As a medical student of the osteopathic philosophy I truly value a physician who approaches their patients as more than just lab blood work, but one who investigates a patient on a multi-systematic mind/body/spirit approach. This doctor is not into pushing chemicals out for no good reason and will sit and even make a step-by step diet and nutrition consul for you ( something that you would have to see a nutritionist for) . She cares so much for her patients she even has a system that allows patients to obtain consul, advice, and prescription renewals without seeing . When I asked her why should would do this to the effect that it is unfair for her in terms of payment , she expressed her feelings about how payment was a non-issue when it comes to efficient patient care. This doctor works tirelessly, day and night, in trying to promote health throughout Orange County and practices everything she preaches. She also is brilliant, and a graduate of Columbia Medical School. This doctor will give you advice about health in not just one dimension in regards to prescriptions because her intelligence and intellectual ability are multifaceted. She will soon be moving to Goshen.

I recently did blood work again and compared the results from her tests to current. I had beyond high cholesterol and she did not notify me nor treat it. She was absolutely horrible. I would not recommend her to anyone. The office itself wasn't bad but she was terrible. Because of her, I'll never go back there.

Seriously? What a joke. If the staff is so incompetent that fulfilling the duties of their mindless receptionist job is too complex for them, can you imagine the level of medical care you will receive there, or should I say lack of medical care there? The ER Dr. at St. Anthony's was fantastic the medication he gave me worked fantastic. Here is my problem and all the Doctors know it. I work long hours on my feet. When seeing Dr. Koulova I told her what I was experiencing. I went to work that following week and had sever cramping in my lower legs and feet. I called the office back and they told me they couldn't help me I had to go see my regular doctor. I called the primary care doctor but can't get an appointment for 2 weeks. I called this Goshen Medical crap back explaining my situation and was told they can't help me. I told them to go explicit themselves. How is it you go to a doctor they take your money then wont help you. Screw this place and Dr. piece of crap Koulova why can't they answer a basic question that I had. You have an appointment here cancel it and go elsewhere. I told them I would YELP them and I hope they read this. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY can't say it enough. Thank you for reading. Dr. Sharon Garcia is a NP at Horizon Family Medical Women's Health in Goshen, NY…read more So i went here in 2020 My 1st appointment was bleh, i saw Sharon Garcia, and man i do not like her one bit! First off most women are having sex- she was giving me the impression that it is abnormal to have sex. Also, was very rude as this office does NOT follow the AmericanCollege of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidelines for the pap smear- which is if normal, can be done every 3-5 years. instead lectures me about yearly pap smears. i was saying that because i find even the smallest speculum they have very uncomfortable.(and had uncomfortable paps in the past by another doc) They should keep a pedriac speculum available as it is not one size fits all. Also she said that she would test for all STDS, and i only gotten tested for HPV- to boot not even the way i wanted to: which was a blood draw and urine tests. Nope just a vagina swab while they do a pap smear.... In others words, they have their own ideas and are not open to any other ideas, which is bad. They are also uneducated: for instance Sharon prescribed me Lo Lo Lestrin Fe, i asked if it interferes with thyroid pills- she said it shouldn't but meanwhile in the booklet of the pills it stated *MAY INTERACT WITH THYROID PILLS. To boot, i had to change the dosage of the pills. it helps to know what you are prescribing! Only good thing is Sharon prescribed the right birth control based on my weight. She also failed to tell me that in order to continue with birth control, I would have to talk to the other doctor Alex Joanow, and I am uncomfortable talking to a guy about my birth control manners. As implicated above, She has unfortunately given me a pap smear, and she had very poor bedside manner after i cried and complained the speculum hurt. As above, they should keep a pedriac speculum on hand. She wasn't gentle at all, and it really hurt. Also as a follow up, her office kept calling me and sending me letters when I said that I will contact them if I have any problems. My choices didn't feel respected at all. Don't Recommend.
