I asked about reinforcing the roof due to the weight of the solar panels and he told me if it was necessary, he would do it as part of the job but it wasn't needed. A few months later, a contractor was up in my roof and he found several broken roof rafters due to the solar panel installation. It costed me $1,600 to repair the damage. Now, just over two years after installation, the electric company has informed me that my microprocessors have stopped working, the panels are not producing electricity and need replacement. Unfortunately, they do not recommend installers and they told me to call the person who installed my panels. Needless to say, I'm researching installers now. There is no way I will call Josh again. I suspect he used poor quality microprocessors and that's why they're failing.

I am one of those homeowners who will get multiple price quotes and do my homework on equipment brands, type of inverters and even seek out others in my area who have gone the solar route already for their experiences. I actually got 17 different solar quotes so I would recommend that anyone thinking about going solar would at least get a handful of estimates before making a decision. Some solar companies will offer you free stuff (like a bunch of LED light bulbs, a new thermostat, etc.) if you sign the contract with them but 'free' really is not free once you see that their quoted price is actually twice the price of the other companies. So I would highly recommend Ozark Solar for your solar needs.

The installation took only a few hours and the crew kept everything very clean. One of their customer service reps, Nikki, walked me through my summary documents and all the support I can expect from Shine going forward. After buying my house, I was interested in getting solar panels for two reasons, 1-take advantage of the 26% tax incentive (reducing to 23% in 2023), and 2-I am concerned about climate change. I got several quotes from providers in the area and figured out what I care about. What stood out to me about Shine was that they use an American manufacturer, they have and honored a guaranteed minimum production, they threw in energy efficiency measures, and overall they have been great to work with throughout the process. I've waited to write this review so that I could include some numbers. In 2021 compared to 2020 I saw a 16% reduction in my gas usage and a 26% reduction in my electric usage. The dollar value of my savings account for about 40% of my monthly payment for the panels. There was no down payment required to get the panels and Shine helped me get a loan. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about Shine or the solar buying process in general.

The trees were removed and he continued to reassure us he had sent the check at least 10 times. Had all sorts of excuses even used a family medical emergency and a death of a uncle. Which I cannot reach him about the fact that the solar panels are installed but there's an electrical issue and are not functional. Absolutely do not do business of any kind with him. He owes me thousands and won't pick up his phone.

I signed a contract for a roof replacement on 3/25. Since then there have been two additional cost increases to the contract due to missing materials, and incorrect measurement of the size of the roof. Multiple specific requests to be notified of when the install date is have gone unanswered. I work from home and will be unable to schedule clients for that date, so need to know in advance. I have been incredibly clear that this is important and I need a specific date. Yesterday I was informed the roof above the front door could not be installed because of the condition under the metal roof. This may void my homeowners insurance for future claims on that section of the roof and is not at all what was agreed on in the contract. They offered to repair the metal roof flashing, and leave the hail damaged metal. Additionally I was told that I would not be receiving a refund on the materials for this portion of the project because the company has had to "eat costs" on my project. Still don't have confirmation on an install date other than "Maybe Monday or Tuesday."

He came by and looked at what and where we needed his services and then was able to prepare a quote on what it would cost. Ramm messaged me the quote that evening after looking it over i was pleased with the quote and accepted it. We then agreed on a day for the job to be completed. Working with the city for permits. And i scheduled the temporary power disconnect with the power company and a reconnect for that afternoon. Ramm and his helper Frank arrived early on monday so he could be here when the power was disconnected. They got started on replacing and relocating the power panel. Which was an all day job i didnt realize it was such a complex job. They worked all day on the project and was ready for the city inspector and past the inspection with no problem. The city then released the House to be reconnected to the power grid. I can not stress enough how pleased i am with the QUALITY of the work and how good it all looks. And now i feel much safer in my home with my elderly Mother living with me with a new updated electric panel that is up to current code. Their solution was to add two turbines to prevent heat buildup and future damage. In late 2024, I discovered a leak in my kitchen ceiling. First Star immediately blamed my solar panels, but my solar company confirmed the leak was nowhere near their system. Soon after, another leak appeared in my living room ceiling where no panels exist. An independent roofer later confirmed that the attic ventilation was not properly addressed, the roof decking is compromised, and there are now five separate leaks. The results have been devastating: costly mold remediation, multiple ceiling repairs, and two years of mold-related health issues. This is exactly what I paid First Star to prevent. To make matters worse, I've called and emailed repeatedly--including to the Director of Operations and the owner--for over six weeks without a single response. First Star not only failed to deliver on their promises but left me with tens of thousands in damage. I would strongly warn others not to trust them with your home.
