I received NO warning while drinking water and was told I had to leave immediately because I had my mask down. I wasn't asked to pull it up, I was told to leave immediately. Absolutely insane that I can't have my mask down for 15 seconds to drink water and be kicked out without any warning. There is no federal, state, or COUNTY law that mandates masks be worn. What if I did not have the resources I do and the library was the only safe place for me to study? There is a gross over reach of power going on. I understanding wanting people to wear masks but to kick someone out completely without a single warning or asking to fix the problem first is insanely uncalled for. Please adapt better policies.

My only complaint for this location is that some returned books weren't showing up in their system and that slowed down being able to borrow again. I'm making sure to return things we've borrowed at least a day ahead of time to be sure that they are making it inside and being accounted for.

We could make a paw print on canvas or do "lick art " ..by having our dog lick peanut butter off a ziplock bag that had paint and canvas in it. We did both and it was a masterpiece!!! If a filing is rejected for a small mistake, the fees are still taken immediately, yet refunds can take days or even weeks. Meanwhile, court deadlines continue running. This creates unnecessary hardship for people dealing with urgent legal matters like evictions or family court issues. Many people cannot afford to have hundreds of dollars tied up while trying to correct a simple filing error. The process should help people access justice, not discourage them from pursuing it.

HARRIS CO was a county of millions, yet the wait was so short through express there. Why so long here, especially since I didn't wait until the last minute.? Here, they need a mystery shopper to prompt them to expedite the process. It is disgustingly slow.

Parking tickets, paid garage parking if you don't have time to take a bus across town to get to the campus and hike to class. When I was attending, the construction was so bad on the roads I popped a tire on a rock and was stranded for 4 hours. Professors are absolutely terrible. They are condescending and rude. The course work is absolutely ridiculous across majors, a lot of professors don't clearly define projects but then grade you as if they did. Healthcare Administration program professors mock students and spread misinformation, try to make students fearful of their future careers and financial courses are useless to the job, an old man talking about his "knowledge" about healthcare finances. Required reading: the book he wrote. Project management course, I worked on a commercial for the school, professor took off points because she didn't like the commercial and said it wasn't "relevant" to healthcare administration because I didn't include stock images of an administrative job. I had to call professors out regularly for their unethical and insufficient grading. All of this during my two years there, and I had at least two professors openly mock me as if I was dumb. The last straw was them telling me to work 40 hour weeks in residency that I had to secure from their "approved list" with no pay or promise of a job in the end. Changed my major the next week. One professor told me I would be "working at McDonald's" if I changed my major and another mocked a response I had to the lesson in a sarcastic tone both in front of the class. I felt totally embarrassed and absolutely alone, overworked and overwhelmed while attending this school. I wish I could get my money and time back from this university, but in the very least have my degree that I worked so hard for. One psychology History & Theory course in particular held me back from graduating because professor gave over 100 assignments during the semester and took off points because she didn't agree with your opinions, on opinion based assignments. Begged her and asked what I could do to bring my grade up multiple times during the semester and she refused consistently and failed me in the end. Tail end of COVID. $1000 to retake the course. I spent more time trying explain myself to these professors than I ever should have as a college student, it's their job to grade properly and set students up for success, instead they use their position to bully students. They withheld my degree over this one class and the professor has been poorly reviewed for years! Over 120 credit hours earned and thousands of dollars, please send me my diploma!

This cool Little Free Library was built inside a mini fridge. I stood there for a second starring…read moreat a fridge mounted on a post before I realized how truly genius this idea was. As a California boy I didn't quite appreciate Texas rain until I experienced it myself. It comes in torrents and rains buckets but sometimes only lasts for a few minutes. A fridge as a library is genius because it offers a watertight seal. No moldy books in here! Take that rain. I found a book about a South African kid who, in his teenaged years inexplicably began to become paralyzed. He was lucid and coherent for years without any way to communicate. It sounds horrible but it was an amazing read and a good reminder that I need to treat everyone with kindness and respect. There may be a lot more going on in that head than I imagine.
