Stopped in today to grab some lunch. A juice, wrap and mushroom soup. Juice was good, hopefully it was freshly juiced, but everything was pretty well settled at the bottom. I didn't eat the wrap but it looked good. Like thanksgiving leftovers, minus the stuffi the soup was so salty, I couldn't even finish it. And it had chunks of fat or something in it. I thought it was a vegan/vegetable soup? I don't know what this congealed substance was, but I tossed it in the trash. read more

Great store. Love it. A lot of produce is plastic free. Has bread to buy but it's expensive. Has essential oils. Has beeswax and bulk honey. Grind your own peanuts. Bulk spices and everything nice. read more

For the size this coop packs a punch! The location has much to be desired but the bottom line is there is a coop here. Membership was a little pricey for me so I just pay the non member price. Fresh veggies looked awesome. The bulk selection was really nice. The spices really impressed me... smoked alder salt - wow! And the totally legit Nag Champa incense - my FAV!! Pricey at $7 but it really is legit and well worth the cost. I only came in to check out this coop and I left with the incense, fresh tortillas & all natural candy canes for the holidays. Set up was clear, store clean, friendly staff, check out was a breeze! My littles LOVED the kid sized shopping carts . It always makes them feel so much more involved and less boring. I loved my visit. I'll be back to check out the food for lunch one day. I'll post an update. read more

Offers a great selection of fresh and organic produce, grass-fed meats, fresh soups and sandwiches, grains and everything else that you'd expect to find in a natural foods/coop kind of store. Fresh make-your-own salads are available. There is a small dining area for eating. The prices while slightly higher aren't out of sight. I had a reduced price uncured ham sandwich with swiss cheese, lettuce, mayo, and red onion on naan bread. It was delicious. I also had a Burnsville-made chocolate chip cookie that was excellent, and a beet, carrot, celery, apple juice that was surprisingly sweet and refreshing. read more

A solid vegan food option for our long drives through Minnesota. We stop here on the way for the vegan deli salads, kombucha, and super friendly service. The produce looks fantastic, and they have a large section of personal care items and toiletries as well. There are a few sandwiches and things they make to order, but most of it is grab-and-go--perfect if you're on the road. read more

Cute co-op, good selection, clean bathrooms. Jared and I were driving back to Minneapolis from a weekend winter camping trip. We were hungry and drove into St Cloud, but weren't too keen on eating Taco Bell or Pizza Ranch (ok, maybe I sort of wanted pizza, but I knew it wasn't going to be good for me). Jared remembered Good Earth and got us there. Initially, I wasn't impressed; it was located within a strip mall, it had a hokey wood sign, I wanted pizza. In the back of the co-op, they had three selections of soup - Scarborough Fair, Thai Curry, and Mole chili. All ingredients used were listed, which was nice. You could also buy a container of rice or quinoa to go with it, although they were currently out of quinoa. I picked the Scarborough Fair (the ingredients listed included "sage, rosemary, and thyme") and Jared had the curry soup. We also each got a small cup of rice. We had to walk back to the front to pay, then headed back to eat. Soups were pretty good with large chunks of veggies. The Scarborough Fair was mainly potato, it could have used more carrot. Extra salt was needed, but I enjoyed a healthy and hearty lunch. With a beverage from the cooler, it came to about five bucks. We also had a chance to browse through the store selection of goodies. Even though it's small, there is a good selection of items for grocery shopping. The produce section was tiny but wide too. Lots of pretty root veggies and fruits. If you're on a road trip and in St Cloud, stop by Good Earth for a snack or meal! It's not too far off the main drag and I guarantee you'll feel better than eating at Taco Bell. read more

As far as co-ops go, I love this store. They have a really great selection of fruits, veggies, and produce. Lots of self-serve bins of nuts/grains/flour and all sorts of other stuff. Also they have a lot of holistic medicines there and lots of vitamins to supplement your diet. Their fresh soups/bakery is the best part though, it's always just fantastic and makes for a perfect lunch. It's going to be a little more expensive than your average grocery store, but it's supposed to be. It's organic (mostly), and a co-op. It's well worth the extra money. read more

Despite what you may have heard eating foods from Good Earth will not cause sudden urges to grow out dreadlocks, stop eating meat, trade your car for a bike, take up yoga, or hug a tree. What you will find here is a great selection of local, organic, and natural food that is very hard to find anywhere else in town. Just like any other grocery store you have to shop carefully as some items are overpriced but for the most part I can buy the same things I would next store at Coborn's for only about 10% more and the quality is 100% better. read more

A great place to shop local in St Cloud. The selection isn't bad and the prices are good. The bulk soap is great. So many fragrances to choose from. My favorite is the grapefruit. I do wish they were part of the circle of Minneapolis co-ops. read more

I love this place. You get a fantastic selection of organic and natural groceries, friendly service, and that small buzz somewhere inside of you that says "This just might be good for me..." While the prices aren't exactly motivating, if you consider how much you could be spending on eating out or on groceries from Cub, it really isn't too expensive. Besides, the selection of cereals is fantastic and will make just about any morning worth waking up to. The political overtones can be a bit nauseating, however. read more

Plenty of other stores to visit instead. Their prices are outrageous. For all the money they're pulling from people's wallets, you'd think they could offer their dedicated staff a living wage, but apparently not. Management, staffing, operational, and communication issues run rampant in this organization. They have the "from the Earth organic, for the community" facade game going strong, but they're only interested in making the most $$ possible, leaving disgruntled, underpaid workers in their wake. And that's fine, that's most businesses, however they claim to be a cooperative business that values community. Ok. The NCGA would be disappointed. Spend your hard earned dollars somewhere else. It's not difficult to find organic, or even local food anymore - and it shouldn't have to cost you $70+ per bag like they get away with. read more

I like co-ops generally, so I am predisposed to like this one. I usually stop in at least once during a trip to SC. Not a one stop shop but usually pretty adequate. I have enjoyed the carry-out soup, bread, etc. Good granolas. One thing I would like to see is some better dairy selections. I can't say I have noticed the politics.... read more

I am a member/owner at the co-op and most of my family are as well. My favorite part of shopping there is definitely the atmosphere, which I have always found to be warm, friendly, and a little artistic/Bohemian. The bulk products are wonderful, the selection is quite good (particularly spices), and customers are encouraged to bring their own containers to reduce waste. I have tried many of the baked goods and have enjoyed them all, even though I was pretty skeptical of some of the gluten free/vegan options before trying them. The produce has a reputation for being expensive, but there have been several occasions when the co-op offered an organic version for less than Cash Wise was selling the regular version. Overall, the Good Earth provides a relaxed and pleasant shopping experience in a clean environment. Their bathroom is just amazing, like seriously, this is the nicest store bathroom I have ever been in. read more

Great local spot with amazing produce and selection for small store. I swear the deli food and yummy soups get better every time.

I come here once a week to stop in to the deli or grab something I typically spend a lot of time searching for elsewhere. The deli (aside from their being inconsistencies in quality) and products are great, but the staff is less than friendly, often ignoring me all together when I greet them, say thank you, or tell them to have a good day. It would be nothing if it had only happened once, but I am treated the same way each time I come and it makes me feel very unwelcome. read more
