Super easy to get this done and saves your driveway! Local company that is very good at communicating. Our project had several delays due to weather (completely understandable as it's the time of year). They showed up earlier than expected and did the work quickly but meticulously making sure to completely cover the area and the edges. No residue or splash was on garage door or sidewalk. The two gentleman were very friendly and obviously very well trained in dealing driveways. The price was reasonable and the work was done well. Saw one of neighbors even stop them when they were cleaning up to get information. This company also has other types of services so would check those out when needed since this experience was great. read more

Goode provide sealcoating for my driveway. It is coming off the driveway in little granules. I thought hiring a professional would result in a better job than what I do for myself. WRONG! Based on the results, I could not recommend Goode to anyone. Deficient workmanship and product. read more

Contract says that they would install crushed stone aggregate as required. After excavation there was need for the aggregate however when crew came there was not a truck with stone, only asphalt. How did the foreman know no stone needed? I stopped them before they spread asphalt while he called his boss. However they proceeded to spread asphalt without telling me. He explained that there was already enough stone. It was sand in his hand but proceeded to tell me that sand was stone aggregate. Well after looking on the internet at stone aggregate images, it is definitely stone not sand. As work continued I called my rep but of course he is not answering the phone. I guess they expect homeowner knows nothing and they get away with this. Unfortunately I checked reviews after the fact and others have seemed to have the same problem. Arriving on time, good price is all good if they do what they say they are going to do and not try to get away not honoring contract. read more

We hired Good Paving to pave our 1000ft driveway for $29K, the work was supposed to be done over a 2-day period. First day was to prep the area and 2nd day they were supposed to pave. They never showed up to prep and only came on paving day. We were left with areas that were not rolled leaving the workers footprints in the asphalt, uneven wavy edges, the driveway is like riding on a roller coaster because they didn't do the prep work to grade like the salesmen said they would. Also, the driveway was 1 to 2ft short on the sides as we requested 12ft wide. The owner came out and inspected and told us that he would add the 1ft on to the sides but that we would have to pay him to overlay it, when we refused to pay for their mistake the owner told my husband to sue him. The lack of professionalism this man portrayed was astonishing especially when it was clear they didn't adhere to the contract. I wrote an email to the company stating I would be filing a complaint with BBB (which I filed right away) as well as MHIC and taking to social media. A day later I get a call from the owner asking me to not do those things and that he would add the additional width on and overlay at his cost. The work was scheduled, and at that time we also decided to add on an additional strip at the top of the driveway for an additional $4K since they were already there fixing the other areas. My husband was home this time to oversee the work. They were about to start putting the asphalt down on the new section and my husband had to stop them asking where the base was. The worker said they put CR6 down and it was just covered in dirt so my husband started digging to make sure it was there and he saw no solid base and told them if the base isn't solid the cars are going to sink down causing dips in the asphalt in that area. They told him no it will be fine. My husband let the team continue working and proceeded to take pictures during the process for documentation purposes especially because the new area was supposed to be 3in compacted like the rest of the driveway and it was only about an inch thick. While my husband was taking pictures, the owner went over and got into his face yelling at him about taking pictures of our driveway. Again, another instance of complete unprofessional behavior. Our neighbor happened to be working outside and could hear from across the field and came over later to ask what happened. We waited 2 weeks before we parked on the driveway and pad and immediately we started to see the sinking spots from the tires and various areas starting to unravel on the driveway (see pictures on google review). I emailed the owner, he said he would have someone come look. They came and the owner agreed areas were unraveling but said he wouldn't be able to do anything about them until the spring, he made no comment on the dips, then spring came and he said he didn't have a full team due to COVID, and then when I followed up with him in June to get the driveway fixed he said that he decided he was not going to fix the driveway (that was under warranty) and told us to hire someone to put a sealer on top to fix the issue at our cost. A sealer will not fix the areas that are sinking! I have emails, text messages, and videos to back up everything that was stated above and would be happy to send to whomever may want them. We also had other local paving companies ask to come take pictures so they can show clients what can happen when paving isn't done correctly for marketing purposes after seeing my husband's prior Facebook post. This company does not stand behind their work even when under warranty. I would highly suggest not hiring them especially for larger projects to avoid the nightmare that we have gone through with our driveway and dealing with a very hot-headed owner with no integrity. This company tends to be the "cheap guys" in the area but as the saying goes what's cheap isn't good and what's good isn't cheap. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to avoid the headache, its not worth taking the risk on such a large investment. read more

When they came out to do the estimate they were quick, explained everything they would do, why they recommended what they wanted to do and gave me the feeling that they were there to do a good job and do it right. That is exactly what they did and for less than the other estimates we had. They could have "recommended" more work and the cost would have gone up but instead, they explained it all, we saved money and the work was top notch. We bought our home just over a year ago. One of the first things we did was to expand our driveway. Goode did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. They have since come back this year to do an annual sealing. Once again the driveway looks new again. I think the biggest thing to this companies credit is their customer service. We had one issue in which the seal coat did not set right due to an unexpected rain storm that came in. Goode came back looked at the driveway and their response was a simple "we will make it right" and they did. A company that stands by there work and does not make excuses is hard to find. We had Goode come out to give us a quote on repaving our driveway after a house fire. We received a quote to repave and add additional parking space. We reconfirmed the areas with the surveyor well before the job. Day of, I was told that the job was underestimated by 900 sq feet and that to have our entire driveway done, it would be an additional $1800.00. I called my husband and he spoke to the lead and the price immediately came down to $650 for cost of materials. All-in-all, the job was well done, but the bait and switch was not well received. I am not sure why I was given one price that well exceeded the original estimate and then my husband was quoted something much less. If the surveyor makes major errors in his estimate, it might be wise to send someone else to verify the footage and cost. It doesn't sit well being hit with additional costs the day of, especially when an estimate and scope of work was already agreed upon. read more

would not recommend . driveway has sunk after 5 weeks think I actually got about 1" of asphalt . drive way is a month old and still leaves bad marks if you turn your tires on the driveway. I believe this driveway will probably last 3 years at most sad. The week the driveway was put in we had rain and I had a large puddle near the middle of the driveway . clearly it was not close to level. read more

In the township where I live they require the apron portion of 25 feet of all gravel driveways to be paved, so I called for a quote and when the man came out he seemed like he didn't want to be bothered for such a small area. He told me he'd have my quote to me in email form by the end of the day. Two days later when I called to find out when I could expect the quote he gave me his estimation of price over the phone. When I told him it was significantly higher than others I have had come give me a quote, he started to bad mouth one of the other companies and I will never do business with someone who thinks that is the way to earn my business. read more
