Be sure to allow enough time to browse through every nook and cranny. There is quite a lot of beach decor and, also, quite a lot of artisan products too. I was recently shopping at the store and as I shopped i overheard an interaction between the lady at the front desk and a customer. The customer was inquiring about a book he had found that had no price on it. The lady at the desk apologized and told him it had been an oversight. He demanded to know why it had happened. She explained that they had a new volunteer and that they had just missed it. He then stated , very loudly, that she was obnoxious! She had been nothing but polite and pleasant . His reaction was rude and ridiculous. So please do not let these 1 star reviews put you off. I found the store clean, well organized and stocked with excellent bargains and the older lady at the front desk who checked me out was extremely polite and helpful.

She doesn't need to work with customers, she creates a very hostile environment. Also, the music was blaring and made it uncomfortable to try to shop. The "children's room" had no children's clothes, which was disappointing. We went to the goodwill boutique right before and had an extremely pleasant experience and spent quite a lot there. Won't be back to Salvation Army and will recommend the goodwill boutique to everyone instead!
