Today, I met with my new advisor, Josh in their new shiny Virginia Beach office right across the street from West Elm. First, the inside is spotless and modern with iPads and brochures and tons of seating. I was offered a coffee or tea while I waited. Parking is easy with a few parallel street spots in front or the garage across the street with free two-hour parking. Josh listened, he took notes, he reviewed my accounts and we discussed my goals for investment, retirement and growth. I have some homework and we plan to meet again to discuss. Our parent's passed away and our money is being withheld, attempting to look over documents that we deserve to have access and my siblings and I just want to know what is going on. Our parents would have made this process easier, but both died unexpectedly. Edward Jones (both representatives I spoke with) neither was concerned nor able to be human and offer a modicum of respect for the situation we're in. Nobody wants anyone to feel sorry for us, we also don't care for apathy. Unless you're in over your head in debt to KARMA, I'd go elsewhere.
