This was my first time coming here after a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll be back as they put the embroidery in the wrong place. When I came in I told the lady in the front that I wanted it done small on the side of the bag (hence why I only put Bri and not her full name Brianna because I thought it wouldn't fit). It was all written down on the order sheet and she even had me put masking tape exactly where I wanted it. However, when I picked up the item I was shocked to find that they had done it on the top. Their customer service is great and to make up for their mistake they didn't charge me for the embroidery. Additionally, they also offered to buy a new bag and redo it for me, but I was out of time. If I wasn't tolerant of the new placement I would have been pisssssed. Ultimately, the quality of their work is still great but I'm not sure if I can risk it and trust them to do my items in the future. read more

I've came here for the past few years and have gotten many jackets done. There has been times when I came in and said I needed them done in a week or 3 days and they always got it done on time, so they was really great. The quality of the jackets are nice, the stitching is great, and the pricing is very very cheap. Cheaper than most places I have been to before. They have a catalog book and a wide variety of jackets, hoodies, and other clothing. When a price for something is too good to be true, it usually is. In this case with Good Looking Embroidery, it still remains the same. Coming here about 1-2 months in advance of my deadline, I asked for them to embroid some sweaters for me. First of all I'll say the price is what intrigued me the most. For a standard stitched sweater I was looking for, it usually cost around $50 for an order. At this place they were only charging about $35 for the same kind of work. So I thought I would be saving myself a good chunk of change. I may have saved money but it does not account for the lack of responsibility and lack of quality they have in their work. Based that I placed the order in mid Nov to be a gift given at New Years, it took them all that time to complete my order. After going back to the store numerous times, they continued to tell me that they were too backed up and couldn't finish my order. Finally it was New Years Eve, and when I repeatedly told them this is the deadline, THEY STILL WEREN'T FINISHED. After telling off the person at the desk, they decided ok come back in about 2 hours. I came back and found it was done and was outraged that it took 2 months to finish 2 hours of actual work. On top of that, they didn't even get my order correct and used the wrong fonts I told them. I really had no choice but to take the sweaters and left without ever coming again. Overall if you want to save a buck or two, be my guest. However be warned that you really get what you pay for here. The sweaters I gave had its threading coming loose about a month later. Thanks for nothing crappy looking embroidery. read more

This place is good for embroidering words, not Greek letters. I've gotten a line jacket embroidered here ONCE and the quality was so poor and cheap- I guess that's what you get for the price. But I haven't had any problems getting words embroidered here. They essentially do a good job with that. However, I'm not too fond of the lady that works there. She doesn't come off friendly at all and never asks you what font you want for your embroidery unless you bring it up to her. While I'm too busy color coordinating the stitches for Greek letters I always end up forgetting to choose a font for the tagging. I forgot to choose a font for the tag of the line jacket I got embroidered one time and she didn't even ask me nor did she say anything and just assumed I wanted it done her way. It would help if she brought out the font book along with the stitch colors when people ask to get things embroidered so she could get it done accurately. read more

Great place ! I came here to get matching Greek letters on two zip up sweaters which was 12$ because my sorority only has two letters but it's 18$ for 3 Greek letters. I also got 2 words on the bottom back of the sweaters which one 8$ so I paid a totally of 20$ for each sweater to get embroider. Been here twice. Haven't had any issues. They get quality work done quickly and have not failed to meet the deadline we have agreed on. First time I came was to get my sash for graduation embroidered. No probelms, the work looked just the same as everyone else's at graduation, and cost way less. Second time I went I had them embroider my name and my husband's into our stockings for Christmas, and was pleased again. I am going back next week for a third time. read more

I never had a problem with this place, I've gotten things embroidered here a number of times. Why it does not get the full 5 stars is, they raised their prices twice within the past 2 years, also there is one woman who I dread seeing when I go. She is not as knowledgeable and she makes the order process longer and harder than it needs to be. She is older and a bit shorter. I had to order through her my past two orders and with just this last time I was there for like 2.5 hours. She had to go back and forth and call the main woman numerous times. They need to either hire younger, more well-versed staff to manage the phone and front of the store, or train the woman a little more. The work they do is pretty good, but that one woman with the accent who mans the front of the store every now and then is a definite turn off. read more

Reasonable pricing is the one of the only things I enjoyed about this shop. Their customer service is good and the women who usually approach the counter are nice BUT I've done business with them on 3 different occasions and each time has been the same pattern. Despite the date agreed upon, the job will not be done on time, and the stitching is rushed and looks fragile. My first visit, I gave them 3 weeks and called once per week to remind them and they hadn't completed my order by the due date. From that order 2 out of the 3 sweaters with stitching were alright but the last one began to unstitch the day after I picked them up. It took them ONE MONTH to complete the redo of this sweater. Originally when I brought the sweater back in to redo, they asked me for the extra fabric but I had told them I had never received it back from them, YET when I picked up my redone letters, they gave me the left over yard of fabric they claimed they didn't have to begin with. For my last experience with them, I was part of a group order of graduation sashes for about 25 girls. The order wasn't ready until 2 weeks after the due date. You have to manage this business by BOTH calling to check in on your order and being specific as possible in order to get what you want. read more

Worst place ever. They take forever to fill your order then rush to finish it in one day. They didn't even use the part of my fabric that had the main design on it they used the plainest parts. I've been here for a very long time mainly for embroidering my lab coats, but questionable for silk screening. I was a bit disappointed when the lady there name Ruth (owner?) ask me a week later what color the text is, when it was confirmed and was told to her its white color. Also I was again disappointed to find out that the text did not center well and the lettering came out skewed, especially in front of the T-shirt. I mentioned this to Ruth, but she was helping other customer, and did not even bother to acknowledge the issue. It would be best to ask for the son, I think there may be a little language barrier and communication issue. She also needs to learn how to smile and greet customers well. It was my first time here and I am happy that I got my order on time even though it was a one week ahead of notice. I am also thankful she let me in when they had let me in even though they were closing. She wasn't horrible, but she could at least been a little more into her work she just seemed mean or mad all the time, but she did at least try to help when my psisies asked for help. The product came out nice or at least I thought so. It sucks that I did not check the product after receiving it. I just assumed that it was perfect. Anyways it was just a small part, but I didn't get to see the product after I took it because it was a gift I just didn't get the chance to really look at it. The A for alpha was missing stitches in the middle and details count, it was my bad for not checking it, but did the people who work there check after they had finished their product? They personalize new baby quilts for me with first name and birthdate, personalize duffel bags for camp, put the name on Kiwanis jackets and personalize our official embroidered organization polo shirts for us. Once I ordered something in December for a January conference, and thinking it was for Xmas, they phoned me and offered to stay open late on Xmas eve to make sure I would have it on time. Never before have negative stars been more appropriate. This is one of the worst businesses we've ever been to! Was told a specific price and completion date (one week). We asked for a written quote, but they refused, stating that they don't have anyway to do that. Just write it on a piece of paper! Nope, said that they couldn't do that. Arrived at the shop three days after the specified completion date, only to be met by a yappy Chihuahua and blank looks from the employees. Neither of the two people that we talked to knew what order we were talking about. We were told that "Ruth" probably had the order and would call us when our order was ready. One week passed, no call from Ruth. Two weeks went by, no call from Ruth. At the end of the third week, we called and asked about the order. Again, the person on the phone had no idea what we were talking about, but was able to get Ruth on the phone. She stated that the wrong size item had been shipped to her, that she would call the supplier and have the correct size item in two days. If you can get in in two days, why has it taken three weeks??? Two days later arrived during the late afternoon, as we were told, and guess what? Yup - NOT DONE! Are you kidding? We demanded that it either be done by noon the next day, or we were reporting them to the organization that we are with, who places a multi-thousand dollar order every year (we were replacing an item that had been lost/stolen). Before making the long drive over there the next day, we called first to confirm that it was done. Yes, it was ready. Finally! Sadly, the problem wasn't over. When we arrived we were handed a bill for $20 more than we had been quoted. When we questioned them about the cost increase and how it wasn't what they originally quoted, they asked if we had proof of what we were claiming. Umm, no, because YOU flat out refused - now we know why. We wanted nothing more than to walk out without our order, but this is where the organization got all the items for the rest of the group, and we needed our replacement item to be exact (which it turned out not to be anyway - wrong colors). We explained that they should honor their original price, especially since it had taken them four times as long to complete the order than they said it would. This whole time the d*** Chihuahua wouldn't shut up. Finally, they said that they would give us a discount, but on the higher price. Fine, whatever. Just give us the order so we can get the hell out of this nasty shop. (BTW - We shared our experience with the organization, and they were appalled. The director of the group was pretty ticked that our replacement item wasn't done correctly either. They are planning to take their $3,000+ order somewhere else next year.) Do not come here at all has gone downhill since they moved locations. Took my sons jacket for school. All I wanted was his name on the left side easy enough.... I went in thought they would be able to have it by the end of the week it was Monday(12/4) she says it won't be ready till next Monday... ok fine a week. I come back Monday and the first thing I get is "you were supposed to call it says on the bottom" ok why do I need to call when your providing me the service but I apologized and asked if t was ready? No still not ready. She says can you come back tomorrow later afternoon... really it's 5 letters 1 inch high? I ask for my sons jacket and then she says well let me see what I can do. Mind you all the while talking about me in Spanish.... but now she is going to see if she can get it done sooner? No thank u huge waste of time don't even bother! The prices here are really awesome! $18.00 for the letters, $4.00 for each tag on the sleeve, $4.00 for the back tag and an additional $1.00 for each word you want embroider. That's only $30.00 to get your stitching done here! SO CHEAP!! You fill in a paper with your contact information and what you want on the front/back/sleeves, which I thought seemed more organized than team uniform where they just write everything on a blank sheet of paper. The quality of the work isn't THAT BAD, especially for the price you pay too and wait time to receive your jacket (1 week). The stitching is thinner than other places, but if you only get 2-3 colors on the letters you won't really notice it compare to getting 4 different colors. Also good looking embroidery is so much closer to LA for me and I can go eat 626 food afterwards haha. I recommend bringing your own jacket so you can save even more money. read more
