I…read morestopped by the Harford Road location to grab them and was told they were only available at this location. So, a few days later, my kids and I headed there. When I entered this location, the owner, Gary, was working. He was talking to a prospective vendor so we perused the shop while he worked with him. My kids were enamored with the boards and, feeling generous, I figured I'd get one for them. After assisting the vendor, Gary turned his attention to us. I told him what shoes I wanted and the size and he quickly handled that. Then I started asking about the boards. He asked some questions and then was able to make recommendations that allowed me to eliminate a number of boards on the walls. Then I had my kids select one. After getting the board, Gary showed us the skate ramp in back. He gave me a card and told me that if the kids ever wanted to do lessons he could work with them. Such a great experience! Next time I need shoes or skate equipment, Vu will be the first place I go.

He showed us different styles for different needs and their prices were actually reasonable. They had their pup there and we were told such cool stories about him. Funtastik is one of my very first fond memories since moving to PA. Really made an impression on us.

Super nice guy and accommodating. This was one of the last boards left on the planet for the model I was looking for. Went out of his way to offer a signature upon delivery. When it showed up, you could tell they took extra precautions with packing materials to make sure the board wasn't damaged in transit all the way to California. Absolutely stoked on it. He gave us some really cool stickers and the prices are pretty good ( we paid 150 each for 2 skateboards ) the guy was funny and apparently he likes to watch Disney moves and he is really chill with people and kids. So I definitely recommend shrimp town skate shop.

I've been going to Fishbone for years and they've always been nice. Same people have been there for EVER so they know what they're doing. It's a fun place to go because they have a bit of everything. Lots of shoes, especially. Like, skate brands, urban brands but also ones that your mom would want, like Vionic or Dansko. Plus all the trendy ones the teenagers love like Vans, Converse, Adidas. In the winter they got some killer boots and I got a fantastic pair of Hoka One One running shoes there before. They also have sportswear and outdoor brands like Patagonia and Mountain Hardwear (which they just started carrying in women's sizes, whoo-hoo!!). Some Marmot too, I think? And disc golf discs! But also they got trinkets and fun stuff. Like Funko Pops, hemp necklaces, Manic Panic hair dye, tie-dye everything, posters, concert tees. Also THE BEST place for hats in the mall. Hands down. Hanover Mall doesn't got a Lids, so this place kinda nails that vacancy. They change their inventory a lot. I remember seeing yo-yos and juggling equipment back in the day. Don't know how the same people could have worked there for years when I only saw teenage employees on both occasions I went in the store. They were nice but didn't do their job correctly and the price of a board was wasted. Staff sold a regular sized skateboard to parent for a 12 year old saying it was the right size. Clearly too big for the kid and was never used, not mounted, and they would not take it back though their policy clearly states exchange for store credit accepted with receipt. Error by the staff means customer problem. They even have sizing charts on some of their complete boards and ignorant employee failed to utilize it!! I won't take my business there again.
