She stated someone couldn't come out and give me an estimate or talk to me because they bundle all their estimates on certain days of the week and they don't do one on one meetings. So, I said, "Thanks, but I'll just have to take my business elsewhere then." I then found a company to do it. A week or so goes by and I receive a message from someone at AAA named Joseph Sullivan, stating they would like to come out and give me an estimate. I responded to the message and said, "Thanks, but I was told you don't do that by the lady that answers your phone, so I already scheduled someone else, but if for some reason the current company falls through, I will get back in touch and have you give me an estimate." Well, that ended up happening so I got back in touch with AAA. I left them a message on their voicemail and sent Joseph a direct email asking for him to come out and give me an estimate. I received ZERO RESPONSE. That tells me all I need to know about this company and my project is a decent size job. The fact they couldn't come out and talk to me when I originally called because of how they do their estimates was bad enough, but then when I actually allowed them a second chance and they couldn't follow through tells you all you need to know about AAA Sealcoating & Paving. What Makes a Five Star Company…read more We had E. F. Marburger tile our foyer last year and had high expectations based on the Company's reputation. We asked that the work be done prior to our annual Christmas Open House. It turned out to be a very problematic installation. Our front door was damaged, as was our lawn where the installers disposed of their wastewater, and most importantly the tile work itself was of poor quality. There was also damage to the hardwood floor in three rooms where those hardwood floors transitioned to the tile. I called Shirley Page at Marburger and discussed the issues with Shirley. She said that Marburger had used a crew that was new to the Company in order to meet our installation time request. At this point I would have given E. F. Marburger a single star at best. The Company's response to our issues was to tear out the original tile, re-level the base and have one of their best install teams do the new tile install. They did a great job. In addition, the Company paid for the repainting of our front door, re-seeding of the damaged lawn, and the repair of the damaged hardwood floor by the flooring company which originally installed the hardwood floor, even though Marburger provides the same service. Several months later, one of the foyer tiles cracked. The Company had it replaced in a timely fashion and one could not tell that the floor had been repaired. Their installer, Tom Legge is a true craftsman. Companies that strive to be at the top of their industry should not only be measured by how they meet initial customer expectations, but what they do when things don't go as planned. This is what really defines the pride and culture of an organization. This is why I now rate E. F. Marburger as a Five Star Company Dan F.

I was replacing carpet on an entire floor with three bedrooms, two stairwells and a great room on the ground floor. A five figure job. I made very clear that I have two small dogs. One result of that was to get a special backing so no fluid would seep into the wood floor underneath. A week after the carpet was installed, I started to get pulls, caused by my dogs' toenails. I informed Marburger who sent someone from the manufacturer who determined there was nothing inherently wrong with the carpet. But I have pulls all over the house. Marburger said there was nothing that could be done. But, shouldn't the salesperson have known to steer me away from a carpet that could catch dog nails so easily?

Mike Speek Jr was the rep who came out to give us a quote. He was awesome, professional and gave us all the info we needed. He wanted to make the sale and really sweetened the deal for us which was awesome. We went with an aluminum fence and wanted to make sure it was durable and would last. The warranties they offer are more expansive than any other company we got quotes from. Which makes us as the customer feel very confident in our purchase knowing that if anything were to go wrong, or break, or bend, we will be taken care of. We chose Indy Decorative Concrete because of their reputation and referrals and were initially very…read morehappy with the appearance of our patio. We truly loved it. It was beautiful the first year, with only a few scattered popouts. Unfortunately, our experience over the past three years has been disappointing. Within the 3 year warranty period, our patio began developing widespread popouts. We reported the issue during the warranty window, repairs were completed, and an additional $800 was paid to IDC during that process. Despite the repair, which we appreciated, the condition continued and worsened over the past year. Most recently, June 4th, while simply rinsing the patio with a garden hose, additional pieces of concrete broke loose from the surface, further increasing our concern about the patio's condition and long-term durability. After the warranty period ended, we requested another meeting to discuss the continued deterioration. During that visit, much of the discussion focused on the normality of this condition, with comparisons to our 20+ year-old driveway and repeated suggestions that salt or another product may have contributed to the damage. We explained that we do not use salt on the patio and that the only treatment applied to the surface was power washing and sealing completed by IDC. During this same meeting, we were also told the warranty may have been affected because we had only paid to have the patio professionally power washed and sealed by IDC one time during the three-year period, despite yearly sealing being an additional service at our expense. This was surprising to us, especially since the deterioration had already begun and was reported during the warranty period. When we asked whether customers should reasonably expect a properly installed patio less than four years old to deteriorate in this way, we did not receive an answer. We were offered an additional repair option at our expense, but were also told there was no prior experience showing whether the proposed solution would stop the issue long term. Because we wanted to better understand what we were seeing, we sought opinions from other concrete professionals. Based on those conversations, we have been told the condition appears likely to be ongoing and that repairs may require repeated maintenance and expense over time rather than a permanent solution. We were advised that patching and refinishing may improve appearance temporarily but would most likely not permanently stop future popouts. Complete tear out and repouring was recommended since repairs would be costly and temporary. We understand concrete can naturally have imperfections, and we never expected perfection. However, our contract references minor popouts, while what we are experiencing is widespread deterioration that began during the warranty period and continued after repair. Based on the condition of our patio, which is not yet four years old, along with the professional opinions we received, we do not believe this reflects normal concrete imperfections or the quality of work IDC promotes and are concerned something may have gone wrong with the original installation or materials. We are sharing this experience so future customers can ask detailed questions before signing. What level of deterioration is considered "normal" in the first few years? What does "minor popouts" mean? What happens if a repair completed during the warranty period does not resolve the issue? And what long-term solutions are offered if problems continue? We genuinely hoped and paid for a better quality product and wish this situation had been handled differently. We are left with a patio that is not quite four years old and continues to deteriorate.
