and insufficient grading. All of this during my two years there, and I had at least two professors openly mock me as if I was dumb. The last straw was them telling me to work 40 hour weeks in residency that I had to secure from their "approved list" with no pay or promise of a job in the end. Changed my major the next week. One professor told me I would be "working at McDonald's" if I changed my major and another mocked a response I had to the lesson in a sarcastic tone both in front of the class. I felt totally embarrassed and absolutely alone, overworked and overwhelmed while attending this school. I wish I could get my money and time back from this university, but in the very least have my degree that I worked so hard for. One psychology History & Theory course in particular held me back from graduating because professor gave over 100 assignments during the semester and took off points because she didn't agree with your opinions, on opinion based assignments. Begged her and asked what I could do to bring my grade up multiple times during the semester and she refused consistently and failed me in the end. Tail end of COVID. $1000 to retake the course. I spent more time trying explain myself to these professors than I ever should have as a college student, it's their job to grade properly and set students up for success, instead they use their position to bully students. They withheld my degree over this one class and the professor has been poorly reviewed for years! Over 120 credit hours earned and thousands of dollars, please send me my diploma!
